• ground pound i usually jump away and then shade dash through. i could see sharp shadow being an issue on this attack if you're too close by dashing into the boss or something, or maybe shooting past into the far shockwave depending on timing||

My advice for ||TL:
There are really only 2 attacks:

• the dash: you dash through him
• the jump: you literally just stand still and it won't hit you

Later on he gains a third attack, the shockwave, where you just dash through that one, or, if your dash is on cooldown, you can also dive or dash away to gain time.
He'll only do the disc attack at range, which you should never be, so don't worry about that one.
For the entire fight always try to stay close and keep attacking. Don't ever move far away from him. Imo don't try to heal at all.
Use spells on his jump attack if you want to, or dive if you feel comfortable. Vengeful spirit always works but don't get thrown off by it.
For charms I recommend strength, qslash, steady body. Then either twister or longnail.||

yeah you can definitely heal. Tho in my experience for struggling players that is more stressful and risky than actually helpful. The battle has a very strict rhythm that helps a lot when fighting him and running away breaks it and overall makes it more difficult imo.
