Nothing wrong with three Gunners on a team. Just did an all Gunner Haz 5 Escort yesterday, and it was one of the easiest Escort missions I've ever done, haha.
That said, there is a setting in the Options, under Gameplay, called "Prevent late join character duplication." When you are hosting and you turn that on, people who join mid-mission will not be able to select a class that is selected by someone else. This only works when people join a mission after it begins and if the host has it turned on

The idea is that while you're in the Space Rig, you'd discuss classes with everyone before starting the mission so people can figure out who is doing what and everyone is happy. If you late joined a mission with three Gunners, it either means the host doesn't care OR the host wants there to be three Gunners

Yeah, that setting won't affect people joining before you start the mission. You'll have to talk to the folks joining and get everyone to select the classes the group decides upon

And I think that setting still turns off every time you launch the game, so you'll have to set it every time you play if you want to use it

What do you mean by kill the mission? I've had people get annoyed at folks hanging around by the pod ramp wanting to kill bugs for four minutes and just blow them away so we can get moving already.

That is why it is nice to host the game sometime. You can't kick them late in the game, but one night when I was in a particularly foul mood from a long bad day and stumbled upon griefers that behaved badly in my game, I turned on the microphone, asked them politely to stop the stupidity and when they taunted me and continued I went all nuclear and ended the mission for all of us. I lost everything, as well as they, but before I disbanded the team in the sick bay I told them that I would kick anyone of them entering one of my future games, so they should think twice before joining again.

Usually the DRG community is a great community with really nice people, and my experience on the PC has only been positive. On PSN the experience has been more mixed and perhaps that is because of the influx of non-paying players. They haven't invested anything into the game so some don't care about not being ***holes.
My take is to tell them they are not wanted and hopefully they will disappear. Also, help new people by telling them about the small subtleties in the game. For example, when I see someone desperately trying to find a jadiz stone or enor pearl, I tell them to turn of their headlamp and look for the faint glow. Just be nice to new or nice people and strict with the asshats. Most important: Rock and stone!
(PS: Just so I say it: I think the huge influx of players has been mostly positive though, I think we have to accept the bad eggs with the opportunity to introduce many dwarves to the mines.)

what I found helps a lot on console is to enable motion aim and learn to use it (I recommend disabling enhance motion precision too, makes it too slow for my liking. jack up all the sliders too, drg's motion aim feels weaker than I've seen in other games)

it'll give near kb+m accuracy if you can get used to it. funnily it's probably way more intuitive to learn than a mouse

there sadly aren't many fpses/etc on ps that actually have motion aim despite the controller supporting it, unlike switch

drg and hzd2 were the first two I've seen in a very long time

That would be an amazing call-out. I did a duo deep dive last night and we didn’t use voice comms. My partner died while we were split up, he always got caught by cave leeches so he probably didn’t know to bring that active perk for this week.

I didn’t see a leech till it too late, got caught he used iron will and I escaped at the same time, you get 2 chances to use heighten senses after all. Was an awkward moment seeing him pop iron will just standing there waiting to die for a revive.

I learned to take my time to do a revive from that mistake though.

The best method I found was running the Scout on Point Extractions with the Low Gravity modifier.

Whenever I do a DD with a drilldozer mission, the scout zips off to get nitra during the moving truck phase. Gets that time efficiency going.

The driller/engineer also frequently hops off to deploy a turret or burn things.

There is an exploit for the solo missions, if you select a solo mission but instead of going into the pod you go on mission select, press triangle, and choose any on-going game to join, it will count as a solo mission done when you complete it.

The PS5 makes use of an integrated IO that handles the uncompressing of game files on the fly. This means the performance isn't affected in any way and developers can make game files smaller and let the PS5 uncompress them while you play it

There is likely no practical limit for blue player level (i.e. it's high enough that no one will reach it via legitimate means), but the theoretical limit would be based on whatever data type stores the value of the level. For example, if the blue player level was stored as a (signed) 32-bit integer value, the highest player level would be 2,147,483,647. It'd take over 250 million dwarf promotions to get there legitimately in this hypothetical scenario. I'm not sure how the player level value is stored, but presumably it's something not too dissimilar

What's the shortest amount of time you think you can reach promotion level and finish the 4 promotion assignment missions? 4 hours? (I think 4 hours would be incredibly fast.) Even if you get the 250,000+ credits (and all the minerals!) needed to pay for the highest tier promotions while racing to get to level 25 and finish the assignment, it would take well over a hundred thousand years to get all those promotions

Even if you could somehow get a get a promotion an hour, you're looking at more than twenty-five thousand years. I would think Hoxxes would be all mined out long before then...

To add to that, a typical mission lasts 30 minutes (for my experience, so for the average dwarf) assuming it is a 'Short' or 'Medium' mission and not something like Escort Duty, on any Hazard. If someone could reach level 25 in an hour, they would most likely have to complete one mission every 5 minutes (which is extremely quick for every mission, where the only time it could be possible would be during an Egg Hunt where the cave is small and all 4 [assuming the least amount of eggs] are close by and collected before 4 minutes where calling the Drop Pod would be necessary). If DRG could hire miners to work that fast, if dwarves could even mine that fast, Hoxxes would not stand a chance.

