||use narts as much as possible, mainly dash slash. You could use an offensive build when you feel like being consistent with the movement. Dodge when he throws his swords, attack when he makes his shield spin. You can use spells, but keep some soul for phase 2. Eventually, you can stay on walls and switch sides when Markoth approaches you. Although, you need to pay attention to the audio, some swords can spawn off-screen or at the bottom and top of the arena when you're on walls. If you hear one but can't see it, head to the nearest platform to be able to react to it||

First off, play it safe, ||nail arts|| are amazing at hitting him without putting yourself in danger, but that does mean that you can be attacking him constantly, as sometime, he will just be in a bad position for you to be able to hit him, second off, ||shriek should not be used, use shade soul instead, unless you see the perfect shriek opportunity you are likely to not hit the whole spell, maybe take damage in the process, so going for double hit shade souls is definitely more worth it, using that you can make the second phase really short
Thirdly health, in pantheons he only has 680 health, that is actually really small, phase two only has 340, that is 4 double hit shade souls, so the tldr is, as long as you have resources (either health or soul) the fight will be quick, as you can either trade health for damage and damage tank, or trade soul for 80 free damage, that said if either one of your resources gets low then it is a big problem
So the absolute 100% consistent strat to beat markoth is to get very good at soul tyrant, and using the 4 lifeblood you get at the bench right before, that way you can somewhat easily get into markoth with full soul and maybe more than your max health
And then you use something like heart to get even more resources and you simply beat the boss with sheer numbers ||

||Flame pillars: Walk slowly across the arena, upslash at nkg if you want to deal some damage||

||Dash uppercut: EITHER jump and pogo nkg as he dashes toward you OR dash away from nkg during his dash (so in the same direction as nkg's dash) and hit him before his does his uppercut||

||Dive dash: NKG pauses for a bit after touching the ground, before dashing, just pogo him while he does that or jump over him||

||Fire bats: NKG releases two sets of bats: two at the top and two at the bottom. Dashing between these worked for me, but if that doesn't work for you other people have different strategies||

||Cloak spines: Manuever between the spines, use dive/ddark if you can't dodge this||

||Pufferfish: Go to the edges of the arena, and do as short of a jump as possible and only jump when you need to, and "circle back" after you've successfuly cleared each fireball.||

||Great Slash and Dash Slash are your go tos, they do 2.5x the damage of your nail||

If you're dealing with a swarm of enemies you can't one shot normally, ||nart it||

If you're dealing with a boss which teleports every 5 seconds, ||nart it||

If you're more experienced and have good reaction time, you can use ||cyclone slash|| on bosses you can attack frequently. But I wouldn't reccomend it

||fc is hard. If he jumps backwards or stand still he will do the shockwave attack. This is scary, don't get hit by it. The only attack you should attack first phase is the jumpy one, you can get a ton of hits in here. What's also bad is you get like no soul during the fight, since only the getting knocked down actually gives soul. So when you knock it down, dream nail the head once, then hit to reset the stagger, dream nail once, hit again and do that another time. This gives you a ton of soul which is helpful for healing or spells. If you have leftover soul use it during the rampage meteor attack, also make sure to hit the meteors back at him during that as it does 1.5x nail damage iirc. This makes him really weak so you should only need a few hits before doing that again lol. Also at the end of the fight you can still dream nail the actual armour for more soul before markoth. Have fun||
