||is the lantern necessary for progression? i feel completely lost. i beat hornet for the first time a while ago, and when i was exploring again i found her again in fungal wastes, so i chased after her and she used her grapple to go across an acid lake. i tried to go after her but i couldnt jump as far or high so i went to explore fog canyon, but it had a bunch of black lasers i couldnt go through. i circled the whole map like 3 times but couldnt find anywhere else to go, and the guy that sells the map in fog canyon is blocked by a black laser. the only place i havent been to is stone sanctuary in greenpath but it was really dark so ive been saving up for a lantern, only buying the map and quill and skipping all the charms and stuff. i died once when i had 1200 gold and lost it all, and ive been farming it again but im only at 700. i want to eventually buy some charms that some guy was selling in crossroads (long nail or shaman stone i havent decided) but if i die again before getting lantern and lose all my geo it will be a pain to get it all back. is there anywhere else i can go? ||
