Mods are version specific. Going back to current is the same process as downpatching, or many people maintain multiple installs. Saves from new patches can break if opened on old patches, but you can back them up.

You can definitely jump way later than you do in most attempts
Also, are you holding any direction between fireballs?

ok so first you wanna make sure you're jumping as late as possible, on a lot of these you're jumping quite early.
you wanna make sure you're fireballing immediately after turning, often you're moving a fair way to the right before shooting the fireballs
and some of these you're turning around too early, you want to turn around at the apex of your jump or slightly after
your timing between the fireball casts is really good though 👍 it's easy to lose a lot of height between casts

time attack was usually referring to things like.... the game modes in racing games where you go for best time on a single track

You turnaround after the peak of your jump and fireball as soon as possible after the turnaround. For more fireballs just hold neutral and time them.
And then hold the way your going after the last fireball
Atleast that is the methoud for the Greenpath fb skipps
For queen station style fb skipps a little more complex. Mostly because instead of holding neutral you hold the way your going and do turnarounds for each fb. And you have to space them somewhat well..