Each promotion is 25 character levels. Promoting all characters one rank is 100 levels. 4 promotions to reach silver and another 4 to reach gold = 800 character levels. Hand-waving, that's something like a thousand missions.

4 hours is 240 minutes, so you tell me whether you can do a thousand missions in 240 minutes.

I read "finish the 4 promotion assignment missions" as getting the trophies for promoting all four characters, so that's my bad. Cut it 1/4 to about 250 missions to promote only one character all the way to gold. Of course that's also less efficient because nobody is earning xp on the promotion missions if you do it like that. If you mean just to promote one character one rank, then 1/8 of that to 30-40 missions.

For completing the third stage of the Deep Dive, you get a random Cosmetic Core that you do not already have. Same thing for completing the third stage of the Elite Deep Dive.
Once you earn the cores from the Deep Dives, you cannot earn more cores from Deep Dives until the Deep Dives reset, which happens on Thursdays -- so it is sort of two new cosmetics each week (if you beat the both of the Deep Dives)

The Deep Dives are hard. They are easier once you have some perks and weapons fully upgraded, but they are still a challenge. The good thing is, unlike missions, the Deep Dive is exactly the same all week. So even if you fail the Deep Dive, you've gained knowledge about what the cave looks like, where the objectives and nitra are, and have a good idea what to expect overall. You can go in better prepared each time you try

And, even if you only finish the first stage, you do earn the reward for the first stage (which is a Blank Core that you can use at a completed Machine Event that can be found in regular missions)

If you manage to make it through two stages, you'll get that Blank Core from the first stage, and you'll get a random Weapon Overclock (again, one you don't already have) from finishing the second stage. It can be worth giving the Deep Dives a try, because the Weapon Overclocks can be fairly powerful upgrades or completely change how a weapon works and feels

You can also earn Blank, Weapon, and Cosmetic Cores from the Weekly Core Hunt assignment, so you're not forced to play the Deep Dives just to earn those rewards. You can play the missions for the Weekly Core Hunt assignment at any Hazard Level you want, just like any old normal mission

If you can make it through Hazard Level 4 missions, you can make it through the regular Deep Dive. It might take a few tries, but you can definitely beat it. It gets easier every time you try, since you'll know exactly what you're up against

It's a bug but it's comprehensible if you think that drg launched on ps4/ps5 in January. I have done some trophies, but the most upsetting thing is that I've done the Rollercoaster on pipes and I wasn't rewarded with the trophy... Imagine waste 1h on that to get God descending on me cause I was invocating him a lot. Same thing but less painful with all the haz3 missions I've done with no downs and no resupplies (no trophy even there). That said, no one playing a non-Steam version is missing out on anything, really. The feature is a barebones, basic implementation and has no mechanics or impact on gameplay in any way at this time. The only functional thing it does is award a small amount of bonus credits and minerals about once a month or so

I can't say for sure, but it's likely the progress for trophies has been tracked, and once the issues are fixed all you have to do is do the thing to trigger the trophy for it to update your progress.
For example, if you've already completed 100 solo missions, once the trophies are fixed you can do one more solo mission and it would see that you're over 100 and finally award the trophy

adaptive triggers and im using dualsense program (which is an official program) for it to work overall and in dying light 2 its working flawlessly and it feels like drg ps5 version is completely diferent version compared to pc because when i choose the controler to be acted as xbox one its start to work and i do feel rumble but i still dont have the adaptive triggers function and when i go for it to be recognized as ps5 controller it then completely stops working in drg

i have tried alot but just idk i just want to know if its me or perhaps there is no way for me to feel the adaptive triggers in the pc version

Stuns the Bulk Detonators as well. Situational, I'll admit, but in the middle of repairing the uplink for a Salvage Op primary objective on stage 3 of an Elite Deep Dive and a Bulk shows up to the party, locking them down (as well as the Menaces) can be a big deal

But yeah, the weapons and their customizations allow you to play each class in so many different ways. With a bit of playing around and testing, you can set any of them up to enable you play your best

It makes me excited for the new weapons, even if I find that I prefer something we already have. I know I'll see other people using the new stuff to great effect in fun ways I haven't thought of, and I can't wait

Yeah, that's also a risk with random folk. But, ignoring the risk factor for random folks, the first time you do a Deep Dive stage with Doretta and eggs, you won't know if you're in for an unexpected bad time until it's too late. Just an argument for getting the eggs before ever opening Doretta's drop cage

I believe it's been confirmed that the core is used. And I believe what happens is you get a random one of the selections, but I'm not 100% on the last part

Your best bet is to always focus on a specific class if the class you're hoping for is not available to select. For example, if you want scout overclocks, but the only choices are engineer and driller, focus on one of those, like driller, every chance you get. Once you have everything from driller (if that happens before scout) you won't have driller ever pop up again, and then scout would be more likely

You still get the XP when the the Machine Event ends, even if you just activate it and run away. So if you don't have cores and don't feel like beating it, you should still activate them

well i kind of have to beat them for my teammates, i cant just not take part in them

the game should still give you some kind of reward, maybe like a skin like from the loot boxes or lost gear

Of course, it's dependent on your teammates. But if everyone is ignoring it, or communicates that they do not have blank cores, it's still worth starting it because you still get the bonus XP

still its annoying when you do 20 events a week and only get a reward for 3 of them

The XP is decent for it, at least. Around as much as completing the secondary objective
