Quick question to all the people that understand hollow knight mods. I had to delete and reinstall the mod installer because not all mods I enable were being appearing in hollow knight. One of them being the QoL mod. Now when I choose the installation path the same as I did previously It says it is invalid. Could someone help me out?

First, unzip the api, inside it there should be a folder called hollow_knight_Data, and inside there should be a folder called Managed, move the folder to the side and head to the steam library, from there right click HK > select properties > select Local files > click browse. This'll open a folder containing the hollow_knight.app right click the app and select "Show package contents", then navigate down this path: \hollow_knight.app/Contents\Resources\Data\Managed\. Then move the contents of the earlier managed folder (should be a couple "Assembly-csharp" dlls) and replace the existing ones

  1. Reset the mod installer.
  2. Deleted the mods folder.
  3. Made sure the mod installer was on your desktop.
  4. Made sure your game is on patch 1432.
  5. Ran the mod installer as admin.

If you did all of that and it didn't work, delete the installer, including the bit in appdata, delete your mods folder, and try using mod installer 2 from the pins instead.

I TRIED using the modding API, but that was afterwards. I installed vanilla, read about mods, found out about 1.4.3.2. Patched to 1.4.3.2. Launched vanilla to make sure I had necessary files created before modding. Won't boot. Tried modding API to see if it helped, nothing. Uninstalled, reinstalled, launched 1.5. Works. Patched to 1.4.3.2, still doesn't launch. No mods installed. Verified integrity, uninstalled, reinstalled AGAIN, patched to 1.4.3.2, no mods, won't launch.

There's times where it says "blah recommends installing blah blah, too. Install both?" and I always click yes.
SFcore, Weavercore, and Vasi were installed by default already at the beginning. serecore is one of the ones that has an error.

Okay. After everything is said and done, the ones that fail are:
BeansDefender, Howwow Knyight, Inferno King Grim, Lifeblood Master, Lightbringer, Lost Lord, Lunatic Radiance, Mantis Gods, ModConsole, MoreSaves, Randomizer 2 (Old), Randomizer 3 (Item or Room), Royal Dreamer.
Everything else installs fine. I have everything disabled to prevent conflicts, except default enabled ones (Serecore, SFCore, Vasi, WeaverCore)
I don't expect anyone to spend their time getting everything to work for me, but is there perhaps something big I need to do to get most/all of these to work?

Depends what you’re looking for, my usual list of suggestions is: CustomKnight and enemy hp bars for a more vanilla feel, hollow point or light bringer if you want a complete mix up of gameplay elements, and randomizer is pretty great
