#🎥 Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One
1 messages · Page 2 of 1
it's like when people report that a movie is 4 hours long like all movies technically have a 4 hour long cut
Sorta but it’s not exactly the same
An assembly cut is just the collection of all the footage they shot
But there was an edited version of the film which had the sequence at 90 minutes
I had people talking when any of sort of dialogue came up
Then quiet when action or set pieces began
Believe it or not the opening intro sequence plays 30 minutes into the film
That’s a lot of information and dialogue for the casual audience member coming for a Saturday movie to consume
I’m just here tryna understand what’s going on and people talking during the most important parts
Soooo many dutch angles
the sound was up so loud at my screening that the credits were really epic 😄
I’m so grateful mine was too
I love hearing that theme blast
Went into an imax screening; rly salty that Tom pulled out the IMAX
How do you think they’ll do the fucken
Underwater stunt
Like what is he actually physically capable of doing down there that’s not in the risk of like, water pressure, sea creatures
well, they're going to do it on a set, so....
Though, knowing Cruise, he'll be all 'let's go free diving in the Bering Sea just for fun!'
‘you’re dead/stay that way’
I’m sure that won’t come back to bite him in the ass later on 😀
"You're dead, stay dead"
dont let this flop
Gonna rewatch it today since every wednesday my local cinema sells tickets at half price
lol
why not barbie?
Because it hasn't been released here yet
Damn
it sold out first day it went on sale
My cousin bought us tickets for tomorrow I think
someone legit stole my first seats from me while i was booking
nice
u doing double header?
Yes lol
early
ong
imax?
@young flicker what u seeing barbie in?
Not imax unfortunately :'))
There's only one imax theatre in my city and it's too far away from where I live
damn
It's also been established at that point that Luther and Benji has already made moves without him knowing at the airport anyway
I think this is why I still believe she's alive like "you're dead, stay dead" to fool the algorithm and then later on Ethan gets the pay off end of that line
Its not flopping
Hopefully people are sick of tom cruise like me so the next one flops lol
well that aint gonna happen
the only people sick of tom cruise are people sick of good action
as a person I can't stand him, but that doesn't stop me watching films he is in
fr
fr
fr
Yay!
Yay!
Oh so you're sick of cinema good to know
chain broken
it's kinda funny how this movie has a couple of set pieces that are incredibly similar to indy 5's set pieces
Watched this and damn it wad amazing
Best MI movie in terms of plot
Fallout still has the best action but MI 7 with the bike and train stunt was amazing too
And Hayley Atwell is a wonderful addition
Her character was great
All the women in this movie were awesome
Totally agree
and their tailored suits were amazing
Tom and Hayley's outfits in this movie were top notch
am i the only one or grace is the most stupid character in mi franchise?
Like almost the entire film was carried because she acted stupidly every time
There's a difference between stupid and selfish
she acted in her own self-interest until the end
Her role was to be a spanner in the works
Paris def my fav character from the film
I hope we get to see more of her in part 2
It was obvious that it wouldn't survive Barbenheimer but it wasn't the box office disaster people were saying it was
ye
im ngl
if ur seeing this this weekend
idk what ur on
There are people that, believe it or not, are not interested in Oppenheimer in the slightlest
Or Barbie is not their cup of tea
So this the third option by default lol
meth
should’ve killed Grace
Not really. Example the fight with gabe. Ilsa fought better than her.
I didnt say anything about her being a skilled fighter than Ilsa?
Its apparent Grace isnt that much of a fighter lol
I just loved her character and her personality
Thus she is one of better additions in the franchise
I s’pose. In that regards.
Probably should’ve kept Pom alive too ?
She is alive
They said she had a pulse
When those interpol or whatever guys checked up on her
And yeah, she was great too. She was mad badass with that car chase sequence with Ethan and Grace
Claustrophia at its finest lol
Also, my theatre went pin drop silent when Cruise rode his motorcycle off that cliff
Such an amazing scene
Same.
And they couldn’t stop laughing for the yellow car 🚗
Does anyone feel the connectivity btwn Catwoman and grace
Two characters that share almost no resemblance other than the fact that they... pickpocket? I guess?
