Any way I can find people to make projects with?
Reddit maybe?
how so
post a thread in Reddit. Explain what your project is about. Ask if anyone is interested, DM you. Etc etc
Oooo that's fair
but isn't there like
a less serious way to find one
this is for like actually something you've had plans for
wdym less serious? Reddit is kinda anonymous and kinda casual
Yeah probably. I have no idea what good subs there are. Been awhile I've been to Reddit
Another way would be to join local meetups and tell people about your project
Oooo that's also something ig
Network around and ask if they wanna join you in your journey to become pirate king coding project
( ๐ ) there aren't many people around ig. Unless I get into university in a couple of months
isn't there a better way for an introvert like me?
(ignore reddit)
whats the project about?
is it about creating a multi billion dollar company?
It dependsโข๏ธ on the meetup.com groups if they host online events or in-person.
Nah just something like a game
Or a GUI or smth
u dont know how to make a gui app?
It's always easier and more fun with others
I'm not HIRING anybody
why would they DM themselves?
i was eating scrambled egg when I realized I was eating a baby chicken
idk it ruined the experience
first boiled eggs, now eggs in general
well i'm not vegan
are you gonna realize vegetables are fertilized by fecal matter or something..?
unless it's fertilized, it's not baby chicken. Unless it's stuff like Trung vit lon
oh well
um
it's still a chicken's baby
balut
it's not a chicken's baby if it's not fertilized
bro needs a biology class
boiled unhatched baby duck
my family used to have a chicken that laid eggs
humans are carnivores omnivores so i'm not that weirded out
if we didn't get to the egg first, it just eats the egg
i'm not for the biological details
so chickens will eat eggs too
it's still, in some way, a chicken's child
bro it's not a detail
skill issue
it's not a chicken's child in any way. It's just plain wrong and uneducated
๐ญ
cope
so a chicken just doesn't care about an egg it hatched
this is completely unrelated
lil bro needs to talk to his parent about the bees and the flowers talk
there's no reason a chicken would care for an unfertilized egg
the chickens (period) talk
among other things
Fertilizing a chicken is an implementation detail
implementation detail ๐ญ
an egg containing a chicken** is an implementation detail
it's in the latest patch of fertilieggโข๏ธ
vs eggโข๏ธ

Needs more business
Make it all black, add thinkpad, u will get 10/10 then (forgive my frivolous gaming mouse)
you'd probably be surprised at some of the desks of my coworkers
not much business going on if you're just looking at their desks
Lol. I'm totally joking as well. I don't use that setup for more than five minutes at a time sometimes it would hurt me.
It's split off of my HTPC/ TV setup with a mirrored screen
and my thinkpad is at a bit of a standing setup I just moved it there for the meme.
Well, this looks more like a proper programming setup. I use mine for both programming and games
yo, this is basically my setup, except I use the laptop as the computer and its backlight broke so now I can't use it as a secondary monitor either ๐
do you have an external keyboard?
yes
not too bad then i suppose
nah, it's completely fine, as I said, basically the same setup, it would be quite literally the same if there was any point in having the laptop open
(well, it's not completely fine, I still want my 64GB of RAM and stuff...)
(but like it's a thinkpad and all)
๐ค๐๏ธ
I did this standing desk hybrid with my HP laptop and a free desk I found
no, it's just what I want, lol
I have a T460
and I mean, I don't want it on the thinkpad, I just want a computer with more rammmm
idk where i pulled 430
since when does this interface exist
interesting
Speaking of thinkpads, I made this art installation of thinkpads in my kitchen lmao
The ones at the bottom don't work and I swap parts off em
Err one might actually work dunno
why do you have so much stuff
and here my boxed game collection
Lastly my stereo system, and this is nearly everything I own
Honestly I've had much of my things since another lifetime ago. I just try to keep my stuff running for a long time now and hope what I have will last me
hope my legs don't fail me and my equipment! I better get busy now.
Ah fuck. I feel screwed.
what did you do?
Just need to finish this thing I'm working on as soon as possible imma fight like hell to do it today
I actually think I'm gonna do it today this time!!!!
I'm so excited to do my other easy tasks after this ๐

