I am testing around with enemy randomizer right now. I am not sure how the room mode works. It doesn't seem to matter if it is on or off. Enemies are the same on reentering a room. Shouldn't on mean random enemy each time I enter?

If you're using the multiplayer mod that's on the installer, then check the pins 📌 for the Multiplayer troubleshooting message.

Hello, I trying to switch to the new mod installer, but when I boot up the game none of the mods are actually loading.
I've double-checked the path, and the mods are in the directory, but none of them are loading.

The main Mod Installer (Zote Icon) installs Modding API just by being opened. I'm honestly not sure in what way MI2 does it differently, so I'd honestly suggest just using the main one if you're having issues with 2

From here, you need to go to your game data location which people have described above. Just click through This PC -> C:// etc until you find it.

Once you have pointed it to the correct folder it will work. You can also go to Steam and right click and find "Browse local game files" to ensure that you have the right path for your Hollow Knight install.

when using ceirtain skins with customknight geo become invisible
and i figured that the skins that make geo invisible are the skins which dont have geo.png in them

So I tried out some different mods and had weird crap like desolate dive respawning and I deleted the mod I thought caused the issue (Randomizer). It worked for the dive but now the Seer is bugged as I only have 1300 essense and she is telling me its awoken however the only mind the "Awoken" nail can penetrate is the seers herself, any ideas, this happened on the file I've put all my time into, would hate to lose it...

You should NEVER open one of your savefiles with Randomizer mod enabled, this is what caused it, and except giving the Dream Nail yourself with debug mod, you can do nothing about it sadly

To make a backup You go to the corresponding save file location, you take userX.dat (Where X is the save file number) and you paste it somewhere else, but only if your file is not modified (like with Randomizer)

If you look in your save files you will have files called "user1.dat.bak" you can remove the ".bak" from them and make them into regular files and see if they are what you need

#

You could try to save edit. Download QoL mod, open your save file as normal, then go to your saves and you will find one called "user1.json". You can scroll through the options and see if any of them match your problem. Look for settings that have the word "seer" or perhaps "dream" and see if any of them sound like they would be your peoblem. If the seer thinks your at a certain amount of essence, there might be a setting for each individual level you visit her at which will now be set to "true".

Most mods don’t show up in that menu, refer to the top left of the title screen and pause menu for the real list

try this, in the save file change these values: "royalCharmState":3 "gotShadeCharm": false,
There's an example in the pins on how to fix hollow point. follow those steps to change the save file

i installed hollow knight on steam and loaded the game up. then i closed it and installer the modinstaller. i installed one mod and used it on hollow knight and it worked well, then i closed hollow knight and went to put on another mod, disabling the other mod, i loaded up hollow knight after installing the mod and it wasnt playing the music and only the sound of whatever was in the background was playing. then i went to start up a save and it wouldn't let me because it would only say loading. i waited for a good hour and a half and it still never loaded, so i thought "maybe if i restart my laptop it would be good." so i did that and to my supersize it was still doing that loading crap. so i closed hollow knight and went to go onto the mod installer. i opened it up and got a wonderful message saying, warning!

Unable to locate game files. Please make sure the game is installed and then try again.

so i go to 100% make sure it was installed and playable on steam and it was there all nice and shiny, ready to mod. then i close it and try it again over and over and im still doing it right now because im at a loss.
