It took him two minutes to remember he had stretchy powers too lol
My favorite part was when Ben exposed him saying heās not so smart since he lacks experience in things like cooking. He had a point
Just found out from this movie, the Fantastic 4 were astronauts before they were superheroes
I thought everyone knew that
Same
Yes lol
Thanks
Shouldnāt you avoid this channel then?
We donāt want to spoil for I
I barely am ever in here so itās fine. Iāll probably check back in this channel again after I see the movie
no please
share more love
I think this was my fave mcu movie since endgame
Any of u agree
There were a few that I didnāt watch
Ask me again in 15 hrs
yes
you saved money
Glad to know it
literally thunderbolts was better lmao
I think itās the best standalone since Iron Man.
is there something wrong with BO Mojo? one moment it shows 368 M for F4 then it goes down to 367 M?
happened w superman too
Not Guardians?
better at what?
Yeah Iām waiting to watch thunderbolts still
It's a really good movie
Well I'm going again one last time
Normally I'd go 3 times but the prices are ridiculous
writing characters and follow through on theme. I think having a suicide squad of ragtag villains talking about themselves wanting to commit suicide is actually a pretty genius idea.
Meanwhile fantastic four's thematic exploration of parenthood/self determination vs larger responsibilities pretty much stops at Vanessa Kirby giving a speech that magically resolves all conflicts. The style is a pastiche and the characters are so toned down and risk avert that some of them blend into each other
using a clone and a robot come on
it didn't resolve all conflict. she was proving a point about family and sacrifice
The conflict isn't about a big space cyborg killing earth, that's the boring stuff. The conflict is how they chose their own family over their larger responsibilities and the darkness that lies in the selfish decisions you have to make in lieu of a greater sacrifice. The film basically said you don't have to make a decision like that, you can deliver a speech and then figure out a way to have your cake and eat it too
The only interesting conflict the film got and has set up was the child being named the sacrificial and how them practically being gods of this world can also show moments of weakness (or humanity if you will) but the film basically just forgoes that entire framing and say, actually, they're just gods and they can do both
Either sacrificing the child, fulfilling their responsibility as the protector of this world but forever traumatized, or keeping the child and leaving the world to burn in regrets are both really interesting outcomes (and they can cheat too, like revive the child or turn back time or some other bs if we have to have a happy ending for the sake of the franchise, but regardless of that, we need at least a moment of reconciliation instead of just throwing that theme straight into the trash
And in the end, or like every time before, they chose to save their world at the risk of everyone including themselves, human torch tried to offer his life multiple times for their world, not just his family. Regardless if they survive they would have had to give up the earth. Does sacrificing their child in an ATTEMPT there was no guarantee outside of being a cape movie about a superfamily to stop a dimensional giant not show that for you, just because they saved him and won, such as comic book movies do, does that mean less?
They knew together that no matter what they would either all die or all live. Give up one child for the world or giving the world for the child was the choice. They chose to save the earth at the cost of themselves when they had full power to straight up leave
Disney boss Bob Iger says Marvel's #FantasticFour reboot has "successfully launched this important franchise into the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

I mean also āeverything can be solved with one good televised monologueā
The Thing
Any time I see him, I just smile.
Somehow heās really likable even when heās just sitting there.
In this movie, Human Torch
Good choice
if marvel wasnt dumb they should have made this movie like five years ago, and then make a second movie by now with doctor doom as the main villain that sets him up as the next big bad and leads into doomsday
also FATWS should have just been cap 4, and we should have had a second sam cap movie by now
its just so weird that they focused so much on making shows about random side characters instead of making movies about the leads of the mcu that actually set up a story
making it half hulk, half cap, made it a half assed movie
they realize now, hopefully, majority dont give a fk about the shows
atleast not casual fans
Bro is cooking bro shouldāve worked for Marvel
Lol many people have been saying this online. In fact, they shouldāve introduced F4 before they planned to make a film.
Never heard the name, isnāt MCU under someone named Amdrew?
honestly, this film felt to me like I'd missed the first one. It was 100% a sequel story instead of a debut. Like, I get they didn't want to do another origin film, but it would have been nice to have seen Sue and Reed get together, and for him to actually get to spend some time being happy. He spent the whole film being stressed and mopey
Introducing your characters and universe with some world ending stakes was just too much
they should have been on the otherside of that portal in Captain Marvel 2
would have made more sense than trying to shoehorn the "other universe xmen"
They should have done it earlier in the mcu
Ya it was great
Same
suck on that supernerd
oh look, more grey and brown

Of course he will

eat a warm Franklin diaper
Youāre somehow cornier than Superman himself
who took the time to post a 3 week old tweet
not me
I just took the tweet from the Superman chat
Surfer riding the sun wave is peak
Wish I rewatched this on IMAX
the sounds for Galactus was epic
Wait I actually have a chance with one screening.
