unfortunately even if you did not know the player was cheating doesnt exclude the fact that benefiting from a cheater in anway is against the rustoria rules. Even if you arent on eachother's TC you are a still benefiting from them being in your team (by not killing eachother at a minimum). You are welcome to make an appeal https://rustoria.co/support/appeal but typically association bans are temporary bans that generally dont get lifted unless the cheaters ban is overturned.. I hope that helps clarify.