Is wade eastwood related to Clint Eastwood?
Is it just me or what? Has anyone seen the Actor from "Relic Hunter" Wade Eastwood? Now everyone knows "Clint Eastwood" the Actor, Right? Please tell me how someone can look identical to someone else and yet have the same last name, but there DNA is no where close to the same, or is it? If you put a picture of "Wade Eastwood" beside a picture of...
Shut up
I think maybe if this movie came out in august it woulda been better timing
The movie isnt dead
The people saying this is dead are all dumb lol
Like you can't judge it from the 2nd weekend drop. It'd definitely dropping 60%, we all know.
You have to judge it from the 3rd weekend drop. If it still has staying power, it will show
Barbeimer
Both have commitment issues both leave the protagonist in trouble always, but ends up falling for them anyways
Dads who think Oppenheimer is too long
Gotta grill
💀
this is the next movie ima see in theatres
But one is an action movie and the other is an historical drama
@smoky coral whats so funny?
Soooooo is this a flop?
Why is everyone obsessed with it failing?
this was a good fucking movie
For real
Every now and then, one guy comes in here and declares it as a flop for some reason
I remember people reserving judgement until after a movie finished its run in the theatres before declaring it as a hit or flop
Even if it flops, again, God can come down here and he won't be able to stop Tom Cruise from making Part Two
This is not a first movie in a franchise that needs to make a lot of money to secure a sequel, this is fucking Mission: Impossible
As long as Paramount doesn't go bankrupt there's literally no reason to believe they're not gonna make M:I 9, M:I 10, M:I 11
While I loved Barbenheimer I'm kinda bummed that MI 7 part 1 seems to take a big hit and may not even break even which is kinda sad as the movie is amazing.
I hope the movie at least doesn't lose any money.
fr
wish I could be happy about barbie and oppenheimer doing well but mission is underperforming so fuck all of you

So watching this now, do they really not explain Gabriel's whole deal?
Also yeah no way ilsa is dead. The fundamental struggle is to try to beat the all knowing so only big lies can really work
I think we'll get introduced to a new female character next film, and right a the end she'll take off the mask she'd worn all the time and it's her.
I hope so
That would be glorious
Definitely had that thought of like it felt kinda lackluster and not officialised so the thought of a fake out was pondered
My big thing is that Ilsa and Paris appeared to be stabbed in the same place, yet we know that Paris survived....
I think Ethan wont end up with a girl by the end or maybe will with grace cuz hes lost every girl hes gone close with
I think he's going to be dead....
pull a john wick
I can't for the life of me see Grace and Ethan having something romantically lol
ilsa stabbed to the heart
for paris stabbed in the abdomen
thats why she is alive
^
Ilsa was critically hit by Gabriel
Also I think Rebecca Ferguson doesn’t really want to return for Part Two
I heard that she's filming for Silo second season and that conflicts with Part 2 of MI 7
After losing Imax screens, #MissionImpossible7 is projected to fall 62% in its second weekend. "Fallout" and "Rogue Nation" each dropped less than 50% in their sophomore outings. https://t.co/A0DN52bI7A

This sucks
If only it was released way before or after Barbenheimer mania
True but then nobody had any idea about how Barbenheimer would take over
Yep true
Well, yes they did
The problem here isn’t with Boppenheimer
It’s because Oppenheimer has IMAX exclusivity so MI7 loses a lot of screens and money
But then couldn't MI 7 shift to non IMAX screens?? Or maybe they should have released a few weeks earlier
Well yes, and it was already playing on non IMAX screens too
But big blockbusters rely on IMAX for a lot of money and customers
Since it’s the ideal blockbuster format
It’s the reason Cruise was so mad and went to Universal asking them to delay Oppenheimer
I think if they pushed it back to august it woulda made more in the opening weekend and even if the budget got bigger because of the pushback, it woulda gotten more revenue
Just sucks paramount chose the worst weekend to show it
I think they thought there would be repeat of Top gun maverick
Shame that Ilsa died but saw it coming from a mile away
Other than that Pegg and Rhames were still great
Looking forward to part 2
Its a big jump
And thank god its doing better than indy 5
It will pass 3. And i hope it has bigger legs in the incoming weeks
I thought it was 290
I don’t think it was
i dont think this is about barbie or oppenheimer, its that this franchise has always preformed decently, but never massive
It's solid, and I don;t think it needs to be more than that
also this entire summer has been one of dissapointments, and im even waiting to see what the outlook is for barbenheimer next week before we say the year is saved
disappointments how? Just box office not as big as people hoping?
