I understand your frustration in that you claim you did not know, but even if that is the case, you are responsible for who you play with and it's never a good idea to never with someone you've just met for this reason. Get to know them a little first, ask to see their hours, you can check their BM profile. A few things you can do to protect yourself if you want to find new players to enjoy the game with. Even after this, if you did not know, you have to think of the impact this player had on the game and other players you and they encountered, giving them an unfair advantage.

In regards to your ban, you should see how long is left when you try to connect, which updates each time for you with the exact time.
