You might sometimes want to dodge an attack differently so the next attack can be dodged, like dodging the spike wall while staying on the ground with shade cloak instead of jumping and still using shade cloak||

You can try to find a way to get to the right of the city of tears. You can continue exploring the royal waterways (specifically on the right side) as you are doing right now. And you can just revisit older areas to get more upgrades and potentially also find new areas||

Also use UNBS and MoP that should be 9 charm notches if you have 11 that should be no problem as you also need grimmchild for him when he dashes at you with the flame trail you can pogo him! also there is a SMALL window to heal after each attack. ALSO USE SPELLS VERY USEFULL||

heals can be done while balls are being thrown and, once his distances are learned, while hes underground (he moves a fixed distance underground, so being able to see how far that is before it happens allows both that healing window and consistent dodges for the 'phase')
juggling does exist and does work but its difficult and serves as a crutch (ie pointless damage will be taken if its ever dropped) if you dont know how to do the fight without it

||tbh charm binding doesn't change a lot so I will just say this:
pogo the triple slash attack or use monarch wings to jump over it
pogo the dash attack
dash through the swords attack
when the swords are coming from the ground, use descending dark, so you don't have to think about positioning yourself in the right spot
the bombs attack, uh, just use vengeful spirit on him or you can try to heal, it works sometimes
for tentacles, you can try pogoing him to deal damage
