Hey admins, I noticed I got banned for evading, but I’m really confused because I didn’t do anything. After checking, I found out my friend (who brings his laptop over to play Rust with me) got banned for cheats a couple of months ago. He told me he downloaded free cheats, got banned before even spawning in, and didn’t tell me because he was embarrassed. I believe I’m linked with him because he gamed in my house. This player was not banned because we did not find any evidence of cheating when we were investigating them. Of course it is possible that the player is toggling cheats, but we cannot simply ban somebody because they might be cheating. We operate on a "innocent until proven guilty" basis. I cannot speak for "all other servers", and I have no idea what evidence these servers might have, but we do not have sufficient evidence to issue a ban as this time.
I am sure you yourself would appreciate not getting banned simply because another player insists that you are cheating. Or maybe you would not mind getting banned without proper reason? If that is case, you must recognise that the way we operate differently and will not bend our principles and values to fit your views and opinions.

Well, alot of people say it's not allowed and some say it's allowed. There's 2 reshade files to use on rust Day/Night: The day just makes your game look better in colors gives more vibrance. If you were to use the night reshade there's a high chance you would get banned, because the night reshade makes your screen bright and it's easier to see in night, and it would be suspicious seeing people in night time everytime! From my perspective i wouldn't recommend using it because EAC could detect it as a cheat and would get you banned. And if you got banned you couldn't appeal because EAC won't allow that and they would only remove the ban automatically if it was a false ban. But if you want to use it do it on your own risk! If you would use it the chance to get banned can very from high to low, but there's always a chance to get banned! That's all that i know.
