Hitting his armour will reset his stagger time but won't do damage to him, so dream nail him and hit his armor to keep him permanantely staggered. When you have full soul, feel free to hit him normally to get him out of the stagger and just spam him with spells (The reason you wanna use shaman stone) repeat untill you literally win with minimal effort.

Iv been practicing pure vessel so i can beat them in the pantheon, (still not there yet), but i pulled off the most “YEAHHHH” thing, im still on attuned, but he hit me down to 1 mask nearly straight away and i managed to finish off the rest of the fight without dying

Personal opinions on bosses:
Shade soul - Mostly usefull against bosses where i am far away and don't need to heal ( fchamp ) or can't heal ( watcher knights ) and stuff inbetween ( obblobbles and stuff ) Pretty good way to use soul i don't need
Ddark - semi situasional but holy fuck its amazing. Stuff like sisters of battle and other grounded bosses where i can use the iframes to not only be safer than shade dash but also deal some damage
Abyss shriek - mostly good for bosses above you like dream warriors that you need to jump to hit with the nail. ( not radiance bc the radiance will 99% of the time hit you and i need the soul for focus against absrad ) a LOT of damage but riskier than nail usually so mostly for easier bosses
