Then you should probably just reinstall and resetup your multiple instances

Saves aren't stored in those folders.
They are all stored in the appdata folder.

Usually, you can only open a save in a version of hollowknight that is newer than the save itself.

And as for the save file, if it's not in with your other saves, and you backed up the User#_(version numbers).dat file, instead of the User#.dat file, it may be lost

You can test them all just make a copy of a user1 file, v then rename the copy user1.dat, then launch Hollow Knight in the 1.5 version (not the 1221 one).

Open the file and see if it's right.
If not, delete the user1.dat file and try the next

i wouldnt really call this modding help but at the same time this channel seems to be fitting the most.
so a while ago I had problems with input delays on older versions of the game (modded every time, the only mod in common I had was debug mod tho), did some testing and it feels like that the game is just way smother on the public beta and I also cant notice any input delays on that. Downpatching it, even just using 1.4.3.2, seems to cause some minor but significant input delays which I dont quite understand, its just super annoying to play with and maybe its just always been that way and Im spoiled, might also be mods or something, but it really does feel like the game has a little more delay on inputs and its also quite noticable in my gameplay, if anyone else also noticed something similar and maybe also found a solution for it, i would really appreciate some help.

When I try to make a multiworld randomizer, it doesn't work. It just laags for a second and then the Multiworld option stays as "NO". Is the multiworld just incompatible with this version of Randomizer and if yes, which randomizer version is the most recent working one for multiworld?

Get QoL mod.
Open the save you want to edit.
Close your game.
Go to your saves folder.
Open UserN.json (where N is the save file slot for the file you want to edit, top being 1, bottom 4).
Search the file for compass and you'll see a notch cost nearby.
Change it to zero, save, close.
Open your game and it should cost 0 now.

there is a glitcj in my game that makes me only heal twice even wiht full soul, if i have 1 third or even 2 thirds i can heal only once so the only way to use the last third is gettong more souls so i have more than a third o having less than two thirds, i have tried restarting the game i have also tried on a new savefile ( so it isn't a savefile issue) and reinstalling the game but it is still there, i have already tested fixing the savefile too but the issue persist, someone said it is the lag but my game runs smooth

hi, another thing, i unzipped the file, moved it out of downloads, told firewall its okay to run, and tried to click it to open but it just wont open. like at all. theres no message of anything, i just click and it does nothing. can you tell me what to do?

I don't have a tonne of experience with Macs, so I can only give general advice

#

The other option is to downpatch to 1.4.3.2 (third pinned message) and then try mod installer 2 instead.

Just for confirmation. Can the effect of the Charm Overhaul mod be reversed by disabling the mod in the installer, or would other actions be required? I've been asking this question for a while, but I haven't gotten any answers.