i never really liked anime but this was an exception
kakegurui was awesome
Oh, I really liked this one as well. Season 1 was much better than the last season of the series. Twins was also alright.
yep
i have a new take
who
normally i wouldn't say this as i'm a microsoft fan BUT
java is fun with project lombok
asked
god damn it psvm
ok tbh, lombok is alright in moderation
some things are too magic, some things are ok
my issue with it is that it takes special editor/ide support
what do people usually mean when they say "magic" when it comes to programming? like people say "React.js has a lot of magic", does this mean that the framework abstracts away too much stuff and it becomes confusing?
it's not really well defined, and usually "magic" goes away when you learn about how it actually works. so maybe that's a good definition: something cool that happens that you don't understand ๐ฉ
Thank you thank you
basically equivalent to the definition of "magic" in other contexts ๐ฉ
lol yeah that makes sense
it might be more than just something you don't understand though, like stuff like dependency injection frameworks in java
many are heavily reflection based and are very hard to reason about as they could do anything
then you have other frameworks that just generates some regular java code, less magic
I guess for a python example, pytest
"magic" means behavior that is difficult to reason about.
For instance, Spring isn't considered as magic because it has a well defined behavior that one can reason about. Specifically if you have multiple candidates for an injection, it will fail fast and list which candidates it has and complain about it. An equivalent magic behavior would be to pick one either randomly or based on some lexicographically order. That would make the behavior of the app inconsistent and hard to reason about since anyone creating a class could break something without being made aware of it
Another example of magic was spring boot in its early days. It would activate some stuff based on which jar was on the classpath. So you could have one of your dependency activating or breaking some features without your knowledge.
They have improved a lot in that regard now though
I see, thank you!
I really hope I can send funny image here
That's not a python

I haven't looked this up yet, but I'm guessing it is a cube rule discussion
Either that or what constitutes soup
Heating water in the microwave is soup
soup is not defined by it's heating method
Don't microwaves excite water into moving around quickly? What else would you heat up in a microwave if not soup?
I've got to go out to celebrate my brother and I's birthdays and I'm quite sore between my shoulders. Just laying here on the heater pad for now.
Fuck it's time to go already ๐
If you think I am putting a paper cup on the stoveโฆ.what are you smoking and can I have some?
The microwave is best for heating soup, just set it to 50% power and add an extra two and a half minutes.
Although that involves reading the instructions, and I have never met anyone who ever did that.
What kind of soup comes in a paper cup
Every kind. Are you telling me youโve never been to a supermarket?
No soup comes in paper cups
And you dont have to be this sarcastic when youre wrong
Its all canned or plastic
Youre supposed to empty it in a pot
Thatโs a lot of words for โno I havenโtโ
We talking open and heat soup? Or dry, add boiling water soup?
Whole Foods, you get soup in a paper container and put it in the fridge. Market basket, get it in a paper tub and reheat later. Hannaford, same thing.
No one in their right mind puts that on a stove.
depends on the quantity for me
any more than one serving and it's going on the stove
Besides itโs all irrelevant, we all know the best soup is the โwhatever you have in your pantry just boil the fuck out of it and serveโ kind
Today: leftover fish heads and turkey bones, plus veggies and beans. Season with msg and ghost peppers so you can actually taste something at all.
Approx 1.90 per serving at local shop prices

the builder pattern is awesome.
The problem here is not the pattern but it's building russian dolls
i said "this" builder API :P

same idea there
im currently extracting the builders into their own variables

java is unexpectedly starting to become my favorite language
(angrily)
it's so calm and boring
just like meditation
and listening to mommy asmr
And that.. makes it your favorite?
yes
Boring as in... a good kind of uneventful maybe.
i initially refused java because of the package management but it's not that bad once i tried it
Why don't you use Microsoft java
Correct, I read it from you
NOOO ๐ญ
... the sky hopefully?
Nice talk
the best part about java being my favorite is that we're learning it for 10th grade
Get ready to hate it then, very much doubt school will teach good java
... why hate?
that's true
School comp sci is all about playing games and using copilot
I would very much advice against using AI for school
You don't learn anything from it
but what if it's for my physics engine ๐ญ
I can't be bothered to do maths in high school computer science can I
my teacher in the programming club even said "you can use blackbox AI"
(but i doubt she'll allow it in actual class)
If you don't actually learn anything it will come back to bite you in the exams
The ones at the end of the year?
wha-
writing code on paper is fine
because last year we had to write HTML and CSS on paper
I do it when bored in english
but not Java, there's too much boilerplate

