Some minor recommendations
||id advise doing taste of pharloom if you havent finished it. Or at least doing the couriers rasher portion. Having it done in act 2 is ideal tho.
Seeking out any portions of the map you feel you havent fully explored but know you can get to is useful.
You can have a max of 9 masks and a doubled silk spool by act 2. If you dont have all that, can still finish it in act 3 but i like the security of it :) (doubled silk spool equals 2 heals)
If you feel you could use more rosaries or shard bundles, a bit of farming at the top citadel hallway couldnt hurt. Those guys drop 55 a kill if you have thief pin. Just try to minimize damagw||

Need help with questline || Garmond and Zaza, I started a new savefile only to duel them but they don't show up above Whispering Vaults area, the only thing I did previously is meeting them at Choral Chambers on the 2 locations they can appear on, I know the quest is shrouded in a bit of mistery at the moment as googling it also gave me A LOT of diferent requirements and lots of people wondering the exact stesps to trigger the duel/losing it forever, any help will be apreciated thanks! ||

Just make sure you don't ||get 2 melodies, donate to songclave or start second sentinel||. That's what makes it locked

||wispfire lantern does like. 10 flat damage, it doesn’t scale, (needle 0 does 5 for reference). so it’s not good at this point in the game, but it shouldn’t matter enough if you just like it and want to use it.
traversal shouldn’t be rough though, if you’re in act 3 you’ve got all the abilities. maybe you’re just not using them to their fullest?||

Alright all, looking a bit of help / motivation. ||Not sure if I'm even close to finished, but I'm over 33 hours in and I'm into Act 2. ||
|| As my overall map shows, I've explored what feels like most of the map. The only areas I haven't really explored / can't confirm I'm finished are The Slab, most of which is completely locked off, and The Putrid Ducts which I have explored but never found a map for, so I'm not sure I "completed".||
||Otherwise I'm stuck behind multiple fights which feel far too difficult. I can't finish the High Halls Forum arena fight, as there are too many enemies and I just don't have the resources, damage and health to make it through.||
||Another encounter I can't finish is in The Whispering Vaults against Trobbio. He is far too evasive and deals way too much damage very quickly. Also the fact that most of the tools are completely ineffective against him doesn't help.||
||Last but not least I can't beat Groble (I don't remember if that's the right name) and the challenge gauntlet in Bilewater. The long runback through multiple screens of maggot water and potential chip damage just makes attempting this fight really frustrating.||
||I'm not sure if all / only a few of these fights are required, but I'm also starting to feel like I'm just done with the game, regardless of if I'm actually finished.||

for the arena, id recommend using ||tacks|| which you get from ||sinners road||, saving them for the last wave ofc, and ||parry|| skill, which youll get from going through ||the mist and beating the boss there||
as for ||trobbio||, id recommend js staying safe and attacking once/twice when its easy (stay above and pogo when he tornadoes) and upslash when hes flying
obv getting more masks and spools is also good
best of luck and u can always js farm shards and spam ||architects crest|| if you rly js want to get things over with

But this boss is hard walling me. ||I have 7 masks, 2 nail upgrades, cogflies, poison, tracks, multibinder, injector band. Alternated between wanderer, hunter, and reaper. I've been spamming the harpoon even.||. No matter what I do this boss is just impossible to defeat. Which is mad because everyone says it's their fave to fight/one they beat in a few tries/etc. But i'm finding it so much harder than everything else.

||I'd recommend carrying anything that gives you range like silk spear or preferably a ranged tool like straight pin/throwing ring/etc. Useful if she is setting up a heal and you arent in melee range

Beyond that, learning your chances to pogo her helps, and also finding safe spots between her needle strikes to get some hits in. Due to how fast and evasive she is, it is difficult to find the moments to catch her at all. But if yoi can learn how to pogo her attack where she swipes down at you twice and also when she charges at you while swiping wildly, it makes for extra chances at damage. Idk if it would help you to see someone else fighting her, but i did a run of it on witch crest that I uploaded just for my own satisfaction of the fight. Perhaps it might help you to catch openings that are hard to spot midfight. But it is a sloppy win to be sure xD||

Both. Diagnol down helps you control which way it goes, but pure down should pogo as well. If it is an angled pogo, pure down will prioritize which eay you are facing i think. It is a bit awkward on analog sticks so dpad/keyboard tends to offer more consistent control

If youre comfortable on ||hunter crest, routing in eva sometime after needolin is good for the damage focus boost. Can also pick up the spool fragment and even the mask shard/weaver relic depending on how you feel||
I tried to route in ||rosaries; craft metal, and min of 3 memory lockets so i could upgrade my chosen crest. Also fleas wish is a great time save since you skip most of greymoor with them (you can get 5 fleas pretty easily once you have dash) Tho if you decide to do last judge over the mist then you will need to make sure you still get the greymoor bell. If you route in fractured mask in hunters march you can wait till after drifters cloak to still get shakra at the arena. I thought she would not show up once u hit farfields but she still helps you then|| if this is for the 5h i mean

Grounded upswings are generally enoug to hit her. I prefer it cause it lets me control when i jump for dodging her needles and such.
Obviously her webbing is to be avoided at all costs. Id youre lucky she'll leave you spots on the ground as safe spots. Otherwise focus on first one then recover safely into second. Sometimes you csn safely land snd jump into a new safespot between webs||

the good part about these games being metroidvanias is that you don't have to make yourself hurt over something most of the time. the game has lots of paths to go through and really every playthrough is different. so if you can't beat a certain boss, the answer is usually just like, explore someplace else, you can try later.

the problem i have is when people are like, not exploring the map and saying like idk what to do

From my experience playing Silksong (and for the record I played Hollow Knight, way too much Terraria, Mega Man, etc) its very easy to find yourself between one of many painful directions.

Exhibit A: ||Greymoor.|| Try going this way. ||Bird arena! Ow.|| That way? ||Chapel of the Reaper- Why do those scissors guys burrow during that gauntlet!?|| Further in? ||Moorwing!|| Backtrack? ||Hunter's March!|| Or worse ||Deep Docks 2-maskers the Magma Bell can't save you from.||

You end up with a metaphorical face full of ash, and wondering which way is the best way to bash your head in ||Chapel of the Reaper in my case|| or if you're missing another way entirely. ||Me regretting spending that first Simple Key in the Deep Docks.||

usually when i see these types of stuff it's not like early game areas, like ||greymoor|| it's more like they have a lot of the map explored already, but there are a bunch of holes around everywhere. so it's really a matter of seeing where the holes in the map are and going to them.

That's not always so simple when said holes are often locked behind some stupid gauntlet. Or more dramatically ||a friend of mine tried getting to Bilewater, and ended up in the Mist. Whoops.||

the "village quest" thing is old misinformation. the actual requirement is simply doing a certain amount of quests (among other requirements but that is the quest-related requirement)
