Hello, I hate asking for guidance but this time I am really lost. I just finished the game ||(made me cry a lil)|| And went to explore to tie all loose ends ||like quirrel|| But I am kinda out of ideas on what to do, the only thing I have to finish or explore is ||the trial of the fools (which I assume gives me a key and a piece of the mask im missing) and the Hunter's Journal|| but I see in the extras section something I haven't encountered yet, I also assume the ||gods thing is inside the golden thing in the junk pit but I think I have to finish the trial first.|| So my question is, should I focus my efforts on exploring or in finishing the ||trial||? Exploring so far has only earned me ||a few encounters with a weird mushroom man|| and a ||mind blown moment about the statue on top of the mountain||. Sorry for long text

||it may deal a little extra damage, but the negatives far outway the positive. It alters your shadow dash length, messing with your muscle memory/dash timing- (your regular dash still stays the same which really doesn't help.) The increased length also makes certain sections of the game just harder due to them being designed with the normal dash length in mind. Also, attacking with sharpshadow doesn't give you soul, and I don't think I need to explain why that isn't great. Also the amoutn of damage it does is just one nailswing, which really isn't a lot? A lot of the time you probably could have just swung twice and did double the damage plus gained soul. Yes dashmaster increases it to 1.5 damage but at that point you're using three notches, and there are many better three notch charms to use. Overall sharpshadow just teaches you to overely on your shadowdash, causing it to be unusable far more often making the boss attacks and whatnot just harder to dodge overall anyways. (also switching on/off the charm is made hardrer due to the dash length increase)||

sword slam: dash under him, the attack will go to where you were when it started. he may do a second slam shortly after, but never a third
hops/triple jump: dash away if you need to, then jump over the shockwave. you can also dash under him or dive
zoteling spawns:spawnkill them with your nail, use spells to snipe them if needed. kill them asap so theyre not a problem.
exploding zotelings: use dive if needed to dodge his next attack, or use vengeful spirit to clear out a line of zotelings.
how to heal
after his stagger, you can heal 1-2 times. healing twice is rng based on his next attack(either a hop or fall through the floor)
you can also heal during both zoteling summons
how to attack
when hes just jogging, keep a pattern of hitting him and dashing away
for his triple dash, you can hit him after avoiding a jump.
for his sword slam, you can hit him after dashing under him, or pogo him once after the attack ends(if youre not behind him)

But ||shaman stone is a pretty great pick, after that I’m really unsure, strength and heart are good, but they break which isn’t good, quick focus and shape of unn can both be useful, they let you get more heals in, but don’t trivialise the process
Besides that any soul based charm is good, as always (soul catcher, spell twister…)||

But really this fight is not charm dependent

It’s more so about learning the attacks… really really well
||As he basically doesn’t have any notion of position, or chaining attacks, it’s just a matter of being able to consistently dodge each of his attacks
Damaging him comes afterwards||
