Somehow i got free real nitro by a random person in this server recently
Yes
because of a few commands sent to voyager 2, its antenna which was pointed at earch moved by a mere 2 degrees and caused total loss of connection, luckily on october 18th or 8th idr , the probe will reset its antennas to face earth again automatically
but again, to save power the probe's part are/were being remotely shut down so it can travel farther out in space
what?
I heard that viyager 2 lost connect

@crude sky 👋
hi i have a question
i have started a project in creating a trading platform. the tutorial i am following is 2 years old so the IDE visual code is updated and differs from it of course.
i need to add csproj settings to the project but it does not allow me to do so. or i dotn know how to
i would talk but i still cant be verified :c
C#?
yep
use Visual Studio not VS Code
depends
easier to use or smt
yea cost is a problem
are you a student?
just want to create a trading engine for free for practise
yep
is your school/college/university/etc. tech-oriented?
if yes, you can apply for free JetBrains license somehow
I currently use normal Visual Studio, it's mostly good enough
https://www.binpress.com/vim-creator-bram-moolenaar-interview/
8: How can the community ensure that the Vim project succeeds for the foreseeable future?
Keep me alive.
Vim has existed for 23 years, and it’s been used to write millions upon millions of lines of code. We caught up with Bram Moolenaar, creator of the text editor, to ask him about what he’s learned building it over the past two decades, his thoughts on NeoVim and more. In addition, we posed some questions suggested by the Vim hive...
it is pretty good. im mostly using visual code because it is the same ide that the tutorial uses
what tutorial are you following?
simple issues use as csproj settings are already a problem lol
This is episode one of the trading series. Here we cover so many topics in just one hour. We cover dependency injection, logging, hosting, interfaces, static classes, scope, the TradingEngine class, and more. This series will take shape over several months, if not an entire year or longer (depending on how robust we want to make this). I'm open ...
yes, that's VS not VS Code
yea
it lacks some code analysis capabilities that ReShaper/Rider provide, but those can be introduced using something like Roslynator
howdy all
i stand corrected
@tiny oracle 👋
Roslyn is Microsoft's "compiler as a platform" for C# and VB.NET. You can use it to read, analyze or modify existing code, or make squigglies in Visual Studio, or even generate and compile entirely new code at runtime because you're insane.
In this talk I'll introduce you to Roslyn, explain things like Workspaces, SyntaxTrees, SyntaxNodes and s...
still not sure how to go about adding those csproj settings tho
thanks ill watch it
most of csproj/sln management can be done through GUI (right-click on project/solution -> properties)
though, yes, idk how VS 2022 does that, exactly
(I'm still using 2019)
and VS Code doesn't have drastic version changes (no 2019/2022 editions like VS does)
if I ever start another dotnet project, I'd probably use something like this
https://github.com/microsoft/vscode-remote-try-dotnet
(Dev Containers)
thanks :)

!d str.casefold
str.casefold()```
Return a casefolded copy of the string. Casefolded strings may be used for caseless matching.
Casefolding is similar to lowercasing but more aggressive because it is intended to remove all case distinctions in a string. For example, the German lowercase letter `'ß'` is equivalent to `"ss"`. Since it is already lowercase, [`lower()`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/stdtypes.html#str.lower "str.lower") would do nothing to `'ß'`; [`casefold()`](https://docs.python.org/3/library/stdtypes.html#str.casefold "str.casefold") converts it to `"ss"`.
The casefolding algorithm is described in section 3.13 of the Unicode Standard.
New in version 3.3.

