To expand on what sunny said, I'd split the game into the following skill areas (playing the game, things like tas are different):

• Godhome: pantheon, modded bosses and hall of gods.
• Speedrunning: Beating the game as fast as you can lol
• Speedkilling: Killing specific bosses or pantheons really quickly, it's a completely different skill but shared with both the previous
• Overworld: Knowledge about the world, it's dynamics and pathways. Mainly randomizer, races and bingo.
• Pvp: pvp with hkmp

I'm one of the best Godhome players in the world, I have hitless P5 and all of HoG Radiant nail 0 white spells all bindings except collector, and lots of other achievements. Also greyfire and quantum are exceptionally good on this.
Meanwhile I'm kinda mid in speedrunning, only tried any% and got a PB of 50 LP.
I'm kinda decent in overworld, like I have the knowledge but lack the skill. This is what choom is good at, he's a really good bingo player and got hitless any%
And I'm shit at pvp lol

i dont rely on MoP at all but i can definitely find bosses alot easier, unlike nmg where it makes like 5 bosses of the 42 feel nicer
