another technique I used for characters that have more importance is to establish what type of person they are and how they act around other people and by themselves. Then I think about the scenario and setting they are in, and what their social status in the world is. With all of this established, I would ask myself, "What would they wear?", and then go from there

You have to remember the gems aren’t supposed to look human so even if they did like blue their heads would be shaped differently then normal

She doesn’t have much dimension, like sunken eyes or a skull for that matter

Those are two different styles. In that Steven Universe style she has a longer face, not a flat head because if you notice, if you start from the forehead you can still make a full circle even in this style

Even though they said I was wrong for considering fixing the shoulders since the main reason it looks big it’s because clothing is going to cover it

It’s not ment to be pretty since people aren’t perfect however

I just ended up changing the color since I didn’t want to do black and white and greys

i just figured out a really good idea for beginners trying to draw a pose or something like that, use SFM or some software like that to get a character with a similar bodytype to do the pose you want, render a frame, and then trace over that rendered frame and boom you got the post
