•Pogo skip to the Cornifer idol
<there is an idol in the room where Cornifier appears in peaks. Normally you need wings to reach it but you can also just pogo a background object and dash into the right wall and jump up>

you can delayed interaction the bench - nail and press up as you leave the boundary of the bench and if you can still see the rest prompt when you're far away from the bench you're good. Then don't press up again until you've collected dream nail and woken back up

If I remember correctly that gate will open up if you kill the elder baldur blocking the way to greenpath

but you should probably double check that since I'm not confident on that

(since if the gate doesn't open up, then you'll never be able to go back)

Hello guys, i'm trying to learn how to speedrun the game, but in the latest version i can't inventory drop, so i downgraded to the oldest version on steam (the grimmtroupe version 1.2.2.1) and there i can inventory drop. On the other side in this version i can't hit when i exit to the menu and re-enter the sava (i'm playing from keyboard and mouse, and the hit key is left button on the mouse), any suggestion on how to fix? (fix the button not working or any way to inventory drop on a later version)

on a later version you have like a 2 frame window to hit inventory where your momentum will carry you off the ledge

the reason you can't hit is because 1221 doesn't support binding your mouse to things

Join the pinned server and ask in tech support. It sounds like you have done everything right but make sure you call it steam_appid and that it is a txt file. If you called a txt file for steam_appid.txt then it won't work.

I did two casual speedruns last week. No glitches, no acid-skips, no benchsaving and leaving the game, current version, steel soul. One any% 1 nail upgrade, no double-jump, no upgraded spells, 24% and 1h24m. Nothing impressive but not too bad for a first one.
Also a 112% run and True Ending (P5, I had to do P4 twice because I got a bit too careless) in 9 hours. It was a bit leisurly and unoptimized.

I also am close to finishing P5 with all bindings. I beated Markoth with all bindings twice today, with AR I got all the way on the top yesterday but then I screwed up (usually I don't make a mistake in that stage) and I can beat Zote, Grim and Pure Vessel without any problem. I already mastered all the other bosses which come before Markoth. So now it is 'just' a matter of getting more consistent and doing it all in one run, Of course I already finished P1 to P4 with all bindings, no point in trying P5 before that.

I have to rant a bit about AR with all bindings, it is much too bullet-spongy. 2-3 minutes for just the first phase, then 3-5 minutes for the 2nd phase and a quick ending. That is the real challenge with AR with all bindings. Doing her hitless is easy compared to doing it with all bindings, keeping up that concentration for so long.

Yes, Absrad or whatever is too long, AR seems clear to me, the first letter of both parts, like NKG. It is not a bad boss, the ending of it is great. It just takes too long to get there, I tend to rush it and then I get hit just because I rush it.

It works better on older patches, I don't know if it works at all on the latest patches but it definitely works less good. I don't find it worth it to use an older version of the game (also more bugs and less features depending on how far back you go) but if you want the fastest time then you need to downpatch the game.

I know what you mean. Most people say that it is random. I have been curious if it is because one part of the ground is a tiny bit lower than the rest and you don't get the stagger when you stand on the lowest part when it falls but I can't test it consistently.

I assume that you use the pogo the squid trick to follow Hornet where you meet her first? That is quite easy to do, just get the squid up, get out of its way when it attacks you and get to the left and then jump on it. You can easily do this consistently with a little bit of practice.

Also if your on controller then doing fb skips by holding right on joystick tapping right on dpad then quickcast should be faster than just jusing stick because you won't go neutral.

Sry I'm trying to learn the start of any% all glitches, but after getting the bench storage from godseeker I can't really get the noclip consistently. Sometimes I get the slowfall for the great slash, but most of the times I just fall normally and have to restart. Am I messing up the timing for quitting out from godseeker or is there something else I'm missing. If there's anyone who can help, I'd be rly thankful.

Getting noclip there has different timing depending on your loads.
If you have long loads you might have to delay when selecting the game mode for the second file. This is to give enough time for the knight to actually spawn in on the bench in godhome before the second file overwrites it.
If you have fast loads then you may have to be faster when selecting the second file. If you see the knight on the godhome bench and it's head moves up before the second file overwrites it then that generally means you were too slow to get noclip.
