Just don’t open scarab with 1.2.2.1, re open it when you’re back in 1.5 and disable and enable the ModdingApi. If you have multiple installations, then it won’t interfere with anything except the path you originally gave it

Hi! I have two questions, if you guys don't mind.

First question: Is ItemPlacer / Plandoplando functional with the latest version of the game? If so, does it work differently than previously? I had an xml file for item switching that was functional in version 1.4.3.2 (whenever I started a new game while the mod was active, the items were successfully switched around), but it doesn't seem to work in the current version of the game.

Second question: Does the Game Object Dump mod only give atlases for the "moving" elements, and not the background? I was actually looking forward to it because I always struggle a lot to find the assets corresponding to the landscape...

First, none of the mods from 1.4.3.2 work in current or any other patch, to get a newer version you should use the modinstaller "Scarab"

And I haven't tried object dump mod but im pretty sure it doesnt dump backgrounds

I have been using Scarab indeed, both for ItemPlacer and Game Object Dump! Sorry for not being clear on that.
I'm not sure whether plandoplando is a different mod entirely? But it isn't in the Scarab list, so if it relies on a mod that doesn't exist for the current version of the game, I guess that explains it.

The Game Object Dump test I made was in Infected Crossroads, and after pressing F2 I obtained a lot of atlases for particles and characters, but none about what makes up the background (besides particles -- stuff that shows up when you break stuff or get a hard landing).

Hi, me and my friend just installed HKMP on Scarab, we did a private Hamachi network and all the enemies, items, etc basically the whole world is for each individual rather than one big network/server world. Is this just the mod, or is there a way around this since we want to do a coop experience? If it is just the mod, are there any coop hollow knight mods out there?

How HKMP Works

HKMP puts a copy of each player into each other players world. Enemies have separate health and can be in different places; items/abilities must be collected separately; breakable objects must be broken separately.

A player's attack will happen in each player's world, damaging any enemies/players it comes in contact with. A player is only hurt by the enemies in their own world.

Additional notes: Progress/Enemies/Bosses are not synchronized by HKMP. Due to how HKMP works, and the game not intending to be multiplayer there can be some odd interactions.

There are no alternatives.
You can still play a coop run together, but you should be aware of the differences.

Personally, I've done coop stuff with people while both streaming to each other on Discord, so that we could easily hit eachothers enemies and such.

Do mods not work on 1.4.3.2 anymore? I have the game in japanese for the sake of speedrunning. But every time i download the modding api and other mods, the game sets back to english, no mod names on screen, and my saves are wiped. Only uninstalling the game or verifying the integrity of the game files reverts back to japanese and restores my saves

If you just got the game, then you're likely in 1.5, which uses Scarab

I think for it to work for me, i had to delete the folder for the modinstaller itself. It was either in appdata of documents or something. Once i did that, i was able to redownload it and it worked. I sont remember the correct filepath to find it though. And my pc isbt nearby at the moment. But its roughly what i did, im sure. Happened a while ago, so thats why i cant remember where that folder is

It just sends a ton of errors at me and says that the programme might be installed incorrectly (I already tried to reset the MI, but it just goes in circles). Then it gives me just the option to manually install them, but when I tried to manually download the multiplayer mod it told me that it was successfully installed, yet nothing changed. Am I missing some core mod that I need? Or is it all because of that error?

Hi guys, I'm having some problems and I was wondering if someone would be so kind and help me. I know it's probably my fault because I'm not that good with all this modding stuff.

What I'm trying to do is to play Hollow Knight with Enemies and Items randomized. I don't really wanna randomize anything else, just the enemies and the items/charms/grubs.

Here's what I did:

I installed the lastest version of Scarab
For items I went with the Randomizer 4 which, if I understood correctly, is the to-go mod for item randomizations.
I cannot seem to find the Enemy Randomizer in the mods list with Scarab, I only find a Enemy Changer which, to my understanding, only serves to change enemy sprites and not actually randomize them.

What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me and guide me?

hi!! ive been having some issues with the custom knight mod? at first, it just didn't work at all and then i added a second skin to the nekomata one i already was using, but now im having some issues where if anything is white, it has this weird blue neon shine. im not sure what couldve caused this? the only mods i have is custom knight and hollow knight multiplayer, and the only skins are laurel knight and nekomata. here are examples of it doing this, ive tried taking a screenshot of this but it doesnt work. i think i can take a photo with my phone instead to show whats its doing (im on macbook)

Question about making backup of our saves. If i want to backup (or remove to free one save slot) one of my save file, i always read that you only have to copy the userX.dat. But what do i do with the other files "linked" to that save? (like userX.json, userX.modded.json, userX_1.15.68.dat etc.. ?)