I have a feeling they gave a prompt to chatgpt "Write a good movie script for fantastic 4" and just made a film through it
when i'm in a stupid competition and my opponent is the message above me
What
The script felt too formulaic.
Not that its a bad thing
But so predictable
On the other hand i loved the aesthetics, the pacing and stuff.
Is it just me or did it feel somewhat like The live action adaptation of The incredibles
pink krptonite
I agree, the movie was quite bland despite some great moments. The director excelled in WandaVision, and a longer runtime might have improved my enjoyment. However, the character development was lacking, and the story was decent, though the f4 defeating Galactus in the movie he was introduced in was disappointing. The family dynamic was a highlight. And you are right Itās like a worse version of the live-action Incredibles, but still a decent Marvel movie.
my ONLY issue was the short runtime
My biggest issue honestly was the āwe can solve the worldās hate with a speechā
Cookie cutter subplots
It's a totally different world where Future foundation is the UN and Sue Storm has managed to basically achieve almost near universal disarmament, so ya our world's logic doesn't apply there.
it was "hate" so much as misguided justice for their own lives
imagine, the president of Nerds USA says, to save you all I have to give a post-term abortion, mind you theyve been trying for years and gave up until the start of the movie, and give our kid up to space-satan and his mutant silverfish, or you all die
obviously some people gonna be up in arms and think to give the baby up
was this movies message anti-abortion or pro-parent, who knows
It was the trolly problem
I mean⦠just not realistic that EVERYONE went āaw, okā
Was pretty fantastic at times
"everyone go home or Johnny will set us on fire"
choices:
- appease Galan, give up baby, and HOPE he doesn't kill us anyway
- keep baby and die with everyone
- keep baby, leave earth, and everyone dies while we get hunted down, possibly risking other planets
- what happened in the movie, risk planets on the otherside of their universe/galaxy
Guys, if you were to rate this movie again, would it be the same? I honestly feel like I overated this movie. This movie feels like a setup to Avengers
i gave it 5
would move it to 4/4.5
still a solid foundational movie ....20 years into the mcu
I wish the movie was longer. After some time off, I feel like it was rushed
it's a very solid 3 to me
cant argue against that, while it was a new world that they wanted to build, they didnt let us stay in it very long before it all came crashing down
I heard people wanted more of the Red Ape type scenes, more street level villainy before universal
Maybe we will get a director's cut on Disney Plus
director said no....hopefully fuck him though
that's what I've been saying. This felt like a sequel to a film we never got. The stakes were far too big for a character debut.
ok, they didn't want to make another origin film, but it would have been nice to see their dynamic without a baby in the equation.
adding a 5th before really knowing the 4 is a VERY fair criticism
Spider-Man is more street level villains. I wish Fantastic Four showed us more of that
Mmhmm, I also hope John Malevichās in the deleted scenes on the releases
well did the movie break even?
cost 2, made 4
Not as simple

The two red sticks being his legs?
BRUH
What red sticks
I see two red sticks which looks like boots
Theyāre not red
BRO IS COLOR BLIND
The legs are red, aren't they?
No?
You guys are trolling me? What color are they then? They look pretty red to me
An open red circle
White
Purple
White
so you dont see a RED LETTER C SURROUNED BY GREEN ?
Yellow in some green/brown
Im no longer joking
You shared the same image twice in a row
im not trying to be rude
you actually might have some color blindness that you may need to look into
What color are the legs then? They look like red boots to me
Can you read any of the numbers in these circles
||12, 8, 6, 29, 57, 5, 3 15 74 5 6 57 5 42 45||
Yes, I can see some of them clearly, some I need to focus
go to an eye doctor, its not an emergency, just for confirmation, before you mistake a red flag for a surrender
haha, Let me check again, pretty sure I saw red legs
They are red legs
red???????????
funny enough in the unedited version you dont see the white boots at all
The edited version has red boots though
what color animal do you see in this ?
Red penguin
get fucked mate
???
you gotta be trolling at this point
It's like orangish and purple though isnt it
Or wait mor spink actually
Like a salmon color
ye
Red is somewhere between orange and purple
Describe red please
This is concerning
my foots gonna be be somewhere between your ass and mouth
His trachea?
somewhere
Close to the edited version
send us a screenshot of your view
That boot is green-
you are on crack
Tell me that that's not red
I kinda see red in between the legs but not the legs themselves
That's not red
Red
those are white boots, that have been edited into the image
Red boots
Am I the only one that sees red boots?
