Hey! We did change the way search results are sorted by default. Now search results are sorted in order of entities with the most votes on our site. In order to appear higher in search, I'd recommend asking your users / members to vote for your entity on top.gg.

I personally feel that an issue where new additions to the site do not show up for apparently weeks on a DISCOVERY website should be much higher priority as this basically ruins the entire purpose of the site. This has clearly been an issue for a while now.
It’s extremely frustrating pushing my members to vote for me on a website for no reason as my server doesn’t actually gain any visibility from it.
If this issue is not resolved by Wednesday I will be removing all references of Top.gg from my personal server, as well as my network of over 400k members worth of servers that I am a partial shareholder of.
I speak for myself and clearly the many aspiring server owners that this is downright neglect at this point.

Hi, the devs are fully aware of the search issues currently happening and are actively trying to fix that issue. Please note that there's still no ETA regarding a fix about this. Though fixing that issue is not as easy as going "click, fixed", it is an issue that has possibly being caused by how the site was previously implemented, thus why it might take so long to fix it.
I do get your frustration that Top.gg might've been one of the sites giving you the most traffic and just not so much right now, but please give the developers their time to fix that issue as it isn't one you can simply fix.
One of the terms that might actually apply in this case is so called "Tech debt" or "Technical debt". Basically adding a quick fix towards search would just have that issue happen later on again. Going more in depth with fixing that issue would get that issue fixed for a longer period and possibly avoid future issues about that feature aswell

Nah. As long as you keep the bot description and bot prefix up to date on Top.gg if you change anything you should be good
Oh, and to point out the obvious, if the bot is offline when we go to test it, it will be rejected. So make sure to try and keep downtimes to a minimum
If you need a longer maintenance window, we do respect it if you update the bot description with the maintenance timeframe
