You need to manually install the Unix API:

To do that, just drag and drop the hollow_knight_Data folder in the zip, into the Hollow Knight install path by default, it's ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/steamapps/common/Hollow Knight/hollow_knight.app/,
then Right-click hollow_knight.app, and select "show contents", then navigate to: contents ᐅ resources ᐅ data. It should overwrite some files.

Note: Do this all with HK and Mod Installer CLOSED, and make sure that you've already set Hollow Knight to patch 1.4.3.2

All mods are .dlls; that's what the mod files are.

There are some others, but again, 1.5 mods aren't considered in a "release" state at all.

On modinstaller 1 it should just be an option at the bottom, for modinstaller 2 I don't think there is but you can reset your installer. If the installer is stuck telling you it's looking in the wrong place resetting the installer should also work

Also, if anything says "failed to load" then it's not only not loaded, but your mods may not work correctly while you have it.
Uuwuu is currently broken iirc (or rather, FrogCore is donked up? something like that) so you should remove that too.

Check the pins for Multiplayer Procedures. Pretty much all advice for it is there. If something doesn't work after following the steps, then each player may need to restart their games

You may want to look into switching to HKMP though, which is a different multiplayer mod, that's not currently on the installer

It's a lot simpler to use, and is less buggy overall

If you have a really old computer, then it's possible that it just won't work. You might want to make sure that it loads without the mods installed, and then try it with ModCommon alone, and then with CK

Hi Im currently trying to install the mod installer but as soon as i select the file location for my game folder it tell mes to update to the current stable patch. I run through steam so as far as I know im on the most current. Any ideas that may help? Im reinstalling quick to see if thatll work

it is effort but you can, if you manually install mapi & mods.
you do need to be on 1.4.3.2 or use developer versions of 1.5 mods