That Power Ranger is light red, the boots are dark red
I wouldnāt call power range light red, Iād think that is stereotypical red
Blue and white
The normal outfit is blue and white, that's why the red boots threw me off. I don't get why you would edit one with red boots
Blue. and some white
any red at all?
no
- take a screen shot of the picture
- zoom in,
- use paint, or some app that has the āpipetā feature that allows you to select the pixels and see what color value it has.
??? I honestly see red, I don't get how you guys see white in the edit version
Compare it to range of colors associated with red vs white
and put it to rest that way.
I will use paint
those are the the colors
now his penis might be other colors
its thats red then im a blue skinned man
If it's not red, it's brown, either way, it's not white
What hex value or RGB value is that.
Pure red is (255, 0,0) for example
How do you check the hex or rgb value in paint?
(255, 50, 50) is pinkish red
(128, 0, 0) is maroon
One sec, there should be some kinda pipet thingy:
-
Open Paint and either load your image or start a new one.
-
Select the Color Picker tool (eyedropper) from the toolbar.
-
Click on the part of the image whose color you want to inspect.
-
The chosen color will appear in the āColor 1ā box.
-
Click on Edit Colors (usually found in the top toolbar).
-
A window pops up showing the Red, Green, and Blue values (0ā255) for the selected color.
the point is that you are sideways about an edited image which the main point of is to look at the stretchy shlong, when in the regular unedited version you don't see the boots anyhow
His boots are white but there is a shadow on the back of them. Thatās why the outline has white pixels.
I can't get edit colors
So the shadow on the back of his boots is ādark purpleā , but his boots are white
Which ver of windows u on
Windows 11 Home
So basically the outward lines are white and inside it's dark purple but i'm supposed to believe that the boots are white?
ādark purplish-grayā
Yes you use context clues, here
you see a white outline on his boots right?
Letās take his left leg
The stretched Blue suit also has some white outline
why would there be a light source making his left leg appeared white. The upper part of the suit has Galactus eyes shining on itā¦
I don't know, awkward light reflection/bad edit?
What's also a bad thing about it, is that the shoes are long in the stretch, making the image seem even more ridiculous
Fair, though Iād have assumed Reed would have done something with the type of clothing, shoes, gloves,ā¦etc shii he wears to accommodate this. Heās cutting edge scientist, Iād hope if heās cracked galactic space travel heād have cracked making his clothes suit his stretchy body.
You'd think that the limbs would stretch first before his his ankles/feet
From this image, I do see more white in it
Thatās the same image as earlier
just zoomed in a lil
My eyes must be tired. The right leg still looks more red though
Letās test it out
One sec
That time I used it on a pixel his right leg rather then left.
And what's the name of that color?
so it looks like a āplumā or muddy kinda purple? itās w/in ādomainā of purple color space prob
This is hilarious to watch go down
And that's definatly not white. So me saying Red boots is not weird at all
yall cannot be on this still
fine
now what
The āshadowā on the back of his boot is not white⦠his boot is whiteā¦
the editing of the photo makes the shoes whatever color they are
again, badly edited
Someone should edit Ice Cube seeing āphone footageā of Galactus walking down the street.
So it's not a failure then? I'm happy for it. I don't want them to stop making Marvel films
It underperformed by Marvel standards
Also, they werenāt going to stop making Marvel movies lol even if F4 flopped.
I doubt there would be a sequel unless the audience wants it after Doomsday and Secret Wars.
Secret Wars is a reboot though. So I expect most actors being recast
I've heard that Chris Hemsworth still has his Thor role afterwards
Secret Wars isnāt a reboot
The reboot and recast will happen after phase six.
Also, F4 is definitely not getting recasted. Their popularity with the audience now relies on Doomsday and Secret Wars.
Hope we can get a sequel because First Steps was a solid movie and one of the best in MCU.
Itās a shame the movie underperformed.
Yeah, but it's understandable though. We had Jurrassic World and Superman on the same month before that. F4 was most likely to take a hit
Still though. Many including myself thought this movie would destroy Superman in the box office.
We were wrong about it and fooled by the MCU brand image.
Also, clearly even Marvel underestimated Superman. They couldāve released it on a later date.
Like F4 wasnāt even a bad movie and the IP is also known. Pedro Pascal is also a popular actor these days, so we all expected this movie to do better.
Here in the Netherlands the marketing for Superman has been over the top. There were ads everywhere for it. Fantastic Four not so much. I like was James Gunn is doing with Marketing for DCU projects. I'm honestly not worried about Marvel since they still have big IPs like Deadpool and Spider-Man. Likely to do very well.