not a single movie this year other than like, mario has been a smash hit.
everythings underpreformed
and the legs on everything are just pittances
well, the legs get chopped off by streaming
but I understand your point
I dunno, I guess people have just become really comfortable with watching films at home.
or they've just not found anything to get excited about.
but that's also on the studios for not being willing to make mid-budget films anymore
Yeah I think it’s always been like 600-800 million type movie since after the 3rd one
It's decent domestically but internationally it's pretty explosive
Just like Fast & Furious
Exactly
What I learned from this experience was that I'm incredibly attracted to Rebecca Ferguson
who isn't?
This was also before they reached a 100 million dollars Covid settlement
So we really don't know what the actual budget is but it can definitely be lower than 290
aren’t we all
Movie already has more money than indy 5
That's enough for me
And Hayley Atwell
Hayley atwell is gorgeous, she’s the perfect action movie sidekick
I hope more people rediscover Agent Carter becasue of this. That show deserved more love and a third season.
I hope so too, Agent Carter was a really good show and it absolutely deserved a third season.
Apparently Atwell is still down to make more.
Ah, would love to see her back
To be honest Ilsa was better than Grace, Grace wasn't bad though
Ilsa is better than pretty much every other character but Grace was an interesting addition
Luther&Benji are great as well
To be honest the Luther, Benji, William, Ilsa and Ethan version of the crew was the best
Grace became my favourite MI girl with this film
Brandt was such a great character lol but then he disappeared into thin air for whatever reason
Renner probably went on to do different stuff
Think Ferguson will work on different stuff as well
No its because he had scheduling conflicts in shooting for MI 6 and Avengers Endgame
He had to choose one between them and since his character was going to get killed in MI 6 at the beginning, he chose Endgame
Oh
Would be cool if he came back for the last one
Same with the ones who left unexpectedly like paula platton and maggie q
And laurence fishbourne
Mission Impossible: Endgame
Thandiwe Newton too was supposed to return as well for MI 3 lol but she was pregnant during that time
Then, she never returned for some reason
It’s so funny that the MI teams keep changing not because of some behind the scenes beef it was literally just actor schedules
I wish that Renner returned for the finale
I haven’t seen 2-5 yet but I know he’s been in a couple
Dead reckoning part two will literally be the best movie of all time
Spin off would be cool
Yes it absolutely was
Falllout is so good
true ken
No chance for that, they were already in production as well. Plus I think even if this movie doesn't do well theatrically it would do well in PVOD and many people will love it later.
Literally impossible
It'll be delayed due to the strike, but it won't be cancelled
They chose the wrong weekend they r still making the sequel
If they call off a sequel they r losing more money
I don't think Tom Cruise will let them cancel the sequel.
How else is he going to do his ridiculous stunts?
but yes, they totally chose the wrong weekend to release it.
Don't know whose fault is it to choose the wrong weekend.. maybe Cruise felt his movies were gonna repeat Tom gun maverick numbers or the studio thought Barbie and Oppenheimer won't do well
I mean my guy
Legit no one thought Barbenheimer would be as big as it is
Oh absolutely esp Oppenheimer.. yes Nolan is involved but the idea that a 3 hr biopic would make hundreds of millions of dollars is something that nobody thought
Thought I read somewhere that Cruise wanted to change the release date?
That's certainly possible as a lot of the IMAX screens his movie was playing was to be given to Oppenheimer but I guess the studio refused it
They should have released in this August
The only movie it would have been competing against would have been Blue Beetle and there's no way in hell that movie would have been more popular than Tom Cruise's stunt park
Do y’all think Rebecca(ilsa) asked to be written off the franchise?
