by this logic, the US and China aren't what starts the war, it's Vault-Tec behind the scenes going "nyeheheheh" like cartoon villains
which breaks the main theme
That better be the opening scene for season 2
It doesn't need to be
it's really awful writing
"war never changes?" nah, people are actually normal and decent. everything bad is secretly vault-tec going "nyeheheheh"
^
Bar 76, every games conflict is due to people refusing to trust and cooperate with each other
My washer machine broke must be vault tec plot to gain control
nuked shady sands? one vault-tec guy going "nyeheheheh"
nuked world? "nyeheheheh"
it'll probably turn out in s2 that vault-tec invented caesar's legion because nyeheheheh
Ceaser is one of buds buds
it was me Lucy I untied your shoelaces and made you trip over them
Removing responsibility from people for the state of the world kills Fallout's themes completely fr
I mean they could next season have coop find his wife and she explains to him that they didn’t launch the nukes

I already told you why it's impossible they did
Well they dident the chance to China nuked first
You're asking for them to dumb it down for no reason
I’m on your side with that point
Her daughter being in her father's custody means it's impossible. She'd otherwise know and not have her with him
the plot was always that China launched first. China didn't need convincing or bribing to launch. The decade-long war with tactical nuclear use gave them all the reason they'd need
Coop would’ve thought they launched the nukes
I’m not saying vault tech launched the nukes
(I will say I was saying that earlier)
Them even suggesting it is irredeemable
He's not gonna give a fuck if they didn't or did
My new guess is that they planned too launch them some how and then the actual Nukes where launched
I feel like coops wife is probably in vault 33
Sorry 31
She wasn't in the training program
I got a feeling next season is gunna be another goose chase for Hank and than they’ll do another season where they actually find his wife
He'll probably shoot her
Probably yea
I mean the fact coop says “where my fucking family” instead of “where’s my fucking wife” leads me to believe his daughter lived somehow
But I feel like coops daughter would be with coop if she didn’t die
Also if she is still alive I feel like she probably looks a lot like how rose did in the finale
He probably got her to vault tec and got left
Imagine being a child and a you see like 6 nukes go off and than you just get dumped in a random ass vault and never see your dad again
Noticed at the vault tec meeting they mentioned rumoured peace deals
So maybe these guys just greased the palms of politicians involved with that
wouldn't take much "Hey, imagine all your competition is dead and you can create your own city/society whatever, we have vaults for you"
Good.god.i hope we get some courier worship next season
More than likely it will be a single throwaway line from house about a previous employee he had
Doubt house is alive
I don't want couriers meat ridden in s2
Or just payement
Also it could be a critique on modern America and corrupt politicians
So season 2 is new Vegas?
It will show up at least
Season 3 will end up being mexico or something
in season 3 they need to return to the theory that Aliens were behind the nukes and then have everyone collectively say that its a rediculous notion
New Vegas takes place 15 years before the show
And
Doesn’t house die in new Vegas?
Yea 3/4 endings
They said they weren't going to reveal the ending of NV tho so I think house will still be dead, even if he won in NV
you can disable him doesnt mean he's dead
He says the germ exposure limits his lifespan severely
oh right yea
not actual worship but like, there should b some kinda reference to him
them*
if anything i wish we got a reference to the original vault dweller, not that many people would remember that this one person did all that but idk some kind of reverence would be neat
vault dweller generally deserves the worship tbh, he duked it out in the wasteland when it was still a complete horror show and partially helped created the NCR
the courrier seems too amoral for a fallout protagonist
His main stick is being king maker, which isn't exactly the work of a true hero
Also revenge
Which is a contrast to every other protagonist
I'm surprised the courier's first instinct was going after the guy tbf
IDK, that motive is justifiable
eye for an eye is an amoral course of actions for me
Anyway this also bring up how much railroaded new vegas is
It's an (good) illusion of choices
Yeah, you'd think those NCR fellas would've been worshipping the Vault Dweller instead of Moldaver. Like, bro, the former's the fella who helped lay the foundations for the NCR by saving Tandi and stopping the Master; they even had a statue of themselves in Shady Sands before Hank's little temper tantrum. What exactly about Moldy outdoes that even remotely?
Communism
Careful not to let Liberty Prime hear that.
They gunna need to pick an ending for NV
We all know it, I know it, Bethesda knows it
Eh, they could just go with a general 'don't matter who won because X', whether X be Tunnelers or Yes Man going Skynet.
Even though it'd be kind of a wishy-washy move; what's so bad with just picking an ending and going off of that?
New Vegas fans are annoying
because it would seem like making it what the "best" ending is to some people
But wouldn't a 'whatever ending you picked didn't matter, shit hit the fan, war never changes'-type ending stink even worse for some folks, hypothetically speaking?
Well we saw what happened after the Shady Sands in the fanbase
it would probably be worse
Honestly I would prefer it if somehow Vegas was still fully functioning
Same, coupled with a House outcome, if only to add extra faction conflict.
I think New Vegas is too interesting a location just to have it destroyed
Well they just chouldent read a timeline
TBF they did word it horrible
If they said "Decline of Shady Sands" and not "Fall of Shady Sands" it would've been more obvious
Cause Fall implies it was lost immediatly
i think that fall of shady sands refers to kimballs election
Or even just "Decline of the NCR". Like, the NCR wasn't just Shady Sands, it had quite a few other cities by 2281.