Different school systems so what I am talking about might not apply at all to you guys xD

hello
do you ever wonder how technological unemployment is blamed on technology and not employers
bro dropped the most profound and thoughtful line and proceeded to immediately start posting memes
what a chad
no I do not
Actually I think thatโs a perch
Capitalism moment
Is the race to the bottom just the way of the world or is it employers?
I think it's the former. Was it employer's fault when people who dig up guano for fertilizer replaced by new fertilizer technology?
If you get thrashed by life that's on you, bad things were always gonna happen in your life, they've been coming since u were born
Not saying its right, how the world works, but that's how i see things. If I had my way there'd be more compassion and empathy
if you had your way, all the people that are more successful than you would die :P
it might if I was thinking about it
technological isn't linked to race to the bottom
it's like linking cars as the technological race to the bottom because of the decline of blacksmiths
yeah sorrow doesn't link much together
Maybe not everyone more successful than me, but at least eat the rich
Send the billionaires into poverty for a year, teach them what it's like
Hm? If we have mcdonalds for an example- say the workers are costing them a lot of money and they're also imperfect. Wouldn't replacing these employees with technology be part of the race to the bottom?
But maybe my first example wasn't too strong.
and what i assume everyone is talking about is being replaced by nocode or AI solutions, and why not, why would we want to pay $100k+ for people to make software.
One could argue its both employers and the world who enact such a change.
So back to your example of cars- we see that a horse is a liability and expense, where a car replaces them more reliably. My point being in all this is we are all expendable.
And I think the moment that we can be replaced, we will. Is that the employers or the nature of humanity?
Cc @young shoal
Not only expendable but would go so far to say there's a target on our backs.
I find it strange to say that technology isn't related to the race to the bottom, as if that hasn't been the driving force of replacing expendable workers for 200 years. No a blacksmith wasn't replaced by a car, but maybe a factory.
I think the problems of society in general is that everyone is expendable and only worth what they can give. That's what I mean by the world needs more empathy and compassion
I feel like that's all my life boils down to- what can I give to society, and inversely, what does society do? It just takes
If a person like me doesn't believe in any real meaning to anything that happens, then all I have is what I can give to humanity.
So in that respect I guess it's fine that all society does is ruthlessly go after the bottom line, its all we know.
I'd be fine to work my whole life to make a small change to something. Even if it's thankless, fuck it, I'll be dead.
But best case scenario, maybe I have my name on a book or something, and things i did and how my life was help somebody. Better than senseless
If all else fails and I'm no good at programming and trying to get rich, hopefully it was at least interesting and had a unique perspective on things. Maybe those aspects would make me not be expendable in a new world.
What about the new jobs created by technology in the USA because they were able to bring the cost down comparing to doing it overseas? But then, is it a race to the bottom affecting outsourced jobs? ๐ค
So then, would you want to blame the employers for using cars and not sticking to horses?
What good does a new job using technology on the other side of the world do the person who had their livelihood taken away?
What good does one new high level job managing the AI do for the rest of the programmers who are replaced?
What is the solution for expendable people? Drive a car taxi rather than a horse drawn one I suppose. I guess that's one example of things not turning out too poorly for all involved.
Would I blame employers, no, that's just society in general like I said. The bottom line permeates every fiber of our daily lives.
Put a mom and pop shop out of business in favor of Walmart to save 50 cents here and there
This is an interconnected world where the changes in one side have a lot of impact on another. So it comes down to what you are optimizing for
Upskill yourself and adapt to the world
how are technological advances considered a race to the bottom? This is a positive impact on society
How is nuclear energy a race to the bottom comparing to burning coal?
and you create tons of jobs since it will generate more value and create new jobs
I don't wanna be expendable
how much am I gonna have to change in one lifetime ๐
think about how much things have changed in a life time. The moon landing was only in 1969
there was no smartphone, and no Internet as we know it today
Yeah, feels like people used to be able to carve out a niche they could pass on to their kids, and now things are just accelerating
We could be hunter gatherers for 100,000+ years
That part feels disheartening.
you can still do that. Like in some remote areas of alaska
Yeah if my muscles didn't hurt things would be different maybe.
I feel a bit like a piece of trash that would've been thrown away

