Those two versions have different mods, you can't just use mods for 1.4 on 1.5 and vice versa

lets see, you need scarab for making mods work in 1.5 and you need mod installer for making mods work in 1.4.3.2
if you switch versions from 1.4 to 1.5, the mods made for 1.4 will definitely not work because it was never made for the version 1.5

Hey, I'm having problems with accessing the mods folder for Hollow Knight. I'm on mac and when I try to access the folder for Hollow Knight's files, these are the only ones that pop up. Anybody have any advice? Also I'm accessing the folder using the command "~/Library/Application Support/unity.Team Cherry.Hollow Knight"

Scarab doesn't open correctly on MacOS
🔹 Move the file you downloaded (mac.zip) to your Desktop
🔹 Double-Click it, and Scarab should appear
🔹 Right-Click the Scarab icon, and select "show contents"
🔹 Go into the MacOS folder, and then double-click the "Scarab" file

Every mod works but for some reason Custom Knight no longer works. When I open the mods area in the setting of hollow knight it does not pop up but if I get something like hollow point it works fine. I have tried redownloading the entire mod folder and scarab neither fixed it. What am I doing wrong? Thank you

Scarab is just a program, uninstalling it and reinstalling it shouldn't matter at all. Corrupted kin is formatted wrong, Scarab will never be able to fix that until the mod creator fixes it

Hi, new to trying mods for HK and I've got some questions. I used Scarab to install Rando 4, benchwarp, and debug mod. My xbox controller was working fine before I installed the mods, but now it doesn't work. When I have native input off the controller shows as connected within the game but the game doesn't take any inputs. When I have native input on, the controller just doesn't show in the game. The controller does show in Steam as connected regardless and works fine for other games, just not HK. Any recommended fixes?

PS4 controllers and controllers on MacOS can have issues with modding. So you kinda got two issues going against you.

Things to try:

Try toggling Native Input Controls in the options menu
Try going to the game settings on steam, and enabling Steam Inputs.
You can try re-plugging in your controller after getting to main menu.

If those don't work, then you may need to use an external program to remap the controller inputs to keyboard ones.

im suffering an issue with both modinstaller 1 and 2 where its acting super weird. I install it and install the proper mods and it launches the game akwardly. It sometimes like temporarily deletes my saves until i validate the game files. Once the game launched in german. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. im not sure what the issue is

Anecdotally, it seems like there are not little that have issues using BT then wired.

It seems like that may be because you can't disconnect/reconnect them the same way though.
Like, for a lot of people they need to plug in their controller when they are in the main menu for it with right.

I've gotten my controller to work with the base game again, installing mods now. What I did was a full uninstall of HK and Scarab, reinstall HK, go into HK properties on steam, and in controller settings, I changed it from default to Enable steam input. Then I booted up the game, turn on native controller input and restarted the game

#

I'll let you know if it still works after I install mods and start the game

Hi i'm playing on patch 1.2.2.1 and attempting some of my first speed runs of the game, but for some reason every time I close out of the game, I have to rebind all of my key (i play on keyboard) before they work again, causing me to pause the game to rebind and lose time. That all being said, you most likely don't really need to use GODump.

there's a pinned Drive in #art-discussion with all of the 1432 sprites. Almost all of them are the same for current patch.
the Modding server has a thread with all of the current patch enemy sprites (some of those changed, but again, but many).
you can also use Custom Knight to get sprites in rooms, and it's more intuitive, and gives them to you in the format needed to add them back in with Swapper

With Custom Knight, the person shouldn't ever use the .dll that is packed with the skins, tbh.
That .dll is just gonna be whatever version of CK was out when the skin was made, which means that it's almost definitely drastically outdated.
