Not a 4xx on my side at all but on AWS's side between the lambda and the eventbridge. Task timed out.

Eventbridge would have resent it. S'all good.

and it is related to that sudden 200+ invocation spike.

200+ events coming in (triggers). Those are light weight, not much to do but can clog the tiny database we use. Then someone closed all 200+ events (resolves) at once. Those aren't so lightweight but don't lean on the database nearly as much.

So the 4xx was a sign of building pressure and the spike was the floodgate of someone resolving 287 incidents all at once.
