||when he does the spikes, you can dash towards him (if you have shade dash) and land a few hits. you can also use shade soul here
when slams to the ground, jump up and do ddark, besides that i dont usually use any spells
you CAN spam shriek when he does his pufferfish attack but usually i dont do that. just stay at the edge of the room and focus on dodging
also dream nail him at the start of the fight when he bows for free soul
dont bother hitting him when hes staggered, focus on healing. hes difficult to catch||

Shaman stone is great if you're gonna use spells (which you ideally should), twister or catcher are great in that case as well. Quick focus can be very nice since, even though you can technically heal all the time, it's sometimes a bit tricky to do so. ||

I think replacing quick slash is better as there are barley any opportunities to hit NKG so it's really allow you to get a lot more hits

well, no mod necessarily breaks something. Mods are generally just not as well made and always 100% compatible with the game. Usually you don't run into any issues but it can happen. Custom knight is one of the more stable mods I believe since it doesn't really change a lot about the game than sprites but I'd assume issues with those could happen because of it. Either way there is usually a fix if your game breaks. If you wanna be safe just play on a different file

well that depends on your ||spell|| usage. Generally ||shaman stone is one of the best charms in the game so if you use spells it's an awesome option. In my experience not many beginner players use a lot of spells on pv tho||

I was thinking about swapping out with ||quick focus|| because there’s quite a few ||stagger phases|| but i don’t know if it’s worth it, you can get ||two heals in which is a life saver but equally the attacks start up almost immediately after healing so it could just go down the drain||

you haven’t asked in #speedrunning yet so
to get consistent, you want to practice 2 things, getting the right height, and timing your ||cdash|| correctly. for the correct height, you want to be ||dashing along the acid sprite, since the hitbox is quite a bit lower than the sprite. when i’m charging my cdash, i like my eye to be a little bit above the line made by the acid||. you should practice the ||cdash|| on the wall above, so that you are able to lose minimal height.

BUT ||qga is really difficult and only saves 30-40 seconds depending on what patch you run compared to just going through deepnest via the hot spring||

|| use shaman stone to nuke them with abyss shriek. That can consistently do heaps of damage. Don’t bother healing much on hollow knight, do your best to keep a full soul bar. Use sharp shadow to dodge through attacks much easier. For the homing balls you can maneuver around by jumping ||

||for the platforms phase, don't chase her down, just stay in the middle and let her come to you (she always spawns on the bottom middle btw)

only heal during the phase change and after she fires her 3rd burst of lasers||

traitor lord isn't a hard boss per se but you will definitely die a lot the first time you fight him||

||here's my advice:

stay close to him constantly, so that if he jumps, he'll jump straight over your head and you can just focus on doing damage

he has two variants of the dash attack: a fast one where he immediately dashes and a slow one where he walks backwards and then dashes. either way, just shade dash through him

don't stray too far away, or he'll do an annoying attack where he throws two orange projectiles

mostly just give up on healing- there's one way to heal and that's by counting his attacks. he can only do two of the same attack in a row before he has to switch it up. so, if you see him do two dashes in a row, you know he's about to jump over you, so you can heal.

when he does a shockwave, just shade dash through it. after doing a shockwave, he'll "store" the ability to walk forwards randomly until he either uses it or dashes. when he has this stored, just stay a bit further away so he doesn't walk into you until you see him do the walk or he dashes (his jump may hit you if you don't dash under in this position, though||

most of all, you'll just need to practice a lot

and my #1 piece of advice which is a spoiler for a charm:

||if anyone recommends a charm called sharp shadow, don't use it. it's not very good but if you learn traitor lord with it, you'll struggle to shade dash properly without it until you put in a lot of effort to fix it. it'll make this one fight easier but it will make your life harder overall if you get used to it||
