Working title of my thesis: "On the behaviors and life-cycles of single-cell thunderstorm development in southeastern new hampshire and northeastern massachusetts"
Working on a more robust and reliable forecasting methodology for thunderstorms in that region, hopefully with a way to prevent a repeat of the Revere Beach Tornado of 2014.
doing meteorological research professionally does make one feel much better about your comments of going outside into storms: #ot2-never-nesterโs-nightmare message

Anyone worked with Deno before? The node.js alternative thing. Is there a way to install a package globally or does it have to be per project
no
no as in no nobody's worked with deno or no as in there are no global installs
yes
im very sorry for what i did
i'm very sorry for what i did
No global installs is a feature, not a bug. Enforced environments.
You can cache the dependencies if you really want to though
Are you on the VC 24*7? @deft granite
Not gonna lie, you don't seem like a hooman.
Guess it's coincidental that everytime I scroll through VC, you're on the top.
Hi
ho
why many ppl in vc
go in there and find out
ji
@vale raven TIL that python is not slow. Windows... Windows is slow.
ST has always been low on Windows and that's something that has never been a secret
ST is half oft he average python script's runtime or more
python is slow too
what is ST?
no, you're slow
Startup Time
ah okay
Windows is actively working on it, they're ripping the NT kernel inside out
my theory is that they're about to implement a version of the linux stack...which is going to be wild
It goes heckin brrrr for me. Just the first time I've done dev work in a full windows environment.
But W10->W11 I noticed about a 15% reduction in ST on most things, not just Python
Wild?
wildin
crazy, even
inb4 Windows distro for Linux
ballin
Or mint
My theory is as follows:
Windows eventually releases "Windows" using a proprietary Linux-based kernel that supports the Windows API/SDK/Runtimes but is primiarily a Linux stack and filesystem, turning Windows itself into effectively a strange proprietary distro
I heard mint is fresh
Windows ##/20XX will remain as an NT-based product alongside it
for at least 1 or 2 release cycles
that's not gonna happen
I'm not sure that won't happen
I'm sure it won't happen
it would mean rewriting literally millions of lines of code
for no real end-user benefit
They're not allowed to do this, I've spent the last two weeks trying to get my terminal setup to be as close to a linux terminal as possible.
might as well just burn a few billion $'s in the parking lot
I cannot cope with the wasted time.
... why?
average Rem L
because I really enjoy Powershell actually
PS7 is awesome
and it's all cross platform
Have you... considered just using a linux terminal?
powershell is miles better than linux shells for scripting
no swithcing between shells on different OSes, no fucking with WSL when I don't need it
I cannot use WSL =/
if that's what you want then just use linux and be done with it
I can use the same editor, same plugins, and same shell on Windows, Linux, and Macshit
I just don't like it for everyday use
Just cope harder
you're essentially saying "I want everything different to be the same"
No thanks, I like my operating system to actually look and feel decent, not be 5 years behind at best in UX, and not suffer from FOSS syndrome on every corner
not to mention software incompatbility

Can't effectively use Adobe products, play many of the games and sims I run, etc etc etc on crapux or macshit
I ran linux distros daily for over 10 years, only really stopped this last year
I feel slight disagreement in that.
Copy-Item c:\some\path\foo d:\remote\path -Recurse
over
cp -r /some/path/foo /some/target
so don't even start with "it's not so bad just try it"
I've tried it all, I've ujsed it all, I've experienced it all.
banned for heckery
My point is more that I think... I've spent a lot of time getting used to how Linux behaves and how to manipulate the operating system.
Powershell is good, and I enjoy it, but for the minutiae, it's just easier to take the time to alias everything to behave predictably.
most of these are aliased already out of the box.
Finally!
I'm thinking more along the lines of stuff like outout being objects
I use Linux daily still for the servers I admin, and they run powershell too. I know how to use bash and all the linux utilities
but they're not any better or more efficient for me than the tools I'm using in place
Ah. I like my output being pipeable text. :3c
Oh I'm not implying you don't know it or anything, I just enjoy the consistency I guess.
same here, that's why I picked something that can work on all platforms
we have the same idea, just different execution
yours is platform assimilation, mine is evnironment assimilation
And I've taken a keen enjoyment in terminal customization lately.
I essentially run my entire server within VS code
or just spin up a docker container for everything (dev containers and the like)
hes ricing his system holy shit
You use Arch...
I try to avoid terminals whenever possible, text-based input is quite clunky and dated, whenever I can use my mouse with a UI, I'm there for it

