is anyone else getting crashes on Inferno King Grimm's big bullet hell attacks?

in phases 2 and 3 he has a bullet hell attack with big bullets, in p2 it's a homing attack and in p3 it's a fullscreen static-ish attack

both of those attacks can randomly make my game crash

at first i thought it was something to do with the shade cloak dash during the attack, but i dodge the p3 attack just by moving left and right

in p2 it's almost always when shade cloaking but it can happen outside of that too

haven't really seen any posts with anyone else with this problem and i'm not sure what's causing it

i guess i could try disabling the color shader and seeing if that helps

Ok, so something is off about the application I got. I just checked with someone else and the file name is different. It says "ModInstaller-9-8-7-1-1616501438". I got it from nexus mods, maybe that is useful information.

Okay, well do a couple things, first. downpatch the game (check the pins), second make sure your installer is on your desktop and ran as administrator. Third, path it there manually, to find the file path go to the steam library > right click HK > select properties > local files > browse >check the file pathing

for some reason whenever I download the modding api and modcommon, my hollow knight just breaks. I can open it but none of my saves ever load and if I click on the mods settings in options it is a blank page with a bugged back button that doesnt allow me to go back, I should note that everytime I have downloaded the api I also download custom knight (I want to play with custom skins)

What you needa do is:
First, open the folder you downloaded and all the folders inside it till you find a couple Assembly-Csharp dll files, then set that aside.
Second, right click on the hollow_knight.app and select "Show package contents"
Third, navigate down this path and be sure it's this path as the mac pathing is strange \Hollow Knight\hollow_knight.app/Contents\Resources\Data\Managed\
Fourth, place earlier Assembly-CSharp files, and the "Mods" folder, into the Managed folder, replacing any existing ones

apparently if you don't remove the drm and try to launch a modded copy that you have separate from the one in your steam library, it decides to just launch the copy in your steam game folder anyways... (I assume it's DRM)

Ok, so I was trying some mods out, then I opened the mod installer from my taskbar, it glitched and opened up a large tab, all grey, with small text in the corner saying managed, and that's it.
