The modding api is already updated to 1.5 but it's mostly for mod devs to use. The modinstaller and most mods aren't updated yet

I don't really think it would. Cuz 1.5 patch didn't change all that much, really just small bug patches. As long as the api didn't make any major changes to the calls they should hypothetically work

Make sure only you have the "Multiplayer Server" mod, but you should both have the "Multiplayer Client" mod, also make sure that you connect to your server before they do. And "i also have hamachi" does this mean you both have hamachi or just you?

I think there may be a mod to take cinematic wide shots without the knight in them but I'm not sure what the mod is, I don't think there's one that lets you load multiple rooms at once and record them all though, so perhaps they just pieced together mutliple videos

I don't think there's something like that, perhaps you could using something like dream shield co-op (where one player controls a dreamshield ) combined with parsec or just use parsec to let them control your mouse and keyboard/controller, not sure if that works tho. Alternatively you could try using Steam Family Sharing to let them play the vanilla game to see if they enjoy it, and you can just watch them stream it or something. Though with family share they will need to log in to your account on their pc

I mean, can you use parsec to let them play vanilla HK through your pc? I'm not too fmailiar with the program but I thought it'd just let your friend have controller/keyboard and mouse on your pc even in games. If it does work you can probably use the Dreamshield Co-op to do a sort of local co-op where you play as a dreamshield projectile and your friend plays the game

I’m not too sure, it probably has to do with the “Inbound traffic blocked, check firewall settings” part, which is probably, like the message suggests, a firewall problem or, and I’m not to sure if this could be a cause, but are they maybe on an internet with restrictions like a school wifi or something? Also I doubt it’ll help but maybe they can try running as administrator?

@jolly oracle Okay Sanic is the right mod, once you install it you need to navigate to your save files and edit the Sanic.GlobalSettings.JSON file, simply change the "Speed Multiplier" from 1.3 to 0.5 (for half speed) or whatever suits you, anything under 1 is slow motion

#

Also warning, it slows down your menu speed so you better be where you want or atleast set up a dreamgate there before you start otherwise it might be annoying

i downpatched hk and downloaded randomizer mod but now i am noticing a lot of input lag. is there a way to fix this or is my pc just not good enough to run the mods well

also, its not just input lag but my controlls will bug and i will either randomly do a max-distance jump or continue running in a direction after i stopped holding the button

i only have the randomizer 3 mod from the modinstaller and all the mods necissary for it (moddingapi, cerecore, benchwarp, QoL, and RandomizerMod). i have these problems even on my main save now that i downloaded the mods. i have all video setting on low and vsync turned off.

I've got no clue then, it seems like it's probably your computer not being strong enough. Are you on controller? If so maybe try using keyboard and mouse and seeing if it has the same problem, it probably will just wondering.

If you're on steam, your can try the controller input settings (like Force Xbox controller). It might help, or it might not, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Make sure you have Mod Common,
Then in the main menu go to Options > Mods, then turn off Enemy Rando, then turn it back on.
Then close Hollow Knight.
Then restart it, and there should be a big Randomize Enemies button.

Not sure why this is, but I changed the settings from pro controller inputs to xbox one controller inputs and it fixed it, even though I'm on a pro controller. thanks for the help

Are you running Mod Installer from desktop? (you may also need to be running it as Administrator)

For some reason, some people have that issue. You should be able to get around it by just choosing to Uninstall the mod instead
If that doesn't work, then you can go to the /Mods folder and manually delete them.
IIRC, it most often happens because of the Disabled folder not being created when it was supposed to be. You can manually add it to the mods folder if you want to use Disable.

I believe that's because you have the skin filder inside another folder

It's like when you extract a file to a new folder named the same as the zip file so you end up with the extracted file into another folder

Check with #speedrunning probably. Iirc Switch controllers weren't originally supported, but idk the recommended work around, other than using something like Joy2Key

Skins are not on Mod Installer. CustomKnight is, but skins are not. There are two GDrives in the pins with skin uploads though, and some artists link them on their showcase videos

It does occur to me, that since the link is to a regular docs doc, instead of a published one, that people can use the "Outlines" feature to use a built-in table of contents. I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to link the doc so that it's already open. I fear that I'm too sleepy to actually learn anything though lol

Has anyone here had trouble with the Hollow Point mod? Just trying out modding, can't tell if the mod is broken or if I did something wrong :/

More specifically, I believe you're supposed to start with an assault rifle of some sorts, but in kings's pass I have a slow shotgun which doesn't seem to do damage to anything and takes ~10 seconds between shots

If you delete the mod installer, delete that folder, then go to steam, right click, properties, then find verify integrity of game files

That will entirely remove all mods.

This mod doesnt work on a new save, To fix this you must first create the new save, quit to main menu, and load the save again. This will then make the mod work as intended, this applies to both Regular and Godmaster new saves.
This mod DOES work with Randomizer but be wary of the same issues above, you first need create a Rando save with Hollow Point DISABLED, quit the game, ENABLE Hollow Point, start the game (with both Rando and Hollow Point enabled) and you can now load the Rando save with Hollow Point completely working. (Otherwise, creating a new Rando save with Hollow Point enabled tends to crash the game)

That is not what they were asking. Raven, you cant use the modinstaller for those kind of patches, you have to manually install the mods, also, you cant just use any version of the mod, you have to find the version of the mod that specifically was made for that patch, oh yeah, and, you ofcourse also have to find the correct modding api. Does that even exist for 1.0.0.6, I honestly have no idea