why yes I do use arch
obviously no DEs or even WMs on servers, that's silly
Oh I hate touching my mouse.
but with a nice interface frontend for SSH/SFTP like VSC, it can feel like you have a WM anyway
Yeah, some people don't like the mouse, I definitely do though
same
opinions marked and ignored

which de/wm do you use
i3
How do you work on such a small terminal?
very stable
Oh?
do you use nvidia?
I clear after almost every command I write lol
... what?
how do you work on that font?
I don't know either.
you know that makes me wonder
If I ever need to capture an output, I pipe it to a textfile.
I have 3 monitors with different refresh rates, apparently X11 does not do well with that
I kinda want to live boot a distro and see how it handles my GPU/monitor situation
Me too but CTRL + L
โฆyou need some terminal classes
6 displays, 2 GPUs, one nvidia RTX 3070 ti and one AMD Radeon RX 560
if you want to use sway
why?
oh.. oh hun...
that sounds inefficient
can we ban this guy
do you know what linus torvalds said to nvidia
I'm well aware
You got to roll with it. Like that comment about my amazing font? I just roll on by. :3c
just get AMD
I got this PC so I could play fortnite like 5 years ago
I was but a simple man back then
what do you use your PC for now?
fortnite
ditch the nvidia card then
So you spend your time making it work?
pretty much
on top of being an Arch user, he's a Neovim user

i use vim
Aren't you a neovim user, Moyen?

bat messes up highlighting sometimes and it's annoying
the syntax highlighting is incredibly helpful
oh. use bat then

sometimes it doesn't recognize the file type or something and it just guesses poorly instead of giving up

Yeah I'm an expert in breathing

I'm an expert in lame jokes
I'm an egg... does that count?
No, there are absolutely not any Python experts in the Python server
Source?
your mom
have you checked Together C/C++? Probably some Python experts over there.
are you though?
Source checks out
ok that's make sens
Yeah I've been doing it for many years
In fact since I was born
robin have you considered reviewing the PR review so the code can start working
Maybe after I get out of bed
actually i wanna learn python and i was asking about sources specially books if anyone know
well, then get out
!res general
If you're trying to learn Python, a good place to start is Automate the Boring Stuff or A Byte of Python.
The Resources page on our website contains a list of hand-selected learning resources that we regularly recommend to both beginners and experts.
What if I want to automate the interesting stuff
I only automate irratating stuff
i was wondering from the name XD
such as converting 100 flight sim liveries to work with a modification of a default plane
go into folder, go into subfolder(s), find specific xml file, change one line
x100
perfect use case for Python
Don't wonder too hard, he can't automate the interesting stuff either.
๐
ok thanks guys

@polar kestrel sorry for the ping I just wanted to show you the cool thing I made.
Can't believe you didn't use the #ot2-never-nesterโs-nightmare channel
But also, what am I looking at here?
the etched python logo?
Yes. It's actually inlaid
It... Is a fair bit rougher than I would have liked it to be..
That's super cool though!
But it turned out to be far more difficult than I bargained for to inlay on a slanted surface
also
for the tenkeyless
the shadow on your keyboard makes it look like it has a toon shader outline
Yeah I got that keyboard the other week. And then I realized the thickness meant I needed a wrist rest. So I made one
oh hahaha I didn't even realize it was a separate piece
Your desk looks quite similiar to mine but mines grain is wavy
Yeah it's separate otherwise it wouldn't fit in the travel case.
Rubber legs so it doesn't slide.
I've just got a foam wrist rest for travel
But the benefit of custom is I could make it the perfect length and height
Neat. I like that stand
I just wish I had a better stand for the 2nd monitor so they were similar height
I built a wooden stand ages ago. But it isn't portable at all
haha yeah, this one folds up real nice
I'm traveling all year so I needed to keep things light and portable
Why the bajillion miles tall keycaps
I feel my hands would cramp
Also flat mice are of the devil
I feel like it looks worse than it is in the image. I used a fisheye camera setting to fit it in
vertical mouse?
Eh, probably not vertical mice either
But i like my mice to have some more thickness to them
which mouse do you use?
nah that's too chunky for me
yeah, it sure is
I admit this one is a bit small. I had a logitech g403 before this but the mouse wheel broke eventually
this is my weapon of choice
i haven't fenced since my club closed around when covid started
fence off your fencing saber
this is actually an epee

