And if you've spent enough time to get all gold promotions, I'd hope that everyone who does that is good enough to do a haz 5 deathless without resupplies

while on the rig, go into the pause menu —> options —> save menu —> restore progress
you can check your saves and see which has more progress. If nothing happened your probably fine but this will let you compare all your saves

And driller is (in my opinion) the best class for the drillevator missions so you should be fine

Check the Restore Save option. Open the in-game options menu, then select Save Menu, then Restore Save. If you have any available cloud saves, you'll be able to load them from there. Hopefully there's one that has most/all of your progress

If you're on wifi, try connecting with an ethernet cable.
If you're already plugged in via ethernet, try wifi.

It's a bug that doesn't affect everyone. The only known workaround is changing your internet connection type. It seems to work for almost everyone who has been able to try it

Really depends on the game. If the game stores its saves to its own servers, then that would explain it.. However, there are no DRG servers to store save files, all cloud saves are done using each platform's cloud save feature. Steam and Xbox provide cloud saves by default, and they're turned on by default, so on those platforms DRG save games do "just work."

For some reason, Sony makes cloud saves only available through PlayStation Plus, and it defaults to cloud saves being turned off. You can still migrate saves from PS4 to PS5 without PS+, but you have to do it manually from the PS4.

Game saves are encrypted, even when moved out of the console, into their usb. They would need to export a decrypted version of their save and rename the save to match the PC versions naming convention for saves (just copy their PC saves name and rename their ps4 save to the same name as the PC save, placing the renamed ps4 save in the folder where steam saves for the game are kept, overwriting the original PC save)

So unfortunately, its not as simple as copy save to usb drive and then move it to PC

Defintely make sure you are either in the Fungus Bogs or Radioactive Exclusion Zone. Afaik Harvesters do not spawn in any other cave type

• Start out on Hazard 2, maybe Hazard 3, at least until you get some Weapon Mods and Perks unlocked.
• Use the laser pointer to identify things and ping stuff for your fellow dwarves.
• Stick relatively close to your teammates. There's a lot you can do when you're together.
• At the very least, it's good form to follow the host's lead with pressing buttons/starting objectives/ending mission. If they're not pressing the button on the Mule to end the mission, then you shouldn't either. They probably want to finish objectives.
• You get more Credits and more XP from completing missions than you do from mining all the gold in the caves. The gold is fun to grab, but for leveling up it's actually faster to ignore gold and get to the next mission. Do make sure you're grabbing other minerals though, as you'll need a ton for crafting Weapon Mods and Overclocks.
• Try all the different classes and all the different weapons for each. You can find many different ways to build and play each class, especially later on as you progress to Promotions and unlocking Overclocks.
• Try to focus on one class until you hit level 25 and promote for the first time. This unlocks the ability to earn Overclocks for the weapons. There's a ton to collect, so it helps to have access to it as soon as possible.

I had a list of tips I written somewhere in here but I can’t find it but my few tips included:

Glowy spots on bugs = weakpoint
Dark areas on bugs = armor
(Which would be obvious but some people forget or don’t know)

Keep an ear and eye out. Those dreaded mactera grabbers and cave leeches are a pain to put up with in the thick of it.

Learn each weapon and find what one calls to you. As a Scout main, my beloved Deepcore rifle has saved me numerous times.

Study each enemy, some are stupid easy to kill if you just simply learn. For example, my go-to method as Scout is to freeze Naeodocytes (the jellies) and macetera grabbers (the overgrown horseflies). They’re pretty much dead as soon as they’re frozen.

The Deepcore rifle is so solid these days. I never thought I'd switch off of the M1000, but it won me back. Not that the M1000 doesn't still call to me, but I'm still having a good time with the Deepcore, so...

I could never get into the M1000. Feels like a nostalgia device to me instead of a viable tool.

I definitely feel like it kinda required you playing just for it: keep far away from bugs and pick them off at range. I felt like it put me in more of a support role of zipping away from the action and then assisting the rest of the team. Careful use of it plus the Boomstick would give you the opening you need to do so, but it was constantly "retreat and snipe" to be viable.
Still, anything that gives me more reason to use the grappling hook is a good thing in my book 😁

The issue is that the PS5 Pro doesn't have the setting.