it's apparently the highest-grossing R-rated film
disney's highest-grossing R-rated film*
It also became Disneyโs highest-grossing R-rated release, surpassing 1990โs Pretty Woman.
The film's first Monday in theaters became the highest grossing at the box office for any R-rated film, making $24.4 million. The following day broke another record, this time for the highest grossing R-rated film at the box office on a Tuesday, at $25.3 million.
wait, are these records per day?
like, highest-grossing on a Tuesday

that's weird

Ehh, use HMC
Argenti and Tingyune doesn't really fit in with firefly
- Guoba Certified
~62% of firefly damage come from Trailblazer's super break damage
Firefly doesn't need Tingyune energy, too
Well, not really
I mean, if she kill enough enemies, she can use 1 skill then ult
But sometimes you'll need 2 skill to ult
Realistically, Firefly is built to be very fast, so it doesn't matter that much
Also, this team might run out of skill point
Assuming you have E0 firefly
It cycles fine
And harmony main character sucks we've been over this
I will not use her ๐คฃ

At least try replace Argenti with Hunt March, Firefly does work with March
But it's is nowhere near her optimal team
(you're losing out of 62% of Firefly's personal damage)
Hunt March is fun, for sure
(I believe imaginary mc is fun, just because he/she allowed a new type of DPS)
I haven't unlocked her yet. I'm grinding for traces and TB60 right now before I start the new ex
But I'll definitely try her
She'll probably go in a different team though
I dunno we'll see how it goes
I'm liking this lineup right now but I have a few sets of planned teams
Although she can hyper carry, she is better off as a second dps
Do you not run out of skill point?
Unless your firefly is really slow, you might run out of skill point
Unless you have E1 ofc
But yeah, I was trying out Xuyei, March (hunt), Sparkle, Gallagher
Yeah, firefly + HMC is unbeatable (you should try it out sometime)
I have
It was forced on me for the last boss fight 'rember?
I hate HMC. Her animations are like discount store Aventurine
Sure it's powerful
But it's boring and ugly lol
๐ญ I like hmc
Do you understand super break tho?
Cause he/she doesn't only give break effect buff
She is a new mechanic entirely
She is the only character to enable super break (firefly's own super break is weaker)
I understand not liking her animation, but I can't agree with her being not fun
Yes we've been over this
You wrote an entire essay and then apologized for trying to make me play your way ๐คฃ
Sadly, history seems to repeat itself
Sorry