I think with her other commitments (Silo, Dune etc) it's likely
Hmm.
But it's not impossible that she might show up in part 2
Or i'm just being delusional
She ded
Maybe a flashback
The reason why I'm delusional is because of all the ways they could have killed her off they chose the most anticlimactic death
Imagine if they decided to kill off Simon Pegg's character by idk throwing him of a bridge into a river and we never see or hear of him again, that would be insulting
BRO THINKS HES HIM
Fallout came out 5 years ago today I think
"Mom can we have The Entity?"
"We have The Entity at home"
The Entity at home:
Yup!
Im surprised this is doing poorly ar the box office
It got such positive reviews and audience feedback
Tom Mapothar must be fuming
Terrible timing for it to come out
yeah
As much as I hated that this flopped, I'm still glad that this was a good movie
I would rather have this be a very good movie and a flop than a box office success and a bad movie
Because as bad as it was, there was no way that the box office will cause part two to be canceled or not come out. Even if it was significantly worse, (making less than its budget or smthn) it would still come out most likely
My rating/thoughts on it have gone down slightly, but I still think it's p solid
Julia Roberts Was Considered For De-Aging In 'Mission Impossible' Segment https://t.co/p0ArpxMMNf
She's in the second one??
Now, McQuarrie is saying that the same segment — set in 1989 — also considered offering Julia Roberts a small role as a de-aged version of herself.
Speaking on the Empire Spoiler Special podcast episode, McQuarrie said Roberts was envisioned as agent Ethan Hunt’s (Tom Cruise) lover. But the sequence was scrapped altogether, McQuarrie said, because he felt that the audience would be feeling “too distracted by how an actor that I had known for however long was now suddenly this young person.”```
ah
she might return idk
I mean she got stabbed and it was pretty anticlimactic like you said
👁️ 👁️
I pretend I do not see 😔
The timing just was bad for the movie
Mission Impossible Ranked
- Fallout - 10/10
- Ghost Protocol - 9/10
- Dead Reckoning Part One - 8-8.5/10
- Rogue Nation - 8/10
Have not seen the first 3
3rd is still my favourite, tbh
3rd is fantastic but the shaky camera and color grading are not very good tbh
I think the story and the spy work is the best
When are we gonna get more news about Luna Park the Tom Cruise spar movie?
Fuck
Just came out in no so good of a time
Considering the delays maybe not a long while
It did well opening weekend
And internationally
That doesnt really matter, its not doing well in its legs
I hope part 2 does better at the b.o., whenever that comes out
Exactly
It's kind of annoying
I love the villain tho
Philip Seymour Hoffman is the best part of the movie
‘MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - DEAD RECKONING: PART ONE’ has passed $400M worldwide.

rocking back and forth we getting there we getting there
@warm beacon
Cool
Nice profile picture my guy. Prego prego
Italian Tom Cruise is suck a funny image Imma use this until the end of time
It is lmao
He's also dressed the same way as Josh Harnett in Oppenheimer and it's hilarious
This is what went through Grace's mind in that moment
If it's released 1 month before Oppenheimer and Barbie
Easily it's going to make 1 billion
But this good box office
It will make profit in dvd sales
have any of the others managed to do that, becasue I think you're being a bit too optimistic
This is wrong. They accidentally put China's 300M Yuan as 300M dollars
Not to kill the mood because I love the movie too and I hope it does well but the actual number is still somewhere 500M
Wtf
Always go for Box office mojo
And ya it sucks that the movie isn't gonna make much..
Yes it is but the timing of its release just wasn't good
lol
Fuck Paramount all my homies hate Paramount
Paramount's been making insanely high quality movies this year it's just that the movies become sacrificial meals for either Barbie or Mario
I mean... I guess it depends if you like action movies more than comedies and historical dramas
But the three of them are pretty solid imo
Tom Cruise indeed
Yes you should watch it esp if you have been a fan of past MI movies..
here for the eyecandy
Imo its better than barbie but not better than oppenheimer but all are great movies
This was a glitch
Sadly this movie wont pass a billion and that really sucks. This prob wont affect the sequel and said that a lot but still think its doing better than most
It's doing pretty well all things considered
Not great great but not an instant flop either
anyone done a direct comparison with the previous release yet?