Oh rip, turn on ping in the network settings in the DRG menu, when you do successfully join each other, look in ur menu screen and see how high ur ping is, the higher it is the more lag and likely disconnecting you will get

Unfortunately, you cannot. Data is only saved locally on your console, and potentially in the PlayStation Plus cloud if you have auto-backups turned on. Sony does not provide a way to transfer from either, and the devs have no access to your save files to facilitate a transfer

Tip for PS greenies, in game text chat has to be turned on in the controls options. It's labeled "open chat" and is off by default, and the only option to use it is R3 twice. Indispensible when you can't mic up. Has the bonus added effect of rock n' stonin

AFAIK no, I don’t think there’s much difference between the 2 versions either, and you get the much better load times on the ps4 version while using a PS5.

It's been this way for over a year. Literally. The reasoning is because they can't replicate the issue so they unfortunately do not know how to fix it.

The only solution is to switch to wifi, if you have the issue on ethernet. And switch to ethernet if the issue is happening on wifi.

Having the issue on wifi is the worst of the two since not everyone can just switch to ethernet of course.

Yes there is. Just have to make sure your ps5 has the "performance mode" prioritized in the system settings. Then the 120 fps option will show up in-game for DRG.

DRG only uses what Sony and Microsoft provide for matchmaking. So, unless Sony and Microsoft suddenly become best buddies and decide to create a way for cross-platform accounts to do matchmaking, it's just not going to happen.

DRG only does peer-to-peer multiplayer. There are no servers like there are with many other cross-platform multiplayer games. The DRG devs would have to invest in server hardware and spend time and resources developing the software needed to facilitate cross-platform play

Everyone would love that, of course (devs included), but it would take a long time and considerable resources to implement. And they're an indie studio, resources are limited and tough decisions must be made on where to use them

what works for me is: connect to wifi, boot game , when loaded and in space hub, disconnect from Wi-Fi by directly connecting your LAN-cable and then i can join lobbies. there where like 2 guys here who had this fix working but from lan to wifi (glad i can play in LAN-Cable cuz wifi is bad

but if where to boot with lan and then switch to wifi i still cant connect to lobbies

Hello! I had the same problem with the ps5 client. After a long time trying to solve it, I started playing with the ps4 client, which works fine. I hope you can find the problem and fix it. But if not, here is a backup plan that works.

Yes you can if it's in the cloud. I swapped from PS4 to PS5 no problem. Only issue will be your trophies reset

Ok yes, you are dealing with the error I'm thinking of. If you can, you should try swapping Internet connection.

This bug is annoyingly old and has plagued us. For DRG, I have to switch to Wi-Fi but I play all other games on Ethernet.

That's sadly the only known workaround but don't forget to submit that bug to GSG if you can so they are reminded we still have this issue

Unfortunately, I've already tried that. I'm usually connected via LAN cable and now I'm testing with WiFi. But unfortunately neither of them works for me. GSG already knows about it. But unfortunately there is no solution yet, except that I can check again whether it is my internet provider's fault

Extremely unlikely. The Steam version is not compatible with consoles for a number of reasons. And, on top of the few, but significant, differences, DRG does not have servers to facilitate accounts on one platform communicating with accounts on another platform. DRG relies entirely on each platform's own matchmaking to establish the peer-to-peer multiplayer sessions

The nice thing about DRG is there is no "correct" way to play:

• Full squad of different classes, everyone playing the class to its fullest: fun.
• Full sqaud of different classes, everyone doing what they want, but communicating (at least when necessary): fun.
• Full squad of only scouts, who will finish some missions incredibly quickly and can be almost untouchable even on Haz 5: fun.

It's always more about the people in the group than is it about the classes chosen, because any class is always viable for everything. Minerals up high are attainable by any class. Some may be a little more efficient than others, but it's rarely a huge difference. Efficiency can be fun, but it's not the only way to have fun

No worries. Like I said, I do like to pop in here occasionally. Content-wise, the game is essentially the same on all platforms, so discussing gameplay is mostly universal. There are a few small differences on console to keep in mind, but, for the most part, gameplay tips work across versions

Scout is best for focusing nitra. He’s also great for killing priority targets and giving everyone light in the dark caves. Scout should have the least kills on any mission tbh

Even without an engi scout can reach all the high up places with a calculated power attack at your feet

Takes practice to do but once mastered you become Karl himself

Exactly it’s the most optimal way but every character has tools to reach those high up veins. Driller has epc mining, gunner has zip line, and engi has platforms. Only reason I say that is because if u are playing on haz 5 then u have to play differently than u would if u were on haz 3