Hahaha it's fine
I appreciate your input either way
It's kinda fun to push your buttons cause of my play-for-fun-not-stats style
so you're toxic
Oh please
There's a difference between friendly button pushing over a video game and actually being toxic
is it bad?
there are so many startups with a name that is an english word ending in "er" but without the e
because it sounds coolr, of course /s
not as cool as ending with ai
if you know a bit of C, this will be much easier to explain.
so, like i was saying, at a high level, there are two main regions of memory. the stack is the only one we really need to care about for now
take this simple C code. all it does is declare an integer.
int main() {
int x;
return 0;
}
if im interpreting your overall confusion correctly, you'd be wondering how C "knows" where the x starts in memory, and where it stops?
(along those lines)
that too, but also on a borader scale how the operating system can even manage to later learn what's stored on the disk
here for this program the binary will "maintain and manage" the 64 bits of integer it has here somewhere, but how?
alright. all in due time (i cant tell you about the disk thing except at a very high level)
but for the rest
so, do you know what the stack is?
i have a high level idea of it
i expect a stack data structure in memory type-thing
that is pretty much what it is.
so essentially, for now, you'll have to take this as an axiom:
that is, the operating system has a way of assigning a region of memory to a program
(for now)
that i believe could be done with 2 pointers for the start and end of a parition or assigned memory space
lets continue
ill try to follow your explanation
close, yeah
essentially, your CPU has registers.
which are small areas of memory inside the CPU where it stores small bits of information
i dont know what to make of it for now
good to know i guess
theyre important. the main one that we care about though, is the "stack pointer" register.
theyre below the pins area right? the registers i mean
the actual location of the registers is cpu dependent and i honestly couldnt tell you that much, but its not really important.
do we know the estimates in memory size in the stack register?
no, but it's similar to what you described-- when the program starts, your operating system fills that register with the start of the region of memory that it determined the programs should use.
put simply, whenever your program starts, it knows the location of the first byte of memory that the operating system assigned it.
and that location is stored in the "stack pointer register."
memory in the RAM only, or in the disk too?
in RAM
you following so far, though?
ive follow ups but i think i should follow you for now
yes
cool cool
so, back to that C program
int main() {
int x;
return 0;
}
all we have is this little declaration of a variable called x.
so, you asked how it knows where it starts: it's shrimple.
in order to "create" the memory that x stores, you simply add x's size in bytes to the stack pointer.
yes
the int type has a size that is known when the program is being compiled
yes
int randInt() {
int x;
return x;
}
My fav random int generator. >:)
so when the program is being compiled, the compiler will output machine code that increments the stack pointer by that size.
the same happens when you do long y, or short z, etc, just with different sizes
unsigned long long best type.
return 4
you said the program gets in the "stack pointer" register only the beginning RAM address to start executing from, not that it has a fixed size to execute from that point onwards
is it that way?
the stack does have a maximum size. most programs just doesnt take it into consideration.
most programs quite literally just assume they have enough stack space to store variables and such
as in the stack has the start address + max length to go from it size?
more or less, yeah.
your program just doesnt have immediate access to the size of its stack.
segmentation faults prone?
doesnt really make sense
actually not really. 99.99% of the time, you have more than enough stack space.
well clearly my old laptop didnt
well maybe the programs over-demanded space so that's why it was 100% and there were no collisons
just memory inefficient i guess?
you might be confusing stack with the other region of memory your computer gives your program.
alongside the stack, which does have a fixed size, your OS will also give your program access to a much larger region of memory (usually called 'the heap') which, theoretically, will have as much space as memory you have on your computer.
most programs only have a 1MB to 8MB sized stack by default depending on the OS.
but the heap size is theoretically as big as you have memory on your computer
well that doesnt make sense, where's the heap stored? does it overwrite my disk?
oh i have to go
sorry
ah alright, no problem lol
ty for your help mate
no problem. if you have any questions later / want to continue feel free to ping me here and ill answer when i get the chance.
i should probably sleep now though
crazy
that's just that phenomenon when you write out your problem and the solution shows in the statement
This sounds suspiciously similar to rubber duck debugging
unfortunately, it can be dumber than the duck sometimes
but when it's dumb as duck, it works nice
Someone should stuff chatgpt into a rubber duck
We have chatgpt in pretty much everywhere
Now we need a waterproof rubber duck chatgpt

Usually you have conversations with 1 or more other person(s)
some of us prefer to go with less
Respectable
i'd have conversation with -1 people atmost
npm moment

node js <3333333333

is-number was the only depenedency
soemtimes i want to install a simple script via npm and then i look at the bundle size and its like 50kb for what is basically just a 1 file script i didnt want to write myself
also notice it was merged.
it's all node's fault
It's better than the alternative where you had to install a browser plugin (java, flash, silverlight, etc) in order to use a website.
No, node just took what was awful and made it work more places so it could spread its typefaced fecal matter around
i get so much JS hate that i only accept JS hate from people who have shipped a JS app to production
Good news
need to filter the hate into more useable hateful opinions
I technically qualify for that
I don't get the opportunity to hate JS because I use TS instead, which hides all the awfulness.
TS is just a vs code plugin
It hides like 5% of the awfulness
So?
it hides like 70% of it in my case
You mean you don't use --strict?
i have to unit test some completely untyped lambdas at work
that shit SUCKS
unreadable shit
written by morons
const fun = (xs) => {
xs.map(x => mutateTheShitOutOf(x))
return xs;
}
untyped lambdas
Sounds like you're using implicitany
found this masterpiece in prod the other day
dude
those are .js files
not .ts files
and no theres no JS doc
/** @type {<T>(xs: T[]) => T[]} */
const fun = (xs) => {
//
}
I think that's right
famine, war, bad dog owners, any
sins only humans commit
Thank god i only have to write jquery
You could also make a .d.ts file for your js files
not touching the damn code
whoever shipped that to prod can deal with it
not cleaning up after them
Ever heard of a @types/package package?
the team lead can shovel his own damn dogs shit out of this code base
im just gonna write my tests and leave
tho whats that

