Okay I have an issue too, but I don't know the specifics, I've been using scarab for awhile, I just updated to the latest version, and QoL breaks my game. It doesn't say it's out of date, but prevents pausing, the mods from showing up in the top left, and permanently freezes godseeker mode.

And a couple other things :|

hello, this is my first time modding hollow knight and I have some troubles , I tried the custom knight mod, but for some reason it doesn't show the skins when I hit escape in the game. I have put the skin folders here: I'm not sure if I did something wrong. I would really appreciate if somebody could tell me.

Show the skins? To swap skins you go to options, mods, customknight, and click the current skin until the name of the skin you want shows up and apply

I don't know if thats what you're doing or not

If so make sure your skin folders have all the right files and lead directly to those pngs, and not another folder or something. You should have at least knight.png and sprint.png, mod detailed ones like Pink_Bow have VS, Hud, Voidspells, Wraiths, Hatchings, etc.

The only way you can do this would be

1. Modifying your charm costs in your save file
2. Well 1 but with different steps
3. 2 but with different steps

I’ll list ways to do 1 from easiest to hardest

1. Use 1.5 MoreSaves mod to edit your save (has in game save editing, not sure if it supports charms yet though)
2. Use the Qol mod (creates decrypted versions of your save files that the game temporary loads instead of the originals that you can modify)
3. Use a online save editor (upload save file, edit text, download)

Btw if you need to get a charm id (probably will for this) look at the pinned messages for a image of charms with numbers on them

If you're playing Current Patch, then there's only one installer.
If you're playing 1.4.3.2 (only useful for using mods that haven't come out for 1.5 yet, like Rando), then either one is equal. Mod Installer 2 is most Scarab-Like, and seems to have overall less issues for people though.

Hello, whenever i try to open up my hollow knight game, it brings up a loading bar, then when that bar is complete it crashes. (i am using the steam version).

my friend is healing wayy faster than normal after using some mods from scarab current patch (hollowpoint in specific). he has uninstalled and reinstalled the game and the old saves still heal super fast even with no mods enabled

Well first, I'd suggest actually playing the game before you try with mods, although there are some things where it would be cool to play with on a first playthrough. Second, making skins can be done in a couple ways, which I'm not too familiar with, one is just drawing over the sprite sheet, and the other is using Sprite Packer.

You could also try unmodding to see if mods are causing the issue, and adding them back one by one until you find the problem mod

With randomizer 3, on 1.4.3.2 with Mod Installer 1, Randomizer even though enabled does not seem to be open, is this me missing a keybind, or is this a glitch?

No, the menu does not show up. On the top left of the menu screen nothing shows up, the game opens of course, but I am unable to locate the randomizer menu

Have them navigate to the path, and make a copy of the User#.dat file (where the # is a number representing save slot position, 1 being top, 4 being bottom.) and send it to you, then you place it in the same place

Yep, if you stick with the installer and the pins of this server, it's all perfectly safe. Try and avoid just searching for mods online though, places like nexus mods are outdated and may not be safe