foiled again, i see
at first i was going to ask "what's that, a box of colored crayons to snack on while coding?"
Pens in a Mug. It will catch on one day.
ah yes, english, lua, js and python, my favourite programming languages
Nah, I meant what I now understand to be the keyboard :p
wait doesnt everyone keep pens in a mug
english, mathematics, vim, lua, js, python, and english again
the source language breakdown sure is looking weird ๐
you forgot python ๐
no i haven't, you're just seeing things
understandable
Plenty of vim. Not much vigour.
oreilly js
Oh my days hsp
oh, I thought he made the keyboard
That's a pretty sword, but I prefer the yatagan sword as the most versitile yet effective sword shape => https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yatagan
The yatagan, yataghan or ataghan (from Turkish yataฤan), also called varsak, is a type of Ottoman knife or short sabre used from the mid-16th to late 19th centuries.
The yatagan was extensively used in Ottoman Turkey and in areas under immediate Ottoman influence, such as the Balkans and the Caucasus.
I can't recall the guy's name, but some french cavalry officer did a detailed study of the effectiveness of different types of swords in a variety of situations in the early 1800's and found that the yatagan won hands down.
Spatha >
the spatha (and similar swords) was well known. such double-edged broadswords are cumbersome in many situations
in addition, double edge swords tend to be heavier, more expensive to produce and takes more time to learn ot use effectively
"Practical Vim". I see the author was an optimist!
@dry raft sword talk in PyDis!
Drew Neil. He's well known in the world of vim
Ye. T'was a bit of a humor. Funnier in my head.
there are too many rules in modern fencing. participants should be allowed to grab, punch, kick, throw things, etc
Bro just wants to beat someone up
If you want to punch, why in the hecking cat are you taking fencing??
Go take boxing
walking down street
Ruff: "if you want to fence say what"
confused citizen: "sorry what?"
Ruff proceeds to fence with an unprepared, confused 16 year old and lands several charges

Lol
Just do HEMA at this point
Also if you try this in london you're probably gonna be facing armed combatants
hey, we have the same keyboard
nice
It took forever to sort through all their model options
at one point i wanted the low profile version but i think i'm glad i chose the normal version
another quick ot name. more shenanigans
maybe, maybe not
maybe ban robin first?
or doggo ||but make that permanent||

Which switches did you get?
where does "fashoomp banned rem" come from?
Because he actually did
Like it's something that happened
Not just a phrase
but where is that come from?
ppl hearing that must laughed so haed
who is banned n why?
who is rem
Well it's not my story to tell. Also I'm not sure if it's a reference to his first ban or second...
nothing
ok
he got banned, is that not funny though?
we get to laugh at him about it
Twice
this server has a huge amount of rem

that's one bad ass cat
@foggy jungle is the original
laugh at this idiot for getting banned

what a doofus
nevertheless this is still the most friendly server ive joined
It was a false ban, if you're wondering

oh so fashoomp misclicked
It's happened a few times and we always make jokes out of it
Yep

oh i didnt know that his name is rem ive always called him kernal panic
When I ordered mine they only had blue "true mechanical" switches so I went for the optical in brown.
ok
mmm i donโt remember whether i ordered mechanical or optical
He has... many names.

but nowadays there are many people named kernal panic include my wifi adaper
idk why my wifi adaper have that nane
name
just look at it
it's a special python feature

Faster alternatives to asyncio?
why?
are you using async just for performance? then use threads instead
to make asynchronous code even faster
I receive updates from Telegram bot with long polling
then use threads
sync code is slower than async no?
not really
you're not using async for its intended purpose
well it's just to not make blocking code
I thought when you have bots like discord or telegram you must use async
and why no more rust but c# lol
oh then if you're using a library that requires async, use it
I'm building this library
just thinking what is better
if i'm understanding correctly, you're building a library for polling telegram bots for updates?
yeah
it's already made just need improvement
uvloop but it's linux only + you won't really get a noticeable speedsup anyways
its called go and rust
and pypy ig
uvloop?
it's not an alternative, but it can speedup some asyncio applications.
if you mean, like, the internal parts of the event loop.
hi confused Reptile im so sorry for what i did
asyncio + uvloop can be pretty comparable to go, rust unbenchmarked so far
pypy doesn't really help with these kind of apps
didnt u just said it doesnt give noticeable speedsup anyways
for IO applications like bots, no.
they're as fast as they can be, the latency is in the client and the server
the users internet and the time the bot's api takes to respond
So if matter cannot be created or destroyed then does that mean technically we can be reborn when all our current matter is back together again
many different relgions believe in reincarnation
why would your current matter be back together again?
um, matter can be created and destroyed
watch me alpha decay away from this conversation
if there were a sigma decay i'd be doing that instead
bing chilling
I don't know if I should trust http benchmarks like plow but they perform the same way for very simple app
fashoomp banned rem???
cbanned, actually. deleted the previous hour's worth of helpful messages. about 4 days ago
laugh at this user's low message count
This is, I think, the craziest amount of effort I've put into testing something.