Seeing this again tomorrow
They're all 10/10s
For me, Oppenheimer is in the top followed by MI 7 part 1 and then Barbie.
No, I meant in terms of box office etc
Last time I checked it had a better opening than Fallout and Rogue Nation but had a much worse drop
But yet again I'm still learning to understand box office numbers so
Wish it was like elemental in which it comes back with its money slowly
Its near 500 mil

Bro i think in terms of cinematic experience mi7 is in top for me.
cant wait to see this in theaters in a couple of weeks
I'm never gonna get tired of saying this but the scene where the entity copies Benji's voice will never not send chills down my spine
Yes, it was a very good line reading from Pegg
its not at elemental level but the holds have become pretty good in the past few weeks
week 2 was teh awful week
600m might be salvageable
👀
Sequel's already in development, budget mainly ballooned because of COVID, performance was only affected by Barbie and Oppenheimer, it'll be fine.
Exactly, the sequel has already started shooting and the movie just had bad timing
I beg you to stop thinking in terms of profit
Like
It’s like saying Infinity War flopped Endgame wouldn’t be shot
This is clearly a 2 movie investment, it has a “part one” in the title.
But won’t the cast be slightly discouraged
I mean sure
Cast is discouraged and there’s definitely gonna be a budget cut
But that’s literally it
Budget cut of how much would you say? 100 mil?
Idk Fallout cost like 175m so maybe that range.
Although I have to say that the 300m budget of Part One isn’t particularly correct because I remember Paramount did reach some 100m settlement regarding Covid regulations. So the actual budget is maybe like 200-250m
didn’t this cost like 300 mil?
oh okay that’s good
No
‘MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING- PART 1’ has made $500M at the global box office.
Yeah, it had a pretty good week last week
I think it'll do well on home release
I do hope it doesnt affect the upcomin sequel
It will not
I believe it will barely, but will, make the 600 mil mark
And considering it cost $300 mil to make, it might just break even.
i still need to see this in theaters
you'd better hurry
Lol
Hapy birthday to the living manifestation of destiny
He better say it in part 2 to close the portal he opened
@warm beacon
Still underperforming
Is it doing terrible though
It’s not doing terrible but definitely not as much as it could’ve done
No
Did it make a bit more money than Fallout or am I mistaken?
Fallout did somewhere around 600+ millions
NVM lmao
huge dip from fallout
Both are great movies though
what? fallout made way more
Sometimes a movie comes out at the wrong time, and it can be detrimental. I agree with that this is the case here. Sometimes the movie just hits at the exact right time and blows up… I’ve always felt that that was the case with the original Pixar movie Cars.
Yeah
But ya know what? Even if it hadn't come out in July and instead came out this month the crew wouldn't had been able to promote it because of the strike
Which I guess is not that much of a loss but in this reality at least we got the clip of Tom Cruise eating pop corn
Even so, the Barbenheimer really swept MI 7 up but hopefully, in terms of BO, MI8 is more fortunate
Do we know when MI8 is supposd to come out? I suppose next summer but i highly doubt the movie is gonna be ready by that time
I think it was going to be that before the strikes, but now seems unlikely
Well, its supposed to come out next summer. If the strikes continue, it might get delayed though
After all, marketing is important
I’m genuinely scared for Hollywood, strikes have no sign of stopping
is this really it
No it isn't, I'm sure they will come to an agreement sooner than later.. possibly in a few months.
Love the women of Dead Reckoning
Ilsa Faust 💜💜
Paris 💕💕
Grace 💙💙
Simon Pegg and Ving Rhames 🥰🥰
Ya, all are great
Shea Whigham is the most beautiful woman in Dead Reckoning
Me
We’ve done it https://boxd.it/4LbQzp
Lovedddddd
Let's goooo
M:I, personally. John Wick 4 dragged like heck, despite being filled with brilliant action
This film held my attention throughout
i still need to see mi7
You gotta see it as the movie is awesome..
