Server Owner Panel - Questions
How did these panel server owners get selected? Seems pretty random.
was trying to find servers of different sizes and topics
What do you look for in a staff member? I always struggle to pick staff because I'm always worried they're going to nuke/raid the server, even if I vet them well and trust them
How do you find your new staff members?

How do you keep your voice channels active?

What do you think of the new terms and guidelines?

What bots do you rely on the most?

What has been your greatest struggle regarding server management?

Have you tried to get partnered with Discord? Why didn't you get it?

Why did you originally make your server, what was the idea behind it?

How did you choose your server's "theme"?

What's next? (Expending, etc.)
How hard is it to get active staff?
how to achive true happines
and is cereal a soup
How do you stop yourself from becoming bored and tired over time after being the server owner for such a long period of time?
Because eventually you will feel exhausted and want to take a break from the server.
Do you lose motivation when you're server or bot doesn't grow?
What do you do to keep your server active and do you enjoy owning a big server?
What is the hardest to run a big server and keep it safe
Whats your favorite amongus character
do you have tips for people starting new servers?
what are (in your opinion) the best traits to look for in a moderator, or just a general staff team member?
What is your best tip(s) to keep a server alive and fun to be at?
To be clear:
this is not referring to a new feature on our site.
A panel discussion, or simply a panel, involves a group of people gathered to discuss a topic in front of an audience, typically at scientific, business, or academic conferences, fan conventions, and on television shows. Panels usually include a moderator who guides the discussion and sometimes elicits audience questions, with the goal of being ...
Do you ever feel like throwing in the towel? It must be really stressful, especially as bad as DM spam and security have gotten with discord lately (just to name a few stressors).
Thanks for all your questions everyone! We won't be asking some of these questions in the AMA section because they were already in our questions for the panelists. But they'll still be answered!
Is mine (above) one of those you consider "already covered"? (Trying not to get off topic here so... just yes or no?)
Yours will be in the AMA
Will mine be? ;;
Yes
@outer bone please keep questions relevant to our guests
Please keep this thread for questions only and chat in #general
In many servers the staff get involved in server drama and avoid taking the appropriate actions until they lose their cool. How do you find or vet staff members who handle drama properly?
If you can anwser 2, i like to do more fun questions heh, whats your favorite league of legends character

how can u grow a server if u have no money nor have anything to giveaway
Questions with a
reaction from me will be asked either during the event or during the AMA
Do you have written guidelines (private for the mods or not) for your moderators or do you just tell your mods to go off of your #rules-and-info page?
This was already answered just before the question we're currently on! There'll be a recording of the event posted on our YouTube channel soon where you can catch up!
Awesome thank you!
also how can u grow a server if u dont have social media or if u do have social media no one still joins because your not popular. such as for example facebook I created a group way back and have 4k members because its discord related but when i do advertise my server because its my group no one joins or seems to care. and why do people leave the server as soon they join without giving the server a chance nor at least see whats the server about
What are some good bots for servers for moderation/roles/etc? I'd like to add some bots to enhance my server and whatnot but I don't want to add a lot of them or have the main focus of the server be for bot spam!
We already touched on this earlier! There'll be a recording of the event posted on our YouTube channel soon where you can catch up!
What is the best medium to advertise your server? Is it through (if its a minecraft server) a minecraft server website, or tiktok or twitter?
How do you (or your staff team) deal with sensitive topics? eg, people talking about death, assault, cancer, etc. Obviously these people may be seeking comfort or something but also these topics can be triggering for people. For me personally, if I (as a member of the server) see people are speaking about these topics, I kind of leave chat because it makes me uncomfortable. If I was going to chat, and see that, it makes me stop and not want to interrupt/get involved. Do you step in and ask to move the conversation elsewhere? (feel free to summarize this question as necessary I know it's quite long)
How and when did you came up with the idea of bot list and the name top gg?
Please keep questions related to our panelists. You can ask that question in #general
What makes you excited to be part of/ manage your community or group and continue to help it grow and flourish.
Why does some server owners start acting egoistic and ignorant when their server grows a lot?
What was your big "I did it" or "pog"
moment, where you truly felt overwhelmingly proud of your server, when you were glad you made it, that you genuinely felt like other people loved the community, etc. What was the cause? Was it an event that went well? Was it hitting a certain benchmark of members? I'd love to hear some positive vibes!
What do you think about the new text-in-voice feature? I've got my concerns about moderation.

What is the best way to advertise a Bot Support Server?
We already touched on this earlier! There'll be a recording of the event posted on our YouTube channel soon where you can catch up!
oh ok. Thank you so much. I was too busy trying to implement the other stuff they said.
Has there ever been a point in your time of owning a server where you've had to do a revamp or revive your server because of member inactivity? If so, how did you go about it and if not, how did you keep it from getting to that point?
This is a beta feature and not fully rolled out by Discord yet so we won't be asking this question just to stay on topic and stay relevant!
What gave you the idea to start this and how did it go first?
We already touched on this earlier! There'll be a recording of the event posted on our YouTube channel soon where you can catch up!
