read lots of proofs and practise writing proofs. whenever you say something is "obvious", make sure you actually can fill out the details on your own if someone forced you to.

when you do proof exercises, show them to a friend and ask them to critique it as harshly as possible. ask them to find any and every possible hole in the argument they can find.

and do the same for their proofs.

do the same when you see proofs in lectures or in books

after all, a proof is simply a convincing argument that's logically sound. if there is someone you can't convince, you need to work on that to patch up your proof.

someone asked how you proved a function is repeated(Iterated), I suggested without thinking too much on the idea that you might be able to do an induction proof.

is f(x)=f(x+n) for lets say n=1, you might then be able to prove that its true for all n for all arbitrary x

someone later pointed out induction proofs are only for natural numbers, but n might be for example 2pi as in sin function. I said you might be able to rewrite the idea as

f(x+n/y), where 1/y=2pi, 2/y=4pi, etc

guys, I started reading Mathematics Form and Function by Saunders Mac Lane because I want to have a hobby project where I learn math from the ground up. I have some experience with early university maths from my studies, altough i never really understood it on a deep level.

Felt like reading chapter 1 took me soo long in order to fully grasp everything. Took me like 6 hours of complete focus to be satisfied with my understanding of it. Its the FIRST chapter.