As for the comparison, I loved both movies (MI 7 part 1 and JW 4) in their own ways and had huge fun at the theatres.
I haven't watched JW 4 but since the MI franchise is more up my alley then MI7 is my choice
JW 4 is incredible.. you gotta watch it
JW 4 all the way
Did you realize this was an all practical shot? 🤯 #TomCruise #SimonPegg #RebeccaFerguson #MissionImpossible Rogue Nation Available on #AppleTV
This is impressive
Absolutely no cgi
Very Cool
Does anyone know when this will be available in digital?
Sometime this year
Liked the little video they put before the movie
I don't remember if they did it for Fallout, but once I saw it I already knew the movie was gonna be good
Aw yeah, I remember that
white people when Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One leaves theatres
550
I want Thomas Cruise Mapother IV as my lawyer
🔥🔥🔥🔥
good point
This was a wonderful movie and deserved much more
Agree 😔
It's because of the competition from Barbenheimer and Oppenheimer eating up all of MI 7's IMAX screenings
yes, but also the second tweet is the important one. MI7 cost a lot more to make becasue they helped the cast during covid.
The franchise deserves more than this, no matter my qualms with a certain decision that was made
And that decision can be undone in the next instalment, so it's not that bad
I am so hoping that Chris is just playing 4D chess with us
He's smart enough to do that
He's a great writer, I trust him
‘MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: DEAD RECKONING, PART ONE’ hits digital platforms on October 10.

Makes sense
Despite everything it put up a good fight during its theatrical run
Yes and I still believe it was a great movie, had such a fun time at the theatre
Second best MI film
Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One arrives on digital on October 10 ahead of its debut on 4K Ultra HD SteelBook, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 31 (November 1 in Australia). IGN can exclusively debut nearly 10 minutes of footage from the Christopher McQuarrie-directed film featuring Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt in action at Abu D...
Loved this scene, Hayley Atwell was a fantastic addition to this movie
Loved her dynamic with Ethan
Totally
In one month, experience “one of the best action movies ever made”. #MissionImpossible - Dead Reckoning Part One is available on Digital October 10 and on 4K Disc and Blu-Ray October 31. http://paramnt.us/MissionImpossibleDRP1
This is genuinely my favorite scene of the movie
It gave Benji and Luther plenty of time to shine 🥹
cant wait to see this on october 10th
Same
Thank fucking God
220m budget means 550 break even, they just barely scraped it
Oh we are so back
So glad this movie made a profit
This is what they deserve
If this didn't go toe to toe with Barbie, it would've been a smash hit, but honestly it's good that it broke even
i hope Part 2 will have the better release date
I hope so too
Fairly certain Tom's going to use every bit of his influence to change it, like it he tried to do with this one
🎥 Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One
Thanks, the lack of the camera emoji was bothering me
Yeah sorry. Just noticed lol
Love Fallout the most but this movie takes the second spot in the franchise for me
Same
Fallout is a very very high bar to reach tho, but I'm glad this one continued the quality streak
Yeah, Cruise gonna be more adamant with release dates with the next one
Well Top Gun Maverick came out in May and that made over a billion dollars worldwide
1.4 billion
Yes and how is that relevant to my comment?
