I trusted the other guy to but he's like a professional smooth talker, lol. Never once suspected he was cheating. He's followed us between 4 servers now with about 9-10 personas over a month. Same guy. Voicee changer, everything.

But I'm a friendly peprson overall (I still PVP) and I do meet players who seem chill and legit but I just don't know what to do to protect myself besides just playing solo forever (I'm also a streamer). I like to make allies and have enemies in a game like this but I'm scared to makee allies now due to the history I've had over the last month with this one very effective cheater. He's bought steam accounts with histories on them and everything during all this.

I love the dynamics of team, allies, frenemies, enemies in this game but because of the situation I'm just not sure how I can vet someone. When their steam profiles are private, etc. I do my best to steam IO, see how old it is, try to check KDA's on Rustoria but they usually (the stalker) have even their Rustoria stuff set to private.

I would also like to say, after each vape I have to turn on the vpn to download the map, if I try to log on to the server without vpn, then the map will not load, namely there will be such a text as "downloading map 0.0%". I use a vpn 1 time a week (on the day of the vape) so that the card loads. By the way, it would be nice if you could download a map on your website. I would drag it to the rust files.
