Probably to provide a barrier to performing save file editing. Obviously this doesn't completely prevent save file editing, you literally can't prevent that completely, though in theory you could make it difficult enough no one but the most dedicated would bother. As it stands, since there are third party tools to get around this, as long as one googles Hollow Knight save file editing, they can get around the encryption, though obviously the devs made this more difficult for a reason, since you can just make yourself invincible and give yourself all charms, infinite notches, change progression triggers, give yourself all abilities from the start, etc...

hey i play randomizer for a moment but when i move my mouse cursor out of hollow knight i sometimes accidentally click on my second screen and it minimise the game and i died many times in boss fight cause of that

Since you're using randomizer you have qol installed, which has a feature you can enable to lock the cursor within the game window. To enable it, you'll have to navigate to your save files and edit the qol.globalsettings file

After you've done that you'll be downloading the mod installer again.

This time put it on your desktop instead of anywhere else. When you run it it will ask "is your hollow knight in its default location" and you'll need to pick no

#

Then it will come up with a file explorer. You need to direct it to the folder named "hollow knight" (NOT hollow_knight_data). When you think you've done that, simply highlight it and send a screenshot here.

#

If you're not confident with computers etc it's probably best that you get somebody to check you've selected the correct folder first.