It liiiiives
It's a file monitor that will emit metrics on directory file count and oldest file age. It monitors a collection of directories acting as queues with files being the messages.
But more importantly, it's a fully functioning smoke test so now I can actually build and test the emittors.
Hmmm
Yes. https://github.com/Preocts/walk-watcher/pull/17 This has been my slow progress today.
Hmm. Is this kind of a data retention policy enforcement? Or for another application entirely?
The idea of having a directory as a queue is kinda' cool
The idea of a directory as a queue is a TERRIBLE idea. #legacy
That aside, this is for a friend's company who does this nonsense. They want metrics against the size of the queues, the oldest file age of a queue, and alerts against stale files.
Interesting. Data loss prevention and data retention (or really, just responsibly handling document lifecycles) is pretty fascinating to me on an enterprise scale.
I'm a terribly unorganized person at least tech wise, so my mind immediately jumped to an organizational tool to properly archive/documents at the end of their lifecycles.
Cool stuff Preocts

So tomorrow all I need to do is put in the connections to influx and confirm if dynatrace is involved or not. Thankfully I believe dynatrace also consumes standard metric lines.
The temptation/desire to write tests for this integration test.....
hnnnnn
oh.. OH.. hahahahaha boy VSCode's git integration really doesn't like a few hundred files moving/appearing/deleting every 10 seconds.
IIRC you can tune the interval at which that thing refreshes
I never have and a quick .gitignore edit fixed it. There was just an abnormally large amount of lag (even for vscode)
I'm admittedly considering jumping to VSC.
PyCharm feels a little bloated for the types of projects I'm doing, and there's some Azure integrations that I think are pretty cool.
gitignore is def the best way
I'm quickly leaning less and less on anything outside of my terminal. Feels nice.
๐ฅ
That's because you can't exit it.
Okay... math
If a file has a 10% chance of failing and that chance is re-rolled 3 times... what is the chance of a file failing all three retries?
100% with my luck
six out of seven times it happens every time.
in C make a typedef for a string without using string.h
0.01%
Is that .01%?
I had to draw out a tree, Robin cheated by using math.

Right... so I should up the failure chance if I want a hope of anything hitting deadletter.

ah, mingw used to suck to setup (still kinda sucks)
I am pretty sure what they are talking about predates msys, I too remember burning a couple hours making sense of mingw