A package that provides types
if package doesn't provide types via .d.ts files, you can install a @types/package package that does
i.e. @types/node
you can make one for that package
i dont work on that code enough to warrant making such a thing but if i ever add to it, im def gonna type it
You can also put this in your own codebase. ```ts
// package.d.ts
declare module "package" {
interface Foo {
}
const foo: Foo
export default foo
}
when you import foo from "package", it will import that .d.ts file
never seen that module syntax before

but ive also never used .d.ts extensively before
i do have a couple idiot co workers who use it for TS code tho
its a bad idea
yes, don't put your own typescript type definitions in a .d.ts file. Tsc won't typecheck it
What?
and a large issue for huge problems
projects*
sorry i genuinely dont know how i make these typos

lame
First tractor beams, now this
It says C is unsafe, but python is safe. But python is written in C, so is python unsafe?
oops my apologies
Yes ofc, it isn't rust
what about pyoxide?
sodium is explosive on contact with water. chlorine is highly toxic. is sodium chloride either explosive or toxic?
Everything is toxic if you eat enough of it
What's the LD50 of python,

so, latin.
Disco means learn and inferno means hell
put them together?
disco inferno means "I'm going to hell"
Skibidi ohio gyatt fanum tax
What form of latin is that?
I think it's just a form of gibberish that was given meaning, like Buffalo bufallo buffalo Buffalo bufallo buffallo
isn't all language a form of gibberish that was given meaning
.wiki Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo
Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo
"Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo" is a grammatically correct sentence in English that is often presented as an example
Buffalo
Look up Buffalo, buffalo, buffaloe, buffaloes, or buffalos in Wiktionary, the free dictionary. Buffalo most commonly refers to: True buffalo or Bubalina
bubalina
bubalina bubalina bubalina bubalina bubalina bubalina
I have defined this gibberish as a recursive reference to the same gibberish
gross

this goes hard
Not python related so I thought Iโd ask here in off topicโฆ.
Anyone know of a good site that will host a couple html pages (including css and images) for free? I donโt need any kind of backend support at the moment. Just want the static pages to be accessible.
github pages is one
repl.it is another but it's not exactly reliable
I thought GitHub only let you do one page?
Ideally I just want to slap about 4 or 5 pages up
just instead of redirecting to different endpoints recreate the html
JS is the devil ๐
I don't disagree but sometimes you gotta make deals with the devil to get your bag
Fair
just make sure if you do that, you won't be reflecting any user controlled input into the pages
can gh pages even use js actually
idk
Time to ask chatgpt how to do that I guess
๐ making another deal with another devil I see
My username would suggest Iโm no stranger to that activity ๐
Iโm about to write code so optimized and so efficient and so sensible that people will accuse me of being trans
does it?
it should allow multiple
i mean how else would static work ๐ค
just try multiple
A single static page can exist standalone, why would you need multiple?
i meant js/css/image files
Resources you grab from don't have to exist on the same website to be retrieved, so images and common js files can be imported as cross origin resources. And all of those can be inlined into the html if needed.
https://xpipe.io/ i found a neat tool
it supports browsing by file tree and drag and drop which is handy for things like docker containers when i dont want to install a file manager
i used to use mobaxterm but that shit ugly
last step: Get enough money to make more than 1 private server.
i use this for work and virtual machines sooooooooooooo
bro i added new features in my jarvis
Now it can tell me the time, read PDFs, shut down/restart the system, open someone's Instagram profile, download their profile picture, take a screenshot
and all on my voice command

it can even send whatsapp msgs
damn, i like it when i dont have to use my fingers

@round pendant have you ever read crafting interpreters?
yeah a bit, i havent really learned anything from it, i already understood the stuff when i tried reading it. i think its not that complicated, you just need to spend a bunch of time on it
yeah, same. do you have any recommendations for a book or resource i could check out that is similar to crafting interpreters? iโd like to explore language design more in depth
yes, but why if you can host them on gh pages?
I haven't read it yet, but making a interpreter in go (or something similar) is really good
Personally followed the book and reimplemented it in rust
Haven't finished it yet tho

hello
would anyone here have about 10 mins or less and knows java?
i just have a couple of questions
Don't ask to ask, just ask.
If someone knows the answer they'll reply in their time, otherwise many people can point you in the right direction
the right direction is to your right btw
Hi, sorry to interrupt I just have an off topic maths questions if anyone is good at maths?
I have a deviceโฆ
Battery lasts 90 mins
Charge time is 240 mins (4 Hours)
Does this mean I need to charge for 2.66 mins in order to get 1 min use time?
it means you should either change the battery or get a new phone
but yes
almost, should round to 7:
2.67
Thank you
Also itโs not a phone itโs a random other device
Iโm getting iPhone 16 when it comes out though. Android is better, but like most people Iโm still gonna buy an iPhone ๐

