How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that the installer has been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder.
🔹 Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator".

There's a pinned Google Sheet that has mods that aren't on Scarab. On there you can download the "Mp_" / Multiplayer Mods by fireb0rn. It has one or two mods that address that issue

Scarab is made for patch 1.5.78+
Modinstaller 1 & 2 are made for version 1.4.3.2
there aren't installers for other patches.

🔹 Something didn't install correctly

Ensure that the installer is not still in a .zip file, and that it's not in your Downloads folder.
Run the installer as Administrator

hollowpirate Your game is pirated / illegitimate.
Piracy is not supported in most communities for games. Mods are not considered compatible with pirated copies, and you will not get troubleshooting support in any of the main servers for them.

HK Modding is only supported on the official versions from Steam, GoG, or the Microsoft Store.

I remember dowloading HollowPoint in the past, but not now, and it's not in the list, so I just uninstalled my old 0.3.2 version, not the new 15.0.0.0.

It didn't manage to properly interact with old mods, except for HollowPoint apparently, but it still moved them to the new location.

The MoreHealing mod doesn't work correctly. I figured out it was of HollowPoint, but I didn't even touch it because I wanted to do a "normal" playthrough. I think it is because Scarab somehow pulled up the old API files and tried to make them work, because the HollowPoint was detected as version 0.3.2.

Scarab is just an installer so you don't have to manually get the API & mods. But since you modded before, all that stuff is still there, and some mods effect things even after they're uninstalled.

Hollow Point doesn't work on new saves. Save and quit, then reload the save file.
Having multiple Gun Class charms equipped can also break the gun.

🔹 I disabled it and now healing doesn't work right

Hi I have an issue when using Scarab ? So I had to downpatch my game to insert a save file to play on a mod and go back to 1.5, and now I can't mod my game it seems ? Whenever I try to use Scarab and install a mod it says "Hollow Knight is open!" while my game isn't running nor it is in the task manager, what should I do ?

How to fix Installer Errors
🔹 Make sure Hollow Knight is CLOSED.
🔹 Make sure that the installer has been Extracted from the .zip and that the new folder isn't in your Downloads folder.
🔹 Right-click the installer file, and select "Run as Administrator".

How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

so I downloaded a few skin mods and for some reason the grimm knight skin is the only one that is working. Not really sure what could be causing this. But something I did notice when watching the modded guide video is that there was already a file in skins for the mod fireb0rn had downloaded and he had to replace the files. That didn't happen to me with any of the skins. Perhaps that could have been the issue though I do not know

So I got the void knight from ColetteMSLP's skins list, along with the other two. Also decided to reopen the game and void knight is suddenly working. Grimm is as well. And realizing the rainbow skin doesn't have any of the skin images visible itself it seems from opening the file itself. I need to go into knight and then there's files for every single animation. Going to guess this is causing the issue of it not working?. Apologies if this is considered spam for the 3+ images

As Dwarf said above and as shown in the custom knight tag, any extra folders will cause the skin to not work. Look at the folder structure for your working skin & make it look like that

I've never looked at Rainbow Knight, but those folders look like the ones used for creating a skin, as opposed to an actual skin.
It's possible that the author included both? In which case you'll need to find the folder that has just the normal skin files

How to use Scarab in Microsoft Store
🔹 First enter the Xbox app and move your mouse over Hollow Knight on the left bar.
🔹 Click the three points then click "Manage".
🔹 Go to the "Files" tab and select "Browse...".
🔹 Click Hollow Knight then Content, click the path bar and copy it.
🔸Run Scarab as admin and when it asks you for the path paste what copied before.

Alternate Method:
🔹 Click on your profile then "Settings"
🔹 Go to "General" tab and select "CHANGE FOLDER"
🔹 Look for a folder where you want to install the game (Preferably inside a folder in your desktop).
🔸 Copy the path bar, then run Scarab as Administrator and when it asks you for the path, paste what copied before.

Scarab path folder needs to have Hollow Knight_Data folder inside

You need to reset ckc. The guide to how to do that is pinned in modding discussion.
Ckc is known to be buggy and cant pack all the sheets custom knight can change anyway, so I recommend spritepacker if you're planning on making a full skin.

HKMP puts a copy of each player into each other players world. Enemies have separate health and can be in different places; items/abilities must be collected separately; breakable objects must be broken separately.
A player's attack will happen in each player's world, damaging any enemies/players it comes in contact with. A player is only hurt by the enemies in their own world.