was a while before we reconsidered it
imagine making the order wrong and returning then waiting 6 years for the right one to arrive
i have an absolutely devious idea
what if
i wrote a chat app using the Redis protocol
and you'd use redis-cli to talk
that's actually pretty straightforward
ok well im not talking about pub/sub or polling its data
that'd be too easy
actually maybe pub/sub chat app would be nice
Rip pride lol
That's what happens when your programming language uses tabs.
just get a wider monitor
which language is that?
I think itโs Rust @acoustic moss
solar sail boat
@gritty zinc plz rivil
@acoustic moss@jaunty wraith It's Haxe. The repo is https://github.com/larsiusprime/bazaarBot
haxxor
i never heard of that language before tbh
its main selling point is that it transpiles to tons of languages including compiled ones, JS, and even Flash (or something flash-like, unsure)
yeah, IIRC, it's designed for gamedev
Haxe is based on flash/actionscript
woah, blast from the past
What is the best linux distribution for pc gaming
windows
Does SteamOS work on a PC or just a steamdeck?
its mor about which one works for you (and if you use nvidia just give up lol)
start with mint and see how it goes
Iโm bored what should I do
definitely dont use ubuntu bc its become spyware like windows.
but yeah under the hood its all
. get drivers
. might have to enable a multilib repository (most distros i know of are 64-bit only by default)
. install the steam package using your distro's package manager (avoid using flatpak to get steam because it's sansboxing has a performance penalty)
. youre good to go
i think steamos on a desktop is kinda pointless because youll want to do more stuff than game on your pc
idk depends on wat you find fun
lol
nah i don't play games when I am bored
I am going to organise my PC's filesystem ๐
XD
i like it until i start playing with partitions and bork my disk
usually get to fix it later but ya
Sleep
Sleep is never an option @tardy rain
There's probably better way of writing that or restructuring it
hmm
Ubuntu is the only distro officially supported by Steam
I've heard ppl had success with pop!os and other Ubuntu-based distros, but I wouldn't stray from that for gaming
isnt haxe that fnf language
How is ubuntu spyware
it isn't, people are mad about https://ubuntu.com/pro and about snapd, which they're pushing by default
Years ago there was a snafu where they were sending unity searches back to canonical, but they haven't in a long time
Canonical provides Ubuntu Pro with 10 years of enhanced CVE patching, FIPS compliance, CIS
and DISA-STIG profiles and enterprise-grade open source software support with a single subscription for open source
supply chain provenance.
data collection is opt-out now too (gotta uncheck a button in the installer)
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-devel/2018-February/040139.html
also the snap thingie doesnt sound too jolly
https://linuxmint-user-guide.readthedocs.io/en/latest/snap.html
Backdoor via APT
When Snap was introduced Canonical promised it would never replace APT. This promise was broken. Some APT packages in the Ubuntu repositories not only install snap as a dependency but also run snap commands as root without your knowledge or consent and connect your computer to the remote proprietary store operated by Canonical.
and only canonical can put out stuff in the snap store
all this should be opt-in
like everything is in other linux distros
(everything that might affect user freedom/privacy)
play with vim
you won't be bored for at least a year
after that, change to emacs
that'll be enough for the rest of your life
@heady hamlet The file you downloaded wasn't malware.
Oh cool I have another kernel panic. Hello me.
It was duckies
i really need to learn how to read math for algorithms
verlet integration looked very confusing but it was just pos += vel + accel * delta_time**2
okay
im lucky
those look very AI generated
good ducks either way ๐
They are cute ducks.
it probably thought it was lemonade
drunken duck
that's what i dislike about AI art. I want to know if the work is done is made by a real person
may I ask why?
to understand whether to appreciate it based on the efforts involved? it's not that hard to understand.
ah. I don't care about the effort involved.
Effort involved is not a measure of how good art is
If i spend 10h making a shitty sand castle that doesnt mean its more of an artwork as someone spending 10min to sketch up a person
wow. Unfortunate that you've never had anyone care about the effort you put into something then.
u care about results and u have been taught that is all that matters to people around u
hope u find better people who care more
Why are you better because you care about effort
Maybe if you were better at X then it wouldnt take you as long or be as hard for you
wha? what i am does not matter here. time does not equate to effort either. what an odd view
It looked to me like you were taking a shot at me and my upbringing so i shot back
๐คท
what was ur shot? oh
back to the nothing for me. thankfully this place is still good source of knowledge. i should not have engaged here
it's not. but at the same time, i'm not going to put in values to something that looks like renaissance level of work that has been generated and no efforts other than typing the prompt at all. I actually want to know if a human did that
so if a page has signs of many of that, i'd simply not support them. easy as that
i do generative art without AI involved though as well hand-made art. i value that as well as hand-made art too. not things that is only prompt and basically absolutely zero efforts, even less than sketching.
What is the line then? If i drizzle paint on a canvas is it more valuable because a human did it?
Valuable might be the wrong word but you get rhe idea
More artsy
i wouldn't put value on a drizzle on a canvas unless you did it via code and applied mathematics to it
one of those is not like the other. one of those involves understanding of mathematics, and some bit of physics, and understanding of the language too
Im sure jackson pollock had an excellent grasp of mathematics
