Otherwise he is content doing shockwave from a distance
And you can hit the flaming barrels towards him for extra damage
Also can get in a 2 free hits after stagger and then a few more after he jumps to the centre to do his tantrum as he readies himself for that attack||

My general advice for the fight would be:
||- jump for every single attack. For some you then dash, for others you use wings or pogo, but it pretty much always starts with a jump.