Didn’t too gun had a quite bit of a competition last year
Yes, Top a gun had to go against Minions and Thor for the summer
The thing is that no one could’ve ever predicted the Barbenheimer combo
Digital release on the 10 th OCTOBER
i can't wait to see it again
if the movie release the in previous month or after the 1 month of the barbenheimer this movie could reach the 800 Million easily
it will get the IMAX screen for 1 month at least
It was just bad time
I think Paramount and/or Tom had no idea just how big Barbenheimer would become
Yep
Even though Tom did send a peace offering on Twitter, something tells me he's a little jealous
That was clearly damage control
So it was basically just a PR stunt
It should have come out in June, a month after it would have come out during the strike, and not having Tom Cruise to promote his own movie would have been very disappointing tbh
I'm so excited for the digital release tho
Yeah like almost definitely lol
I'm surprised he has a PR team but I guess he couldn't take any chances following the couch jump
just a week left
Gonna try and watch this tonight
Yep movie should come out around now or maybe a few weeks ago
ok watching now
Rebecca Ferguson with an eye patch and sniper rifle is my dream
so far great start, although why they introduced that Ethan origin story i guess i will found out
my wife fr fr
oh shit riddles i hate that
If you are justice, please do not lie
😂
did not expected to see Ethan driving a fiat 500 topolino
good shit
oh so Gabriel is why they introduced that origin story for Ethan i see
becasue she can't wink. 😄 I saw it in an interview that she couldn't hold one eye closed, hence the eyepatch.
I'm still not convinced they did.
oh i am still watching... i hope they leave it more ambiguous at the end i still have like 40 minutes left
Don't remind me that 🥺
Btw this is a cool little detail
cool easter egg in LB while posting my review
i was like WTF is this lol
"your review will self destruct" oh no Tom Cruise read my review and he is angry!

Oh yeah, it happens with every MI movie I think
It's so cool but the first time I got it I almost had a heart attack lol
https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSNLUpvEV/ love this
We need to get Tom to do this type of sketches again
Not even Tom's best stunt double imo
I’m sorry
Haha yeah
4 more days
Based
You in?
#MissionImpossible — Dead Reckoning Part One comes home on Digital TOMORROW!
@snow abyss when will it hit paramount+?
It's almost here!!
In 2 weeks max they will release in the Digital
Finally
Rewatching and I forgot how fucking amazing Cary Elwes is in this
Absolutely
rebecca fergusson officially the most respected actress in the franchise
To be fair it's not like she has much competition
correct
I think every franchise should have Rebecca Ferguson
the fight between the ethan and Paris is intense
i hope she is alive for the part 2
very valid point.
we dont have enough Rebecca Ferguson.
we need more.
She's named Paris and speaks spanish jk jk
Im getting on blu ray
I wanna get it in blu ray too
it gets worse
Dead Reckoning part 4
First Dune 2 now this, they wanna take Rebecca Ferguson away from us 😪
The lord hates real movies
is this why god-haters exist? pretty solid reason imo.
If god came down here and cancels MI8 I might actually just become one
I love her as an actress she’s really underrated
I love her
wtf part 1 is clearly half a movie... that is the reason why next was going to be call part 2... how they gonna call it now?
It's because Paramount is being stupid
Paramount be smart= Mission not possible.
Studio execs try not to be stupid challenge (impossible)
Well this isn't mission difficult, mr. executive, it's mission impossible
Dude what happens to the physical media I ordered?
Like they'd have to recall those and reprint them right unless this was something they planned earlier
i doubt they'd planned this earlier
man only if they hadnt called it "Dead Reckoning Part 1"
But like, the movie itself is a part 1
It can work as a self contained story but it literally ends on a cliffhanger
What they did with Rogue Nation and Fallout doesn't apply for these movies because these two are directly linked to each other
Plus the story was filmed and budgeted as a two parter
God i'm angry
i mean is not just the cliffhanger part 1 is half a movie in all aspects changing the name from part 2 is actually the dumbest thing i heard lately lmao
lets hope someone in Paramount still has some brain cells working

Their marketing department is still high on cocaine, I'm afraid
DAMIEEENNNN!!!
Tom Cruise might as well have the last brain cell working
Babylon and its consequences
He's got one hell of a stash
Maybe the next movie will make more money hopefully
It will get three weeks of imax, hopefully it will be fine
Unless Barbie 2 drops that same week
barbie 2 and oppenheimer 2. and dead reckoning 2.
After graduating I will nepotism my way to the Paramount marketing department so at least one person will have working brain cells
Lmaoooo please do

Honest Trailers | Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Pt. 1
Voice Narration: Jon B...
