I downloaded it like a year ago its just a mod manager, normally it shows a list of every mod and u need 1.14 to run them but now all i get is the installer loading opening then closing the window immediately after

also I'm fairly certain it is the one everyone either uses or used

does anyone know if steel soul mode works on version that aren't the live version of hollow knight? i reverted to 1.4.3.2 because i installed mods and it won't let me start a steel soul save (i went into my old save and beat hollow knight again too)

also another question, does anyone know if there are known issues with steam controller and the current version of HK? my steam controller works fine on 1.4.3.2 but when im on the current version neither dash nor crystal dash works (right and left triggers respectively)

(sorry if these questions should go somewhere else, the problems only started after i installed mods and reverted to 1.4.3.2)

You should definitely be able to play steel soul on 1432. You may have a mod preventing you from doing so

I have seen people say that On current patch they have picked up dash, have cloak in their inventory, and it simply won't work. I think they fixed it simply by restarting, but this was back when the patch first came out and I've not heard of it since

First, make sure your modinstaller is on your desktop and that when you do run it you run it as administrator. Second, reset your modinstaller using the message linked below. Third, make sure when the installer asks you that you give it the correct file path, it should stop in the Hollow Knight folder with the hollow_knight application in it. The path should be something like (For windows and Steam) C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\Common\Hollow Knight\

Hi all! Does anyone know why dnSpy sometimes makes the HK exe crash when initializing? I made some changes to CameraTarget and the game doesn't open anymore. I reviewed the code and didn't spot any issues... fine. I have backup of the previous version (with which the game opened just fine). I copy-paste the code of the previous version, save it, when I open the game... it crashes again.

Uhh, well the modding API doesn't really do that much on it's own. Hollow Point uses a different method of healing so it's possible if you wanted to make a mod or somethin. If your goal is to just make soul not heal you then you can probably just set your focus amount to 100 or somethin

Usually the issue is because the Multiplayer mod on Mod Installer stops working if either player has a hiccup in internet connection (such as being on Wifi).
You may want to change to using HKMP (https://github.com/Extremelyd1/HKMP) which is far more stable, and is actively being updated.

Sometimes skins don't change correctly if you change them with a lot of other stuff going on. Changing skins in a small room (like a stag station) pretty much always works though if that's the issue.