two mentions of IBM suggest the question "are other IBM subsidiaries not selling data?"
ethics
Nothing, we were saying that both Meta and Google have a death grip on it
in case of selling data without consent, specifically
.xkcd 927
consent of users that data comes from, not consent of data
why tho
its not like most of its any good
if you dont want data dont generate data
The most worst data selling is dating servers some were leaked or the sell it its alot of passports
so, you're okay with someone taking every information available about you online and abusing it for commercial gain, right?
some people aren't, that's why laws about it exist
Well is any beneficial data like ids or anything is the most important than your name or your general location
aggregated data (i.e. non-user-specific), afaik, is widely considered okay to sell/share
closer to statistics than to fine-grained profiling
, but sometimes it isn't, depending on intent
People tracking my location should be ready to be very bored.
VC is playing up for me.
There we go
selling "company will soon be doing bad" data can sometimes be very illegal, even though it's very little amount of data
(some statistics are allowed to be shared, but not sold/used to make decisions)

Basically had a q about private/protected members in Python because it seems like a NASTY grey area as I’m reading different things from different blogs
I get the intended uses of _ and __ prefixed methods but there was a case that I wasn’t sure where it would fit
schreibutensilien
What case?
Freundschaftsbeziehungen
Something to remember, there is no such thing as a truly hidden or private thing in Python. Single leading underscore is to tell other coders that this particular method or attribute should only be used within the class itself rather than being exposed outside of the class. It's convention rather than an actual thing that denies access to it. People can still access it. The double leading underscore does a little bit of obfuscation in the way it namespace mangling. This is to be more explicit and a little bit more tedious to access that method. But again, it doesn't fully prevent it from being used elsewhere
@thorn wharf
One sec
I think the main use of __prefix is to avoid collisions between "private" members of the superclass and subclass

I have an announcement
I just released a Django reusable app, so can you please check it out and help me with the issues if there are any!!
if you are okay I can share a link to package
Yeah
Repo the whirlwind.
Wait what is this for?
Are you talking with me? 😅
while you are catching exceptions in Django you can create an Embed object and send it through Discord webhook and you can easily see the exception raised on the server live and quickly fix the issue
Yeah
So what do you think?
🥲 🙏🏻
No, it's okay 😅 Thank you for your time🙏🏻
Yes
how can i be unsepresed
!voice

py -m spacy download en_core_web_sm possibly?
It looks like spacy specifically has to download a model first
py -m pip install -U spacy[lookups]
Still looking for a solution
HOKAY so
Get into a Python terminal or what have you. The REPL
Python 3.11.4 (tags/v3.11.4:d2340ef, Jun 7 2023, 05:45:37) [MSC v.1934 64 bit (AMD64)] on win32
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
i always use python
py uses latest
py -3.7 -m spacy download en_core_web_sm
That says it's already installed, right?
Okay then hop into the 3.7 console: py -3.7
>>> import spacy
>>> nlp = spacy.load("en_core_web_sm")
>>> import en_core_web_sm
Does that cause any errors?
@sleek viper
back
Didn't realize you were afk, my bad
no errors
>>> nlp = en_core_web_sm.load()
>>> doc = nlp("This is a sentence.")
>>> print([(w.text, w.pos_) for w in doc])
Still no errors doing it that way?
import spacy
import en_core_web_sm
nlp = en_core_web_sm.load()
doc = nlp("This is a sentence.")
print([(w.text, w.pos_) for w in doc])
[('This', 'DET'), ('is', 'AUX'), ('a', 'DET'), ('sentence', 'NOUN'), ('.', 'PUNCT')]
Righto, hokay so
That tracks
Still busted?

@rugged root https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Head_bobble
The head bobble, head wobble, or Indian head shake refers to a common gesture found in South Asian cultures, most notably in India. The motion usually consists of a side-to-side tilting of the head in arcs along the coronal plane. A form of nonverbal communication, it may mean yes, good, maybe, ok, or I understand, depending on the context.

referencing stack memory instead of constant memory?
hi
I just meant that &8 should be treated as static later on in language's development
in Rust, &8 is equivalent to &'static 8
because it's a reference to constant memory
same goes for C, I think
yeah, for simplicity it makes sense
constants can be added later on, usually
why do you have two envs?
are you on linux?
if you go to .bashrc
anaconda allows some management of local envs, but it's not really made for it
and delete the autostart
... if that autostart exists and unnecessary
