@crude sky 👋

#

i have started a project in creating a trading platform. the tutorial i am following is 2 years old so the IDE visual code is updated and differs from it of course.
i need to add csproj settings to the project but it does not allow me to do so. or i dotn know how to

#

i would talk but i still cant be verified :c

vocal basin
#

C#?

#

yep

vocal basin

crude sky
#

i guess

#

is visual studio code better?

vocal basin
#

depends

crude sky
#

easier to use or smt

vocal basin
#

for C#, the best IDE is likely Rider

#

but it's not free

#

yea cost is a problem

#

are you a student?

just want to create a trading engine for free for practise

crude sky

is your school/college/university/etc. tech-oriented?

if yes, you can apply for free JetBrains license somehow

#

I currently use normal Visual Studio, it's mostly good enough

8: How can the community ensure that the Vim project succeeds for the foreseeable future?
Keep me alive.

Vim has existed for 23 years, and it’s been used to write millions upon millions of lines of code. We caught up with Bram Moolenaar, creator of the text editor, to ask him about what he’s learned building it over the past two decades, his thoughts on NeoVim and more. In addition, we posed some questions suggested by the Vim hive...

crude sky
#

it is pretty good. im mostly using visual code because it is the same ide that the tutorial uses

vocal basin
#

what tutorial are you following?

crude sky
#

simple issues use as csproj settings are already a problem lol

crude sky
# vocal basin what tutorial are you following?

This is episode one of the trading series. Here we cover so many topics in just one hour. We cover dependency injection, logging, hosting, interfaces, static classes, scope, the TradingEngine class, and more. This series will take shape over several months, if not an entire year or longer (depending on how robust we want to make this). I'm open ...

though, yes, idk how VS 2022 does that, exactly

and VS Code doesn't have drastic version changes (no 2019/2022 editions like VS does)

Here's how to format Python code on Discord:

```py
These are backticks, not quotes. Check this out if you can't find the backtick key.
For long code samples, you can use our pastebin.
!d str.casefold
wise cargoBOT
#
str.casefold()```
Return a casefolded copy of the string. Casefolded strings may be used for caseless matching.
Casefolding is similar to lowercasing but more aggressive because it is intended to remove all case distinctions in a string. For example, the German lowercase letter `'ß'` is equivalent to `"ss"`. Since it is already lowercase, [`lower()`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/stdtypes.html#str.lower "str.lower") would do nothing to `'ß'`; [`casefold()`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/stdtypes.html#str.casefold "str.casefold") converts it to `"ss"`.
The casefolding algorithm is described in section 3.13 of the Unicode Standard.
New in version 3.3.
Something to remember, there is no such thing as a truly hidden or private thing in Python. Single leading underscore is to tell other coders that this particular method or attribute should only be used within the class itself rather than being exposed outside of the class. It's convention rather than an actual thing that denies access to it. People can still access it. The double leading underscore does a little bit of obfuscation in the way it namespace mangling. This is to be more explicit and a little bit more tedious to access that method. But again, it doesn't fully prevent it from being used elsewhere
#
The head bobble, head wobble, or Indian head shake refers to a common gesture found in South Asian cultures, most notably in India. The motion usually consists of a side-to-side tilting of the head in arcs along the coronal plane. hi
vocal basin
#
I just meant that &8 should be treated as static later on in language's development
#
in Rust, &8 is equivalent to &'static 8
#
because it's a reference to constant memory
#
same goes for C, I think
#
yeah, for simplicity it makes sense
#
constants can be added later on, usually
hollow jacinth
#
are you on linux?
#
if you go to .bashrc
vocal basin
#
anaconda allows some management of local envs, but it's not really made for it
hollow jacinth
and delete the autostart
vocal basin
#
... if that autostart exists and unnecessary
