Sorry, I have fixed it - uninstalled all dependencies and installed them one more time. The strange one was that Benchwarp mod was active, but at the same time inside of "Disabled" folder (and in mods folder too). Maybe that was a problem

How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

To manually install mods on 1.5.78.
🔹 Download the mod (it'll be either a dll file or a folder).
🔹 Go to your /Mods folder and create a folder with the name of the mod.
Note: You can use your installer to Open the Mods Folder

I just watched fireborns video where he tries to beat hollow knight with voice commands that do various things when he says a certain words and I thought it'd be fun for me to try in a voice call with some friends but I can't seem to find the mod. I've looked in scarab and checked the video description as well as a few quick google searches but I can't seem to find it and I thought I could see if anyone here knew how to get it.(If I should ask this question in another channel just point me where to go.) Edit: I realized I didn't try asking his discord so I deleted this but the I realized that he disabled typing in it so I'm reasking this question.

If you changed something without being sure what you did the easiest is probably to download the file again, if you just opened it without modifying anything/saving any modification you probably don't need to do anything

After installing, in order to actually use the mod
When the mod is correctly installed, you should see it at the top-left of your main menu, with the other mods you have installed.

If there is also some larger text that says "Load Enemy Randomizer", then press that button to randomize the enemies using the default settings (Note: you will need to wait a few minutes while this loads). If the button is not there, then go into Options > Mods, and Disable the mod, and then re-enable it. You will also need to close the game entirely, and re-open it.

Benchwarp allows you to Deploy a bench, which saves the game just like normal.
Debug allows you to use SaveStates / QuickSaves to save where you are and reload.
The vanilla game has Hall of Gods

🔹 Common issues

Make sure that you apply skins from the Pause Menu (Options > Mods > Custom Knight), when you have your save file loaded.
If you have White Boxes ◻️, restart your game. You may also need to try applying the skin in a small/empty room, like a stag station.

Hi, sorry for bothering.
My Game keeps crashing before starting after modding. I reinstalled it, used scarab to install only CustomKnight, so the issue probably is with this mod. I played modded before, but that was some time ago. Also, I recognised that for some reason two different Skins-Folders appear. One called "CustomKnight" and one called "Custom Knight". I'm on V. 1.4.3.2. Thanks in advance

After installing, in order to actually use the mod
When the mod is correctly installed, you should see it at the top-left of your main menu, with the other mods you have installed.

If there is also some larger text that says "Load Enemy Randomizer", then press that button to randomize the enemies using the default settings (Note: you will need to wait a few minutes while this loads). If the button is not there, then go into Options > Mods, and Disable the mod, and then re-enable it. You will also need to close the game entirely, and re-open it.

This is the part I am having problems with: You also can set up a predefined pack of abilites or changing their tag. For this, create a options_{FileSlot}.txt file (options_1.txt for example) in the loremaster folder of the game. A default option file in added to the package.

Assuming you mean the "Lore Page" it should automatically be granted in rando (There is a page in the inventory for that). If you found an item, which tells you that you have NOW access to it, it is a left over item, which I forgot to remove zote Initially it was intended to be unlockable but someone pointed out, that it could lock you out of progress, so I removed that. (Or at least granted the page automatically)

Hi, I asked for advice last night when scarab wasn't working. Whenever I opened it no text would appear and I would just have a blank grey window. I was told to move the folder out of downloads and it worked a couple times. The text appeared, but when I pressed confirm I got an error message. I have tried putting scarab in numerous different folders but none work. I no longer get the text as well. It's just a completely blank grey window. Does anyone know why this might be?

How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

You can delete your Benchwarp.GlobalSettings.json files on your saves folder. This might fix it. If not, then it may be due to you saving on a deployed bench in an "illegal" zone.

Not sure what to explain? Dream sequence areas are a special case in HK. By default, they are actually disabled from Bench Deploy, however the mod accidentally didn't disable Radiance and Pantheons, even though they are similarly "special".

With these special zones, you must enter them the correct way, and no other way.

This is a known issue, and Custom Knight is not considered compatible with HP.

Open the desired Save File, pause and Apply the skin in the Mods Menu.
Save and Quit, then close the game.
Re-enable Hollow Point.

Hmm, actually not an easy question, I’m pretty sure you can reduce/increase ennemi damage from debug mod, but to lower the health… I guess you could use the hp bar mod and thus know when he should be dead, or you could increase your nail damage to compensate for the health increase (also from debug)

Also also there is a mod to set bindings outside of pantheon, it’s probably on scarab (unless it is debug but I don’t think so)

Mods/Controller not working correctly on Steam Deck
Issue: Steam Deck installs the Windows version of HK, then runs it in proton. This would be fine except that you install Linux Scarab, which replaces the Assembly-Csharp with the Linux version, and then it doesn't like to work correctly on "Windows" anymore

Solution: Go to the HK Library page, select Properties -> Compatibility, check "Force the use of a specific steam play compatibility tool", and select "Steam Linux Runtime" (Note: not the sniper or soldier versions)

This will reinstall the Linux version of the game, and move some files around, so you'll need to select "Change Paths" in Scarab and change it to the new install path, then reinstall your mods. After this, everything should be working.

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that all 4 installer files have been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder. (Extract the 4 files to your desktop)

Having multiple Gun Class charms equipped can also break the gun.

This is a known issue, and Custom Knight is not considered compatible with HP.

After installing, in order to actually use the mod
When the mod is correctly installed, you should see it at the top-left of your main menu, with the other mods you have installed.

If there is also some larger text that says "Load Enemy Randomizer", then press that button to randomize the enemies using the default settings (Note: you will need to wait a few minutes while this loads). If the button is not there, then go into Options > Mods, and Disable the mod, and then re-enable it. You will also need to close the game entirely, and re-open it.

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that all 4 installer files have been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder. (Extract the 4 files to your desktop)
🔹 Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator".