@dim pivot I am running Argenti/Hanya/Tingyun/Houhou for my second party now. I took your advice, and running one of the recommended/meta builds. Got EL5 today and levelling everyone to 80 rn
also 10 more pulls and I should have Yunli, she's goated with the sauce tbh she has that skibidi rizz from ohio
not a turn of phrase I expected for someone lamenting about today's generation
all of that is old slang by now, things move very fast today
I say it ironically
That's how it always starts
Before you know it you're 40 and you keep saying it
Especially because I work with a bunch of younger folks
And it causes them physical pain when I say it
Oh ok that's a good reason
My friends and I just use the same shit we've been using for well over a decade at this point
We communicate in rage comics and image macros
lol
Which for the uninitiated in chat, is what we called memes before they were called memes.
back in my day
<insert insanity wolf here>
I have painful subterranean zit forming near my lip, time to put some toothpaste on there
The toothpaste always works to make it turn into a poppable zit ๐
Internet memes by the name predated rage comics by a considerable period.
There may have been other, less notable examples, but perhaps the foremost early on was the cheeseburger cat.
i can haz
The one that can haz cheeseburger?
But let's see what a search turns up.
Not earliest.
proto-memes ๐ฅด
The zit has that icy toothpaste feeling, that's how u know it's working
She's a doozy
wasn't it that weird dancing baby thing that's considered the first big internet meme
What about "all your base are belong to us"
I have no idea what year that's from ๐
Starcraft.
So...mid to late 90s.
Reminds me of guardians of the galaxy boomer movie
It's good music.
Yh it's ight
I'm not big on the whole easy listening genre lol
My rule is: if you can't blast this on the stereo then don't listen to it
Sometimes stuff sounds okay in your headphones and the stereo is the ultimate litmus test
I made around 300 hours worth of playlists this way
Definitely need to revise some, I don't think there's four hours worth of good AC/DC songs vs 90 minutes of Van Halen for example ๐
And after listening to a playlist a lot of times sometimes the lyrics or something irk me and I remove it
Actually, it looks like a good team!
Yay!
I know you'll come around and obey the meta god /j
What on earth is this
She's good tho
Her LC is also good
Her play style is pretty much: Use ult before attack for a strong follow up attack
never seen someone with such similar taste to me, this is good I feel like I am scrolling through my liked songs
I have never seen anyone with taste similar to mine.
We are even similar in a way that is incredibly ironic ๐
and scary
is just the way the music goes from like 2Pac and 50 cent and then to like ACDC, Anthrax and The Black Keys (never heard anyone else mention them just something I listen to because my dad loved them)
just a lot of hip hop, metal and the Minecraft OST, I have this in my Spotify liked too. Always have been a massive fan or Gorillaz too
In the past I have hit leg day listening to the Minecraft OST. That was quite an interesting session
Love Notorious Big, NWA, dre and Wu Tang too. My recommendation would be Big Pun. Still Not a Player is criminally underrated
bros not fat, just full of lyrics
You know the 50 cent song, hmm I think it's "how to rob", he said "Big Pun been robbed before that's why his ass don't wanna be a playa no more" ๐
i didn't know this ๐ญ๐ญ
Love earl sweatshirt too Doris is such a good album
not sure if its your thing but I love a bit of Danger Mouse. Sometimes I just listen to Cheat Codes on repeat
Never heard of it, makes me think of Modest Mouse ๐
I'll write it down in my backlog here
What genre is that? Electronic?
Rap/Jazz
mostly Rap
reminds me a bit of a tribe called quest and vaguely vaguely of earl
Things Fall Apart by The Roots too is such a good album. I remember being in physics with an old friend of mine and he introduced me to this album and I still listen to it today
Hmm, I have a suggestion, try listen to "the glitch mob" they have some good albums, I like most of the songs on them at least.
I listened to it in high school and still like it now
Oh and a suggestion in Jazz category
Ill take a listen
