You need to downgrade to a previous version, if you're on steam you can right click the game and opt into the beta for version 1.4.3.2

Idk whats causing it, but I've been occasionally getting this weird glitch where half my controls stop working. Like, I can still walk, dash, and attack with the nail, but I can't pause the game or use the dream nail or focus/cast spells. And this happened at the same time. Restarting the game fixed it but I'm curious if anyone else has had this issue

Well, make sure whoever isn't hosting doesn't have the server mod. Then just try restarting the game several times. Or if you want to completely avoid this issue for more work you can use the more stable multiplayer mod called Hollow Knight Multiplayer or HKMP. I think it's a 1.5 problem-- but whatever causes it seems to permanently affect the file.

Well, before we get too far into troubleshooting, I should recommend that you use a different multiplayer mod that's not on the installer as it's more stable, easier to use, and has extra features. Hey, I'm having a weird issue that keeps popping up with hk mod installer. I've downpatched my game to 1.4.3.2 and have verified my game cache etc.

but if I double click on the mod installer... literally nothing happens. it looks like it tries to open because a window flashes up for a split second but it looks like it closes itself by default or something

If you wanna make sure you're in the right one go to your steam library > right click HK > properties > local files > browse > and then check the file pathing. Then afterwards on the installer click "Change default install path" and path it to that folder, it should end in the hollow knight fiolder with the hollow knight data folder and the hollow knight application

I believe that that's just a thing with the sprite drive, the ones in the white palace sprite drive will let you preview plus there's a tab to see images of some of em in the white palace one. If you wanna see the ones in the regular sprite drive, you can try looking up a video of them or you can download the folder and look at it then delete it if you don't like it

Download randomizer 3 from the installer, it has a bunch of dependencies so it may take a bit, then just launch the game (check the top left that rando is there and no mods failed to load). and then create a new save

If you actually got it from GoG, then you should be able to use the GoG Galaxy launcher

GoG makes you have an account to redeem a game

so if you used some random website that claimed to be selling you the GoG version, then yes, you were scammed.

Once you download the ModdingApi, extract it, then find any .dll files in the extracted folders. Copy all of them. Now you need to navigate to your game files path, go into the hollow_knight_Data folder, then into the Managed folder. Paste the files here. For other mods, create a Mods folder in the Managed folder and put mod .dll files in there

CustomKnight also requires the modcommon mod to be installed

I can't remember the dependencies for hollowpoint, I feel like the most likely explanation is customknight, you could try uninstalling it, or if it works well enough without it you could try playing without the adrenaline bar, the only other thing I can think is maybe change your resolution to 1920 x 1080 if it isnt already. And as for your soul meter the only thing I can think is maybe editing the focusmp amount back to 0 (i think that's what it is for hollow point)

heyo, my friend and I are trying to do multiplayer together, but it seems to be not working

I have his ip and port down but nothing happens when i attempt to connect to him

Nothing is appearing when I try to connect up here either

Are you on the same network? If not: he had to port forward. Maybe using something like hamachi. Also, please don’t tell me his ip starts with 127

He did port forward using his router (apparently he refuses to download hamachi on principle) and gave me his public ip

I port forwarded using my router, I gave @kindred onyx my public ip addess, the one you get by googling what's my ip, we type in the top right, and nothing appears to be working, he doesn't have the server mod enabled just me, the readme's aren't very helpful...

For both mods, you need to make sure that you forwarded both TCP and UDP. A lot of routers default to just TCP iirc
