Ah, the issue could be that you didn't have satchel installed, and scarab automatically installed it for you

#

Or if you used the linked version of satchel, it might not be compatible with newer versions of the modding api

i started by installing the mod from scarab (not sure if i had satchel installed before it or not but i do now) after which i tried out the mod and uninstalled it to try the github version (https://github.com/yoink-city/Silksong_bnr) which didnt work. it didnt show up as a mod in the game. my question is if there is any difference between the two cuz the one that scarab installs has only one file while the github version has a whole load of them

The jump is because infinite jump was already present in the game, there was just no way to set it to active in save files until debug mod came around. All you need to do is install it again and disable infinite jump
