Another Hoosier vouching for how beautiful Maine is! My partner and I are rounding out our trip here and it’s been really lovely. Been really nice to visit the ocean; we have Lake Michigan sorta lol but mostly landlocked

Visited the house, the water tower and sewer grate lol, very surprised that the last two are very low key, no plaques or anything just straight up the neighborhood lol! I tried looking for a secondhand copy of a Stephen king book to bring home to for a friend but didn’t know really where to look. The best spots for secondhand Stephen King books is the little free libraries on the street near his house, sometimes he leaves signed copies! Another good spot is the Goodwills, we often have shelves overflowing with his books!

And a sweet note about Stephen I rarely share on the internet, but I used to live at the youth homeless shelter in town for several years, and the public library refused to let me get a library card because they didn’t trust homeless people (even though I was 17 and literally just wanted to read) I had read all the books in the shelter. One of the staff asked him on Twitter if he would give a few of his books to the shelter and he deadass brought a whole bookshelf, like the furniture piece, and enough books to fill up the entire shelves, everything he had written so far, some with little notes. It was the kindest donation ever, he asked for it to be private but he’s a great guy!

He also occasionally donates to local social justice nonprofits, which I only know because I work with a bunch of them and have seen our donor lists

Oh and Pro Libris is just around the corner from his house— a great used bookstore and they definitely have his books

this was the first pilots show i ever had barricade for and genuinely i cannot stress enough how much of an actual lifesaver having it was like in terms of pain, fainting/nausea episodes, general stability, ive never had a better show

She was super sweet, just a radiant vibe. Wish I had more room in our luggage lol but I got a darling bracelet there for my best friend and then some fortune cards for funsies.

Her mom even popped in the store and I guess she had went to the show and was blown away by the performance and the clikkies lol