i'm sure he does, but i doubt he did it on his work. i consider his work as trash
But human effort was expended in every single painting of his
yes. but minimal one can argue.
not really sure where to put him on. i haven't done much look into his work and the process involved
Its all garbage ms paint tier stuff
the silkscreen process makes me doubt him
You could randomly type into midjourney and get better looking shit than his
you could already make similar work to his own via code easily too
or do it manually and simply change color. i don't put in value on his work either
My philosophy is as long as I like it, its art
Thats about it
Doesnt matter if it took a human a thousand hours or a computer 3 ms
on the computer part, there's a thing called generative art
to me, it's the application of code that matters. as long as the person who did it is original
Original how?
as in the person did the code and the work behind the scene
Everything you see in the art world draws inspiration from someone else
Thats a weird definition tho
yes, but there's still some degree of labor involved
Should an artist build their own paint brushes, canvas, mix their own paints?
that's a strawman. you know what i mean by labor
I dont lol, the parallel is that the tool here (the code or model or paintbrush) and the art are separate
i'm talking about doing the mental work, the physical work of using the tools to create a picture.
I almost want to spin my Pi back up just to turn on Adguard Home so I can block Temu exclusively. That's how annoying it is
kids are rewarded for effort because we want them to put in effort. and this is good. but after you become an adult, you eventually learn that effort is not actually rewarded, per se. what is rewarded is the results of the effort.
Pihole is pretty good too
American Pie hole
i don't think there's any convention. it's just that if you have more than one argument with full names starting with an x, you might shorten one to -x and the other to -X.
agree
Trying to figure out how to CI is confusing
In other news, I absolutely hate Dropbox support. They are the most difficult and annoying individuals I have ever encountered.
wait wut? dropbox has support?
Just do --help (or open man page for the thing, if it exists) and read on it. There aren't much "standard" flags like that, the only uppercase I've seen several times is -D which is usually short for --dry-run. But other stuff is really program-specific.
Ah, and the other "standard" (but not in all stuff) is -V used as short for --version. Because lowercase -v is usually used for --verbose
it means they already used the lowercase version, lol
personally, I hate the --long-name notation convention. I just do -name options and let prefix matching take care of the rest
@rough sapphire
Each site has its own Local Storage. I said it would be dangerous because potentially sensitive information could be stored in Local Storage. If sites shared the storage, a malicious site could read tokens from the storage and steal logins.
omg i am dump
sorry how they share storage?
They don't. Or are you saying you want a shared storage?
no you say if sites shared the storage then malicous site can read it
is there a way two web domain share local storage/
?
you mean malicous application can read it from user harddisk?
or ssd whatever
If they shared Local Storage, a malicious site could just do something like localStorage.getItem('token'), and then send that back to their server and now they potentially have your access token if a site stored it in the token key.
And I don't know how to share accross domains. The need for that is likely very niche. I've never needed this. Maybe set up an API on one site and have the other request information from it.
Why do you need this?
no no i get you wrong.nobody needs it XXD
omg i feel i am dump but you say every domain has own local storage then how other domain reach it
the is the point i cannot get
if the localStorage is not indivudual for domain then it is ok
if you mean hacker can get it from user storage then it is ok too
but how other website get it
It doesn't. Browser local storage is per domain. That's the point they tried to make - you cannot view browser storage of some other website
They can't, because LS is scoped to each domain. google.com cannot see facebook.com's LS on your machine.
I believe they thought you wanted to read other website's local storage, so they just explained why it is isolated
What I mentioned before was what could go wrong if it were allowed.
Yes ^
And on top of security, there would be key collisions, which would be a nightmare.
f sites shared the storage, a malicious site could read tokens from the storage and steal logins.
Note: If you have two applications they can still be hosted on the same domain and port by using a reverse proxy (eg nginx), so I guess that way two of your own apps on the same domain could use the same local storage in the browser.
But that's same website
ha okey XD
no no no nobody needs that ๐
thanks guys i really appreciate
uhm, so I'm not sure how familiar you guys are, but could anyone explain what is going on with my ram? I have 16 GB in pc but all of these numbers (in descending order) barely sum up to 5 GB... is task manager bad at showing memory usage? or something else?
i think in another tab you can see used/total ram
and idk wats wrong with this pic. 5gb/16gb usage is normal
That's not the full list of applications, either
what's medal? and why does steam need a "web helper" that's running all the time?
I really hate this habit of companies that make daemons when there's not necessary
If you are trying to reach absolute failure on an exercise, if you can still do more after 5 minutes, did you actually fail?
lol, that's a great line => "If you are trying to reach absolute failure on an exercise"
?
Steam has used that for virtually all of its existence. Steam client is just a skinned browser
I just thought it was very funny
Y
because who tries to reach absolute failure?
Me
And by absolute failure, i mean unable to perform another rep with proper form because you are physically unable to. Not just "im tired/uncomfortable now"
So maybe"muscle failure" would be better
i was there!
