If you're going to use Hollow Twitch (the chat integration) you're already going to be in borderline unplayable territory, especially if you've never done it before, so I'd recommend not going overboard with other mods

Even completing a vanilla playthrough with Hollow Twitch can be borderline impossible depending on chat's mood, I'd suggest randomizer (if you're familiar with it), with maybe some of the Connections

Hey everyone, I finished Hollow Knight, and wanted to try my hand at speed running. So I installed the Scarab mod installer and through it, got the Debug mod. Which worked fine in the current patch.

However, I just downpatched the game to 1.2.2.1 through steam by going to properties and choosing the beta option. But now, using scarab is crashing the game. Does scarab not support the older version? If so, should I follow one of the older guides and use a different method? Any help regarding this would be great! Thank you! :)

scarab is only for 1.5. if you want to mod the 1.2.2.1 patch, you should join the speedrunning server, they can help you get set up

All of the hog bosses have the same kind of format, so you should be able to "max out" only one instance, then either find and replace or copy and paste

You gotta click the skin zip and wait till it turns into a folder

Then drag the folder into the skin place

How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

The charms happens when you have equipped a charm that “doesn’t exist” (aka you equipped a charm added by a mod, then took off the mod without unequipping that charm)

You can put on any charm mod really as long as it adds enough charms for you to be able to unequip the charm from that slot

Tbh somebody should add some stuff in SFCore for that because there could be bigger problems if somebody uses one mod, equips a custom charm, turns off that mod, then turns on a mod with charms they aren’t supposed to have yet and the player is able to have one of those equipped

This would have been answered many times I am sure but I checked the pinned messages and did all the steps to set a mutli rando (itemSync), but we kept having different hash even though we had the same settings code and seed number. We can't figure out why it won't match... does anyone know what to do?

I've down patched my Hollow knight game to 1.2.2.1, but I'm having trouble with certain inputs not registering. My attack doesn't work and assume other things wont work either but I haven't tested it out yet.
