I was playing with randoms when our gunner went down, they were about 40ish meters away but there was a bunch of terrain to travel through, luckily I was giving scout a break and playing driller, the drop pod had already arrived so we could've left em. I drilled my way to him and a scout followed to protect my 6 the last guy stayed in the pod incase the two of us went down as well. We ended up getting the res, and getting out with around 40 seconds remaining.

That’s odd. I know that’s the exact effect if 4K and 120hz is running on TV and/or cable not supporting HDMI2.1. I’ve seen on other person having the same issue with full support, so there might be a bug there. It’s hard to squash if we can’t identify and replicate, though.

Saves are wierd with ps5 but not much different. You upload to the cloud and download the save data on ps5 but it is split between ps5/ps4 save data for games with separate versions. You can almost always port ps4 data to a ps5 version of the game but never the other way around. (I tried to go from ps5 version of Dark Alliance to the ps4 version to play with friends and my data was gone because it doesn't go backwards for save compatability.) I've had no other issues except for that in over a year with ps5.

The cable isn’t the issue. It’s the actual hdmi 2.1 slot on your tv and having a tv that runs 4-8k etc not just upscaling. My tv just has one hdmi2.1 slot and it’s an 8k tv that was nearly $10k. Some tv have 0 some have 1 or more.

For this you have to know their cable ( you need a high mhz 8k etc cable not just basic hdmi that comes with ps5, you need info their tv n tv has to be set up in settings etc. there’s tons of factors and it’s gonna be 99% the time user error bc tv cable settings. You’d spend days trying troubleshoot their faults.

They never needed to add PC to Xbox save transfers as an extra thing. Xbox has cloud saves and on Xbox DRG is Play Anywhere, so your save moves with you between PC and Xbox.
On PlayStation, they'd have to create some way of transferring saves, and it would have to be approved by PlayStation. It's considerably more of a process to make that happen than "oh it just works because cloud saves and Play Anywhere."
That said, the devs know it'd be nice to have and I'd bet they'll at least look into it

I can’t think of any game on PlayStation that does it. It’s not needed and PlayStation is on top so they don’t really care. Xbox has to do so much more to try get people to play on that console

PlayStation 5 bug: I recently unlocked the tier 2 perk (5m distance)that blows up loot bugs if you get near them. Ran with it a few missions then switched back to my beast master perk. For the next couple maps The loot bug perk remained active even thou I had switched beast master. Not a game breaking bug but a bug is a bug…. and I don’t like bugs

It does take a little practice, but you can usually get most Nitra and other minerals as a Scout without an Engineer. The grappling hook to pickaxe power attack stick-to-the-wall maneuver is also very satisfying to pull off

Just did a Salvage Operation with 4 players on Hazard 3. On a normal Ps4 it was almost unplayable, there were so many enemies that the fps dropped down to 10 or something during the entire defending section. I really, really hope there can be something done about the performance. It was manageable, but on higher difficulties, it would've been a nightmare.

Every single one that has a related overclock unlocked; I have a recording on my PS4 of the Jury-Rigged Boomstick being responsive before crafting an overclock for it and it locking out afterwards.

On a related note, we have managed to fix it permanently internally. It will be fixed in the next patch.

There is currently an issue that is affecting folks who apply or even look at Overclocks in the Equipment Terminal. It will disable the ability to add or change Tier 5 mods to the weapon after you look at the Overclock menu. The devs are on top of it, as you can see right above this post

Got it, just adding feedback. The workaround resolves the issue for me, luckily. I've had this issue for almost 2 weeks now and am really happy to be rid of it. 😀

Not at all a bad thing, haha, and it seems to only be affecting PS4 players. There's a workaround if the bug does come up for you prior to the next update, but the next update should fix it and probably isn't too far out

There are no plans for crossplay; it's a "never say never" topic, but also very much a "don't wait around for this" topic. The devs agree it would be nice to have, but it's a non-trivial problem to solve and there are some significant impediments to doing so. For example, the Steam version is significantly different than the console versions in quite a few ways; some trivial, and some fundamental. It would also mean they'd have to completely change how they develop the game, and all future updates would probably take longer to be released.
Strictly speculating, I could see how it might be more possible to do Xbox/PlayStation crossplay without Steam, but it would still require a ton of work and resources and even if available would likely significantly interfere with other development

When you get a Weapon Overclock, it will always be a random Overclock. You don't really have control over which one you get, but at successfully completed Machine Events you can fill a Blank Core (if you have one available) and it lets you sort of pick which dwarf the Overclock is for

Xbox and Microsoft Store on Windows can play together because they're both Xbox, but that's the only cross-play that exists. PlayStation is only cross-generation, meaning PS4 and PS5 can play together

At Machine Events, you might be able to pick a Gunner Weapon overclock, but that's as much control as you'll get, and that option might not be one of the three that's presented as a Machine Event reward

They're random events you might encounter duing regular missions

They look like an odd bit of machinery, and they have a little white cube console nearby that can only be activated after you promote a dwarf (you can participate in the event without having promoted, but you won't be able to get the Overclock reward. They do give a nice chunk of XP though)

Blank Cores you'll earn from the first mission in the Weekly Core Hunt Assignment, and from completing the first stage in each Deep Dive. You can earn 3 Blank Cores each week that way

The Tritilyte Deposit used to be very prone to RNG shenanigans. It could spawn the bomb dispenser in some really tricky, distant spots that could make it very, very hard to complete. That got better, thankfully, haha

Yeah. In my experince it's usally like 3 driller fuel away now. So it's just easy bomb tosses town a tunnel to it

But Kursite is the hardest cuz sometimes the enemies will just... spawn on a ceiling miles away from the grinder

And you'll shoot them and it'll land 1000ft down a cliff no where near what you can get to

I think having a driller for kursite is great. You can make a satchel crater near the deposit point (or a couple) as a kill zone so the shards don’t roll in some stupid place. Granted, doesn’t help with super far-away enemies

And with the nature of missions, you can try something out, and if you don't love it, a few minutes later you're onto the next mission which can be something else entirely

I think the cryo build I've seen friends use prioritizes freezing speed, but I've not really played around with cryo builds myself to be able to offer much more than that. They're great, very effective, and I think I'd be terrible at playing it well, haha

The ways friends have done cryo, they basically become a support character instead of direct damage character. You bag 'em, we tag 'em, is the idea

I have an overclock for the Engie's smart rifle, but I've barely touched Engie. I have an overclock for the Gunner's missile gun, but same problem lol

And those are the only two I've unlocked for crafting that weren't cosmetics lol. I surely do appreciate the breach the core assignment though for easy access to some good overclocks.

I forget what the smart rifle one is, but the missile gun one is the one that turns off tracking when you release the trigger but also makes the missiles faster.