I was expecting Fantastic Four to do as well as Superman to be honest. Due to Pedro and Vanessa
That could be another reason. Marvel will definitely have to worry if Doosmday and Secret Wars donāt do that well, but as of now I expect those to make more than BND.
I have doubts about Doomsday and Secret Wars numbers. I know that Spider-Man will do well. I hope that Avengers will do well, but we'd have to see
If BND, Doomsday and Secret Wars have all done really well, then Marvel regains their goodwill.
They wouldnāt have much pressure when it comes to dealing with the reboot, but nevertheless Marvel shouldnāt repeat the mistakes theyāve committed back during phase 4 and 5.
I wonder what Marvel will do though. They obviously need to avoid making the mistake of throwing too many projects on Disney Plus. So the future will be interesting.
Now if Doosmday and Secret Wars only perform satisfactorily, then the Marvel brand is fucked up. I donāt know what they will do.
Yeah, they should reduce TV projects. Most of them are trash and unnecessary.
In the beginning of when Marvel started showing their films on the big screen I used to follow all of them. Then came the period when they had so many tv projects, I stopped watching most Marvel films because I felt like I couldn't keep up with what happened in their universe
It's just recently that I started watching more Marvel films again.
Yeah it started getting convoluted and a chore for casual audience.
Only hardcore MCU fans care about these things.
True. The film that got me started into watching again was Thunderbolts, I'm a bit saddened at the fact that it didn't do well
It is a failure because I don't think the movie is gonna make any profit and that's gonna be a disappointment
Yeah 2.5 the budget is normally breaking even these days iirc
sad really
but maybe it has legs idk
studios are counting 3 these days
Doomsday is technically a sequel
Cause Reed is the lead
But for a solo fantastic four I doubt thereāll be a sequel unless high demand like you said
I mean given the possible aftermath of doomsday/SW saga the overall events in this movie may not be important
I think the idea is NOTHING will matter after Doomsday, hopefully itās a reshuffle
Battleworld-style
I just found out Alex Hyde-White is in it
Is it gonna cross 500 million dollars ?
It should, but not doing well.
How come? Pedro Pascal is in it, it should sell
honestly, hard to pinpoint why
General audiences don't really give a shit about these things anymore
They need a reason to go rather than just "here's another one"
How does Pedro sell?
Heās been getting memed on more than praised
that is objectively not true
Thereās so many āanxietyā memes of him
I think people overestimated his stardom. Pascal has been part of successful IPs.
not at all indicative of general opinion about him
people severely overestimate how much social media impacts the real world
Star power in films doesnāt exist anymore
Or at least theater wise
F4 had a more known cast than Superman yet ir doukdnr surpass that
True, but Superman is the bigger IP and is a more well known character.
yeah "movie stars" basically dont exist anymore
like for sure certain names can bring more attention to a movie
but just having a certain person attached is no longer enough to guarantee a movies success
movies used to be heavily advertised around the star and that isnt really a thing these days
Itās not much of a thing in Hollywood anymore.
But that statement does not hold true in other industries.
Ngl, but I kinda miss that era of Hollywood.
It takes away chances of there being classics for future generations
Star power does exist in stuff like music and sports but Hollywood not really
Youād have to be an absolute legend like Denzel Washington to be revered
I mean Tom Cruise is arguably the biggest Hollywood star
But sure
I think if anything id say like
I wanted more Natasha Lyonne
Something for The Thing to do would be nice
I loved the 2000's Fantastic 4 and the reboot 2015 was gritty. 2025 to me again was more Comic Book version, a tad wholesome, but I still liked it!
2015 was just as comedic as the 2005 one. They failed at making it actually dark
āNobodyā meanwhile thereās thousands of memes and edits of it on Tiktok
ok
Mustāve missed those
missing a brain too
Says the Fantastic Four fan
yet you keep coming back , how laughable
Oof aināt it at 500 mill box office w/200+ budget š„²
wonder why people aināt show up for this?
This movie seemed ludicrous to me. I suppose if there's a 50/50 split on liking it or hating it, then it must not be that bad.
But when a woman gets pregnant and then joins her team to battle something that's going to wipe out the earth, it just feels like a stretch. And then as a result she ends up giving birth near a black hole - which seems like an "I told you so" moment...
Expecting a superhero scifi movie to not be ludicrous is kinda crazy
oh i loved that moment
was awesome
Well,...true. And there are many different flavors of ludicrous. But that flavor of ludicrous to me was like a baked potato with butter and chocolate syrup.
Not my favourite steelbook cover
Looks bland š
Does match kinda with the vibe they were going with for the movie tho
Itās so majestic
