Hey, any clue why the Multiworld Randomizer server isn't working at all? Everything looks to be working mod-wise, but it freezes now whenever we (me and 2 others) click on multiworld to make it a multiworld. We inputted the server URL correctly, so I don't know what could be going on. We gave it some time-maybe the server had crashed, yknow? But it's still doing this today.

Are you on the Rando server? It's linked in the pinned messages in #randomizer. You can make sure you're on the updated version of Multiworld as well as get the new server IP there.

Older versions of MW might not work on the latest Rando version.

this might be due to a mod, but sometimes the knight will entirely disappear and loses the ability to fight whichever boss I previously died to. I must then fight a different boss, which allows me to return to the original. the knight is only invisible in the ||hall of gods,|| the fights themselves work fine

The mod installers don't switch versions, you do that in steam or change which installer you're using.

I exclusively use controller, and it sometimes toggles between bosses without any keyboard input

You can't change Randomizer versions of a save. They aren't compatible with other versions.

You need to either revert your Randomizer version, or start a new run

Next time it happens, hit F1 and see if the debug log at the bottom right says what happened.

My guess is that either a button is remapped, or your keyboard is having an issue

No, I believe it's the modding api. I know usually making sure it's updated or changing resolution fixes it, which neither seemed to. I'd say probably update your game back to 1.5 and download Scarab, it may work better. Although it won't have mods like randomizer if that's what you're looking for

That is just a thing that happens. It's a vanilla bug, that is more common with mods because they use additional system resources.

You can help reduce it by turning your graphics settings down (like disabling particles).
Other than that, you just have to restart the game if you want them back.

I'm honestly not too familiar with the process, but I believe the simplest way is to literally just take the Knight.png sprite sheet and draw over top of it, and I think there's also a method using sprite packer which can be found in #modding-discussion pins, which I think shows where things will start overflowing into other textures with a red box.

Mod common isn't a usable mod, it just makes other mods work. What exactly do you need?

i dont remember how it woked. But i need to lower my damage because I was playing with it a couple months ago and I left it like that. And now when i redownloaded the game my damage was super high

Okay so first close the old mod installer and delete it

You don't need that anymore, unless you're wanting to play Randomiser

Next, right click hollow knight in Steam -> properties -> local files -> verify integrity of game files

It should come up with a message, click okay, then open HK. Make sure it runs okay.

u have to choose which mod installer u want to use

if u dont yet have one installed