It dident say fall of ncr pepole acting like a fall,of one city means death of the ncr
it shouldve just said decline
Fans whould have still gone apeshit anywas
I mean considering that it was THE captitol and we only saw a handful of remnants calling themselves the NCR it is easy to think that. The show doesnt make it obvious otherwise
honestly maybe they shouldn't have done it in the west coast at all
we see the NCR declining in fallout new vegas
Like they did so much with the NCR it might've been better if they just placed it somewhere else and had a new faction
People act like doing one quest for them fixes all the issues for them
TBF that is true for most factions
Quick appreciation post for how aggressive max is both intentional and non intentionally
hehehe
AND NEITHER DO WE 😡😡
I mean when your city is turned into a huge crater and you grow up in a military camp I feel like your gunna be fairly aggressive
I doubt it tho, but if i were to pick one, itd be the NCR ending
Guy's actually very good at non-power armor combat
Managed to get himself out of a 4v1 brawl
Fast and lucky enough to win a 2v1
So, whos on team "Vault Tec implied they could kick off the war but whoever actually did is still vague"
Honestly, I rather much have the part of who kicked off the great war ambigious
me
Them saying that dropping the nuke is a possibility to stay in power, and then actually doing it, are very different things. So, yeah.
At most, maybe they fired off one nuke or hacked the early warning system to trick the US into responding to a fake Chinese launch.
ngl I'm killing the BoS in every playthrough of every game I'm doing from now on including 1 and 2
The only BOS I respected was in fallout 3, atleast they tried to protect civilians. Fuck the other ones including the outcasts.
Yeah, House and Moore were right all along about the BoS.
Shame the Sole Survivor was too chickenshit to blow that dang blimp out of the sky in 4.
Also makes all of us who chose a NCR-BoS truce route in NV look like complete idiots in retrospect.
I mean they're a former soldier and probably would've empathised
And now the entire West Coast has to pay for that choice.
I just realized something about episode 1x4, when Walter sees Lucy drink from irradiated water, he says "How's that golden rule jive going through your mind" or something, my first thought was that he was simply showing Lucy how tough the wasteland is, but then I realized that He knew Vault-tec contributed to the apocalypse, so in his mind, this is his version of "do unto others". Do unto Vault-tec as vault-tec did to him.
And honestly, drinking irradiated water is rather measured all things considered.
Ops-Core FAST helmet is crazy
Should've had combat helmets we see in games not modern tech
One guy had it, showrunners decided to equip the rest with modern helmets for... reasons...
Oh that's nice
I just assume all the modern looking outfit pieces are cuz they had to save budget for more important stuff
They're extras most people besides turbo nerds would give more than a glance
That's legit f04 combat helment
They're saying that this one is the accurate one but the one in the picture above it is a modern regular helmet instead
Keep in mind that Fallout DOES have more 'modern' equipment shown here and there, the 2000s still happened afterall, it's not shown as much.
The skull at the end was a deathclaw, right?
Looked lik it
Hank's just lucky the Courier presumably cleared out Quarry Junction.
He'd be better off taking the southern route like any other Mojave newcomer.
Hank will just nuke the deathclaws
Nah, his wife didn't run off to live with Deathclaws.
Do you think we'll get to see the Mojave outpost with the 2 Ranger statues
Maybe it'll be like the wild wasteland ending slide where the ranger statues are buried in the sand partially
i hope so
Same with Goodsprings, hopefully.
Goodsprings is definitely gotta be in because everyone goes to good springs in NV no matter what
Plus they can use the irl town
That one robot cowboy
Victor
And of course, the Goodsprings cemetery.
I like how the, town just has somewhat embraced the comminty
Yeah and it would be a good place to open a season 2 marketing pre-event
Damn kinda wish I live in the US so I can go to these fallout events
If they do another event in goodsprings I do want to actually attend
Was probably pretty stressful to be a staff member at the saloon to suddenly host a few hundred people
Yes they do them yearly
Oh nice, definitely adding that to my bucket list

I don't know a lot of people face to face who are hardcore fallout fans like all of us, so it would be a cool experience to actually meet them
(its free)
That's dope, also great to support a tiny little business in a tiny little town
I honestly want to go on a whole NV tour, check out the other towns like Nipton and Primm
Pull up in power armor
You think that them going by Hollywood would be important?
i think it was just a joke about everything being sponsored
Context
Nah
Cappy the next boss fight in 76?
Isn't he made a knight? Or did I miss something
He's was a knight but the elder was talking about making max his right hand man is number 2
Ohh
Thanks for the clarification
He wasn't officially made into anything, just kind of like oh shit lets call him this because that would be a logical advancement for securing this mission or whatever, but yeah he was like let's make our own brotherhood earlier
Well tbf Knight titus shows that not all of the BOS with rank care about the BOS or their duty, meanwhile maximus got a name like the founder and he seems to be more into the BOS than most
Plus by making him a higher rank the show runners can now show us things inside the BOS that only higher ranks would see
My reaction ||after I found out who nuked Shady Sand.||
||How dare you destroyed the first village of the first fallout game||
||Vault Dweller's no doubt waiting in the afterlife to jump Hank whenever he inevitably ends up there.||
i hope we get more NCR ranger gear since we saw a bit of it in the show
also
i think Vault Tec was GOING to nuke but was beat a couple days early
Yeah, there's no way Coop's wife would've let her daughter be anywhere near the surface on October 23rd if VT was behind the nukes.
Wdym
In 76? Or what cuz 76 already has all the ranger armor variants
the TV show
Oh oops
