If you used ModInstaller2, then there's an "Open Mods Folder" button at the bottom left.
Otherwise you can type ?saves in chat to pull up a list of important directories.
It'll be your Gamepath, then: \Hollow Knight\hollow_knight_Data\Managed\Mods for the most common location

A. I'm unsure what you mean by "it didn't work". IT sounds like it did work, if you're able to launch the game O.o
B. Enemy Randomizer shouldn't make enemies invulnerable. You most likely missing a dependency mod (such as ModCommon), or you've messed up your damage with debug

Typically when people have an issue with the Zero Tier method, it's because one of the users isn't properly in the network (if one of the players ZT isn't loading correctly).
You can both try restarting your computers.
You can also both use the public server that's listed in the guide if you can't get a direct connection to work.

I don't work with Macs so there's not much I can help with. If you don't see that file in that folder, look for a folder called ModInstaller or Scarab

This mod doesnt work on a new save, To fix this you must first create the new save, quit to main menu, and load the save again. This will then make the mod work as intended, this applies to both Regular and Godmaster new saves.

Hi, I have current patch installed (Steam) but I need a separate 1.4.3.2 install. I installed 1.4.3.2 using the Steam Patcher method (https://www.speedrun.com/hollowknight/guide/jlten), moved it to a folder, created the steam_appid file and when I launch the hollow_knight.exe file, it just launches the current version from steam. Any idea on what might be wrong?

Yes you can. The HKMP server would be able to answer better but you have to actually numerically label the skins and make sure they align.

no, it should be that as long as the id for the skins are the same, then it should work. I should be sure to say the skin ids have to be the same as the server

This most commonly happens because of a windows permission issue.

Make sure that:

You've moved Mod Installer to your Desktop
You right-click it and select "Run as Administrator"
And that you've already set your game to version 1.4.3.2 if you're using that installer.

If that doesn't work, then you may want to consider using the other 1432 Mod installer (Mod Installer 2).

Alternatively, unless you're playing Rando, you can just use Scarab for 1.5 modding.

um something is up with the debug menu when i install any cheats my sprite starts running around like the energizer bunny and i fall instead of jump i can't even jump right it started a few minutes ago i think something is wrong with the current patch

dawrfwoof sorry i fixed the picture above now when ever i download the debug menu mod my game starts speeding up in everything every thing including my sprite and enemies are speeding up. and when i open the menu my mouse cursor is blown up and huge, i have mod coomon custom knight eneny bar installed when i uninstalled the debug mod my game went back to normal i updated the debug menu a few days ago when it prompted me and now a few minutes ago it started bugging out my game with the debug instead of jumping up it drops me or crashes me into walls.

i also could not disable it because it said i was missing a path frame work for debug mod The only option was to uninstall it. i have redownloaded modinstaller and my game but it still glitches out if debug menu mod is installed

I would suggest that you go through each step one at a time, and make sure that your setup matches.

This sounds like you accidentally rebound "Increase Time Scale" to a button that you press a lot.

The easiest thing may be to reset all of your mod settings files. You can download and run this script to do that automatically: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/879138066961424405/900956017951649822/Global_Settings_Reset.bat

Or you can manually do it by going to your saves folder and deleting every "globalSettings" file in it.
Type ?saves in chat to see the saves folder location if you need it.

Have you read the most recent 3 or 4 pins pinknight ?

You'll need to be on the correct version of the game for the installer that your using.

You also may want to make sure that the installer is set to your actual Hollow Knight install location.

Has anyone had issues with their controller after installing mods? For reference, this is for 1432 on mac, mods via modinstaller 2 and an xbox controller. I've been using a joy2key program, but the input handling of the triggers give me noticeable lag on those inputs (dash, cdash)

Download QoL mod
Open the save you want to add the charm to
Close the game
Head to your saves folder (listed above) and find the User.Json file that corresponds to the save you opened.
Find the charm and set it to true.
You can find an image with all the charms and their numbers in the pinned messages in #archived-modding-development

For 1432 you need to manually install the Modding API, because the one that mod installer gets is only for Windows.

This is the Unix API:

Inside there's an AssemblyCSharp file, and it needs to overwrite the one you currently have. I think off the top of my head that it's in the Data folder that is in the Mods folder path

If you're using 1432, then it may be because you're also using MoreSaves. Otherwise it may just be because of the resolution you have the game at.

The key binds should all work though, so you can just set the cheats you want to key binds

Only the steam and GOG versions are known to be moddable.

There's a post some where with complicated instructions on how to potentially mod the Gamepass version, but I've yet to actually hear of anyone doing it successfully.

Somewhat, yeah. If you go to your saves folder, there should be a "sanic.globalsettings.json" file there (as long as you started the game with it and saved at least once).

You can open that fine up with Notepad (or any similar simple text editor) and it'll have settings.