The image they chose for the thumbnail is art
great film
Indeed
i really like the score specifically in this one as well
Lorne Balfe really gave his all with the score
yep
mission impossible 2
The Mummy
for a long time he was on top not cuz of his incredible charisma but because of how consistent he was in the 80s and 90s his weakest movie was Cocktail, of course that change after the 2000s more so after the 2010s
yeah exactly

sucks ass
Days Of Thunder is also pretty bad but it's his chemistry with Nicole that saves the movie (and Hans Zimmer)
Lemme check my Tom tag on LB lmaooo
wow i actually kinda agree only that in my case Days of Thunder would be 3.5 and Top Gun (old one) would be 3.0
i like it more than Top Gun tbh
There's a severe lack of 80s Tom in my list, I should watch more of those
i recommend lots of 80s Tom Cruise

3s are bad?
Yeah 3 is not a bad score for me but it means it's entering mediocre territory lol
Gotta love Penelope Cruz
war of the worlds was actually kinda good imo
That was my first Martin Scorsese
Damn
I'm curious, which on is your highest rated?
Quite a bit
Jerry Maguire in the top 3 we love to see it
Didn't he describe his role as Lestat as vampire bitch or something like that? Lmao
Wait lemme look that up
Jerry Maguire is so freaking good, love that move
One of his most iconic roles imo, man overshadowed Brad Pitt who I always think is the better actor between the two of them but not this time
Rumor is that they didn't quite like each other during filming
i seen all of those 44 except 3 hehee... its not our fault tho Tom is a consistent mofo
Well, since they dislike each other apparently, why not Tony Stark and Cap America
Someone on Twitter said that Brad should be a villain in the next Mission Imposible just for the laughs lol
No need to act as well
Jackie Cogan just kills the shit out of Ethan and the end roll credits lmao
"pay me my money"

Fuck you, pay me
Jack Conrad vs. Ethan Hunt
Ethan Hunt Vs Cliff Booth
Will the krill vs. Ethan Hunt
I feel like Brad should be like a minor ally to Team Hunt who provides them with help during a few scenes
But a villain would be cool
Luther says: "I know someone who can help us"
Next scene Brad walks in, everyone stares in awe
minor ally not gonna work i feel both Cruise and Pitt have huge egos probably... they never gonna collab again but if they do... they should have almost equal weight or else it would be a hellish production
lmao
How come?
its very common thing that big stars don't like each other
its a competitive industry
and big names comes with big egos
Wasn’t that also like 30 years ago
Maybe they might like each other in another film together if they did
I read somewhere that they also had beef because Brad thought Valkirie was a bit similar to Inglorious Bastards
Who knows, maybe their beef has simmered down in recent year, since Tom is now all about loving movies and stuff
Bullet Train sequel with Tom...
I wonder if Tom watched Babylon
he should have...if not we gonna make him watch
😅
Me showing up to Tom's house with a physical copy of Babylon in hand
lol
Based
Okay but he’s looking gooood, rocked it well.
Also loved that scene in the movie. Hilarious
Agree lol
Oh yay, Chris is getting more work

Christopher McQuarrie will be involved in ‘SICARIO 3’ in some capacity.
(Source: https://collider.com/sicario-3-christopher-mcquarrie-taylor-sheridan-producer-comments/)
Sicario 3 Lets GOOOOOOOOOO
Dead Reckoning Abu Dhabi airport sequence lives rent free inside my head
Awww that's nice
So cool
That’s crazy
Dark Brandon strikes again
This is very funny idk how to explain it
"President Biden will have to wait until summer 2025 to see Paramount’s follow-up to “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One,” as the film has been delayed a year from its original date of June 28, 2024" LMAOOOO
Same
my fav 4 stars movies this year
hot take: the train sequence was better than the mountain one
As in the helicopter sequence from Fallout?
The Fiat sequence was better than the train and the mountain one
Also god this goes so hard
The best stunt in the franchise is the Burj Khalifa one because of how much it makes me die inside 👍
Thought it was good, but Fallout is still the best
Agreed
Yeah
Unpopular opinion: Mission Impossible II is good
Keep it unpopular.
😔
It's good because of John Woo
That's really cool
