Mods only affect saves that you open. You can simply not open the save file and it won't be affected

QoL and Custom Knight don't make any permanent changes to your save files, though

That's what my last message was saying; you can use those on an existing save and you will be fine.

Each mod acts differently though, so for example you don't want to open an existing save with Hollow Point installed.

Daughter of Hallownest is set up differently to the other skins.

You will need to click through the various folders in the file you download and look for just the skin file. You can then put that into your custom Knight folder.

That is bingo UI. The actual bingo board isn't a mod, it's a tool on a website that they have overlayed onto the stream

(Though I think somebody had a version that would display in game in the works, but I don't know if anything came of it)

Anyone else having the problem of Scarab not recognizing what mods are disabled? When I disable a mod and restart Scarab, it shows up as Enabled again although the mod is moved to Mods/Disabled/. Hitting the checkbox crashs Scarab, as it can't find the mod folder in Mods/. After moving the mod out of Disabled/, I can disable it again through Scarab.

hi, could need help here. using scarab, installer opens and instantly closes again. no error message or something

the other installer for version 1.4. doesnt work, downgraded HK to that version, opened the installer and it only said: Failed Connection

a different installer i found at least opened but it couldnt install any mods, after closing it i could not restart the installer and had to delete everything

maybe a problem with F-Secure or something?

This all sounds like an internet connection issue. Move your installer to your desktop and try that. If not, check your firewall settings etc

it only works when I select "unlock all" on the settings, but this way it's not fair as this is my first playthrough. I just wanted to be able to fast travel to benches I've unlocked

and I can hardly recall the names of those I've unlocked

i highly recommend playing through the game without any mods first

therefore you will begin to learn all the bench names and locations

I'm not the type of person who does multiple playthroughs so I wanted to make my 1st (and single) run a little more convenient

If it's still slow it will likely be your computer isn't able to handle it

You can use Steam's "forced controller" settings.
Other than that, check the speedrun server for more tips with the older patches, because a lot of controller support was added in 1.4 iirc

You can all try restarting your games.

If they are father away from everyone else though, then it may be a consequence of lag. If it comes back after everyone restarts, then they may need to just disconnect and reconnect wherever it happens. You won't see the change until transitioning rooms though iirc

Hi I need some help any mod install now fails to load if I install it before it works but anything new doesn't work
I've tried to Uninstall and reinstall but it still doesn't work

I saw there were new randomizer settings like randomizing swim and starting with 1 mask but when i try to make a new safe file with randomizer on these options do not show up. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Delete the mod installer and then go into steam, hollow knight properties, browse files, check the path at the top, reinstall mod installer and see if it matches the one at the top in your hollow knight files(Not sure if I explained well)

when entering the game it tells me that debugmod is installed, but I press f1 and it doesn't work.

You can use Steam's "Verify Integrity" to go back to vanilla.
It won't remove your mods, just the file that makes them work.

Opening Mod Installer will automatically enable them again after that

Debug has buttons when you pause (F1 toggles them).

Benchwarp let's you warp to any bench, of you need to Warp away. (You'll need to look at the settings, and enable "all benches")

Look and see if you're keyboard has a FN key. If it does, press and hold that, then press F1

the problem is that it worked for me, but after installing a hornet skin It stopped doing it.

That aside, if it doesn't come up, then you may want to try deleting your global settings file for it.

• So close Hollow Knight
• go to your saves folder
• look for two files that are something like "debug globalSettings" and delete them
• reopen hollow knight and test

Hey I have a doubt, all mods from the mod installer work just fine, but I installed the Any Rad mod and it doesn't quite work, sometimes the wall of light is indeed doubled but the rest of the fight seems to stay the same (both the name of the boss and the "Ok." message at the end appear as intended)

When I launch the HK modinstaller, it says that it can't detect my Hollow Knight installation. I tried to select the HK file, but it didnt appear, and then I tried to put the Hollow Knight installation into a file and named it "Hollow Knight" but that didnt work. It said "Invalid hollow knight path. Select the folder containing." What do I do? I am on Windows 10.
